I always look forward to your videos. This is another good one. I honestly believe the reason they don't report crimes is the scripture that says not to take your brother to court. That one, and the 2 witness rule. I had several friends that were victims of sa in the religion. It has affected them all their lives. I could never be a part of that organization ever again either. Was in for 60 years, woke up after the ARC.

from bitter winter - As American scholar Holly Folk demonstrated in Bitter Winter, the Royal Commission’s figure of 1,006 cases of suspected sexual abuse of minors reflects the sum of all disciplinary reports and referrals, proven and unproven, that had been submitted to the Jehovah’s Witness organization in Australia over a 65-year period. These data were supplied to the Royal Commission by the Jehovah’s Witnesses themselves. The Jehovah’s Witnesses had regarded 383 of the 1,006 allegations as serious enough to be reported to the police, and 161 had resulted in convictions. The Royal Commission’s acquisition of all the remaining cases, which were put at the police’s disposal, has not resulted in a wave of prosecutions, confirming that the judgement of the Jehovah’s Witnesses had been sound enough. The Spanish apostates also omit to mention that, while scholars have criticized the methodology of the Australian investigation, the Jehovah’s Witnesses nonetheless fared better in terms of how they protected children than other religious organizations, including the Roman Catholic Church.

My respect for your well-thought-out lecture. Your statements testify to the fact that you are really guided by a well-trained conscience. Above all, it is remarkable that you can no longer identify with an organization that has proven to be hypocritical in many ways. And that puts the defense of the organization's interests above the protection of children.

@@ucanliv4ever How very sad that you feel the need to stick up for those who commit CSA. You are merely repeating the words of the organization. They say these same words and you are just parroting them. Try thinking about this one without ANY organizational influence and you will see that it is the RESPONSIBILITY of ALL adults to protect children, especially those in positions of trust or authority. It is the responsibility of ALL adults to create an environment where children are safe. There is no greater responsibility in life. I hope you will see that the org does not provide that safety but rather creates an environment where predator$ are free to prey on the innocent with near impunity. There are many thousands of children who have had to pay the price of the organization’s secrecy.

I know someone who personally struggles with addiction issues. His behaviors stem from 90% of this religion. He’s been DF for 23 years. I feel that’s where his addiction comes in. There’s a lot of people who develop those issues who leave this cult. I want raised around it at all or any religion I’ve been coming to know Jesus on my own and starting to read my Bible. I don’t think my husband will ever wake up and not go back. I don’t want him to 😢. I see what it’s done. He talked me into studying and I had a gut feeling quickly that something wasn’t right! I believe that was Jesus telling me to stay away from these false prophets.

I don’t really expect a reply but I’m curious what choices you would have made if ‘getting my family out’ wasn’t an option. For myself personally, and many others, losing my family was part of the price of leaving the Org. I only bring this up to call attention to just how strong the desire to pursue truth elsewhere has to be to feel that even this high cost must be paid in order to be free. I can’t help but wonder if watching others who are otherwise good people make this choice in spite of the cost causes some who remain in the Org to wonder what is really going on. Make no mistake, being a Jehovah’s Witness is hard. I used to refer to it as constantly trying to mentally pound square pegs into round holes. It’s exhausting.

Sometimes the answer is yes, other times it is no. And again, I think personal priorities are the determining factor. As in ‘No way it’s worth that to me, so I have no choice but to refuse’. What is also not talked about is spousal abu$e and SA within the marriage. That was my experience for over 30 years. SA of your spouse is not a grounds for marital separation so if you DO separate, you are considered “not exemplary.” It’s so disheartening to have the choice to either continue to be abu$ed in your marriage or the other option is to be marked in the congregation as someone who is not spiritually strong, have no opportunities for “privileges” and to be made to think you are not acceptable to God. Funny how SA of your spouse is illegal, but not a grounds for separation. Further, if you ever DO get the courage to come forward, you will be told NOT to tell anyone because you will be responsible for reproaching Jah’s name. There is no protection for children or women.

I made a pledge for an infinite amount of time as a minor who didn't even know about evolution by natural selection nor endogenous retroviruses as proof of evolution I didn't know about anthropology or how advanced science is. I wouldn't wish this type of forced ignorance on anyone especially if they are a minor child and especially especially if it is from birth. And you were talking about the elders and how traumatizing they can be??? you should hear what happened to me at like 15: My dad is an elder. And a different Elder while my dad was gone walked me up stairs in a special Kingdom Hall room by myself just with him and he said someone told him I wanted to put my pecker in his daughter Rebeccer. . The irony is I'm freaking gay there's no way in the world I would ever want to do that. Several decades past and now I live across the street from that same exact elder. And one day I was so irritated I walked right over to his house while he was outside working on his lawn and I told him if damn you for doing that to me, for traumatizing me when I was a child how dare you do that you knew that it was wrong in the first place shame on you and f*** you. Since there were not two witnesses I used that against him and I was able to cuss that f***** out and no one can do a single thing about it

Sounds like you have some anger issues, get some therapy, dude, and then reevaluate !An chances are they are not due to that elder only .

JW are harmful because we live in a civilization that ignore the living God and they are giving witness of him: Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered [To Jesus]: “You are the Christ, the SON.. of THE LIVING GOD.” Jeremiah 10:10 But Jehovah is the True God, HE IS - THE LIVING GOD - and the eternal King.- THE LIVING GOD - and the eternal King. Because of his indignation the earth will quake, And no nations will endure his denunciation. John 17:3 Jesus said praying to Jehovah: This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

10:10 "My conscience couldn't bear killing people by unscriptural policy" you said. Does that mean you're ok with killing people if the scriptures call for it?

@@96t5wagon SURE, but that doesn't tell us anything about whether he's ok with killing people according to scriptural guidelines. Christians treat the Bible as a buffet, picking and choosing what they want and ignoring the rest. FFS if they actually followed what it said, then the bible students would have killed Russell for being a false prophet in 1915, and JWs would have killed the entire governing body in 1976! So yeah, i'm asking if Caleb is ok with killing people if the scriptures call for it since calling oneself a christian tells us nothing. It's an honest question on my part and one i don't know if he's considered.

Well done for waking up and leaving that damaging organisation. I pray that you have not turned your back on Jehovah.

Leaving any religion is step one. That often leads to then confirming the bible you once believed in. That often leads to the truth about that as well, which is not good. You should really dive deep on the origin of the Jehovah character.

@@Eric_01Jehovah is the Latinized divine name of God. It’s no problem for believers to use it when addressing the God who made all things, including humans.

Jehovah/Yahweh is actually the devil Jesus alluded to when he rebuked the Hebrews/Israelites for worshipping their father the devil. John 8:44

Any Religion made up by/for Us imperfect Humans, is NOT a "True" Religion... Silliness. ALL Organización have flaws, some more abundant than others. So, just find one that suits one's style and... Enjoy!👍

I was threatened by a unbaptised publisher. He also threatened my unborn baby. I told elders and not a thing was done. Nothing. Not even a temporary stall on d2d. He was straight out and baptised weeks later. The threats was very bad. I won't say it here but the messages I had were very poor from him
