Vulnerability more or less 10% better than def shred most of the time. Then def shred becomes better at 90-100%, and then vulnerability take over again because its not have a limit cap.

He's definitely a character that will be looked upon more favorably over time as more debuff based characters come out and his niche expands. People are too quick to write off supports that don't land within a pre-built ecosystem.

yeah but at the same time its understandable, no one can predict the future and with gacha, when people make recommendations theyre playing with people's time and money, so we really can only go with what we have to determine value, no one's saying he wont appreciate in value, just that his value isnt that high now which is understandable, its up to individuals to decide how they play, and its up to the individual to look at his account to see if they want to pull him or not.

@@viego29 Thats only part of his kit though. His main strength that is most valuable in the current meta is his debuff generation because Acheron is meta and he’s the obvious support for her but his generalist kit of 35%dmg vul and 15% ult dmg vul is also just as broken along with the 28% dmg vul with his S1. Thats a 78% dmg vul from him alone on ult and 63% on every other source of dmg on a debuff that only 2 nihility characters have and is a direct multiplier for your dmg unlike oversaturating crit dmg boost or atk like most Harmony characters. The debuff is simply the cherry on top for future units and makes him bis for them rather than a competitive spot. For example, right now, Yunli’s main source of dmg is converted FUA dmg to Ult dmg which means not only does Jiaoqiu buff both her skill dmg but every Ult FUA dmg is buffed by 50% at base value which means she does straightup 50% more dmg on that atk.

Jiaoqiu's kit fixes all the problems that debuffers usually have, but debuffers are fundamentally less strong than buffers in this game, given that there will always be an EHR check and that they don't have access to action advance/energy. In the damage formula debuffs will almost always be stronger given that they won't be diluted by DPS-self buffs, but debuff multipliers are always so conservative to account for this. Another major problem for Jiaoqiu is how his added gimmick of stack generation is somewhat replicated by the trend LC, meaning that for teams that already had trend LC they don't get as much value from Jiaoqiu. I hope they release characters that work with Jiaoqiu outside of just Acheron (and Ratio to an extent), that also don't need energy or action advance.

Pela is too good AOE Def shed. Any AOE def shed special a limited we should hope to higher and easier to apply. Mean Higher than 40% and have full uptime. But it make Def shed too OP like #50% Shed full time and 90 even 100% every 3 turn is too strong that why Jiaoqui can't have def shed. And again Jiaoqui kit is talon made for Archeron and she is fucking strong already so he get neft again. To bad for him.

“Somewhat replicated by Trend” is not a “major issue”. Trend is inconsistent in the best of times and requires rng and the enemies moving. In fast teams, Trend will simply not be able to activate. The most reliable sustain that can even trigger Trend semi-reliably is Gepard and he’s notoriously harder to build compared to Aventurine. Having guaranteed debuff application on any enemy that moves is way better than a rng lightcone. Edit: Another thing about this is that if you do pull Jiaoqiu, your sustain can use better lightcones like Aventurine’s S1 is more dmg for the team and better team buff.

@@thienluong3796honestly, vulnerability in my opinion is just straight up better since the dmg mod it provides is pure(aka, whatever % the vulnerability is, that’s the amt of the real dmg mod) whereas def shred has a formula making it so that the dmg mod it actually gives is not reflective of the % def shred it has most of the time, it’s lower(like, around 50% def shred only equates to around 30% real dmg mod), it’s only when reaching around 70+ that the mods actually reflect or surpass the %def shred but even then there’s still a limit of 100% shred which grant max limit of 2.15x dmg mod while vulnerability doesn’t have an upper limit which will be shown as future characters with vulnerability get released

@@Shin-gn7ng def shed stack above the Damage mod is much better. Because def shed cauculate before every DamMod apply. So 50% vulnerability + 100% shed is not 0,5+2,15= 2,65 but 2,15x1,5= 3,2 damage mod. That why the Quantum set is still the top tier choice if boss have Quantum weakness.

@@thienluong3796 I’m comparing vulnerability to pure def shred, not shred x vulnerability It’s obvious that different dmg mods being combined would yield the highest results Moreover, 100% shred requires 2 debuffers with shred so the 2.15x mod x 50 vul is counterproductive due having 3 debuffers in a team(assuming ur using hypercarry) vs 1 buffer & 2 different mod debuffers/2buffers & 1 debuffer(dmg boost/crit x vul x shred or dmg boost x crit x vul/shred)

I will say, I don't have acheron's signature but i got lucky with her e1, and i have a very good build on her. I've never had an issue with her damage but her ult charging was tedious, luckily jiaqiou on tutorial with a 2 turn ult rotation completely solved that problem, I like him a lot so I'd pull anyways but he just solves my acheron's issue so well

So I'm actually a little scared I got both jiaoqiu sparkle AND jiaoqiu's lightcone. I had a 50/50 so i got jiaoqiu then i had 7 leftover so i went fuck it and pulled for sparkle. Got her in 3 so i tried for jiaoqiu's light cone got that in 2. Did i just use up all my luck😅.

Jiaoqui might not be everyone cup of tea but I’m very pleased. Heh, there’s something satisfying seeing all the new enemies star burning when they enter the battlefield. tbh I was never going to skip the slightly unnerving, sly smiling foxian kazuha. But his kit and versatility have been even better than I thought. You can even do silly stuff with his depuff-that’s-sort-of-ultimate-boost with ultimate spammers like Argenti. (Real tempted with the first eidolons, but I’m going to wait to see who are coming next before spending the rest of my jades.)

sounds silly but I didn't buy Jiaoqiu because he's better than pela, I bought him for 3 reasons. 1. he is as powerful as an e6 pela at e0 and his e1 and s1 make him even stronger so he has a higher ceiling for acheron 2. he's auto friendly and his debuff is permanent up-time 3. more stacks for acheron
