UD aka OG is basically an assistant coach at this point. He does not come off the bench anymore at this point in his career. We've kept him on the roster out of respect because he wanted to hit the 20-year mark before officially retiring. Now that he did, he's retiring this summer but will continue to work with the Heat in a player development/mentoring capacity.

This is one of those things about this Heat team that doesn't surprise me. And not in a bad way. When they're losing these games against teams resting their stars and key players are lacking effort and constantly fucking up, you get called out. No one on this team is immune to criticism, no one is special. Just a group of dogs who will fix shit if it aint right. From watching this heat team over the years I get the sense that things like this happen more than we think in practice or the locker room. Unless their good with their segways (which coach nick is unfortunately not) the channel will become dependent on forcing ads into their videos because they’re no longer receiving that much needed channel growth. Advertising is very much a double edged sword so you have to be in good standing with your fanbase before you do so. I’m talking regular viewers clicking on the video, growth has to be present and if you aren’t hitting those marks you shouldn’t depend on outside assistance, you become dependent

I expected a way better breakdown of this situation from this page. I think this is spoelstra knowing who his players are and playing with their psychology. UD is a an experienced vet that understands how a 3 game losing streak can turn into something much worse going into the playoffs. Jimmy is an absolute dog that thrives off of high energy and, sometimes, conflict. This team is full of scrappy, hard nosed guys and butting heads is what will build momentum for them most likely. Lmfao got destroyed vs the Nets while Kyrie had a below average game and Durant was good not great lol Miami has been a good team only due to good coaching smh Lowry doesn't even play defense nowadays, Bam is extremely overrated and hasn't improved since his breakout season in 19-20 I'd anything he's regressed, Herro is a sixth man for a reason as he's better then most guys he faces that come off the bench but not good enough that hood to face top competition in a night to night basis, Duncan Robinson has regressed every year since 19-20 to the point he's pretty in playable due to his lack if defense and overall this team just isn't great smh Their starting 5 is pretty weak when you look at it Lowry, Robinson, Butler, Tucker and Bam isn't scaring anyone let be real Lowry is 36 years old, Tucker turns 37 in a little over a month and Butler 32 years old lol not only are they old but they are all 3 guys who have made a living in the league by playing hard and grinding. Also really they don't have any real stars that can put the team on their backs and carry a team unless Butler some how turns back the clock 2 years to the way he was playing in the finals(which was the best he's ever played in his life) he ain't carrying no one anywhere lol this team has simply gotten to where they are by great coaching and to prove that all you have to do is look at their record vs teams above .500 which is 22-21 lol which shows that against top competition they are pretty much a .500 team and against weaker competition they do what is expected of them and win games that they should win.

Spo is a good coach & tactian, & there's still some tank in the guys left & in playoffs, when this becomes half court basketball, they can still be an effective team if the team chemistry is there. I do not see them overwhelming the lot & go to the finals as I just said, their team is sound only. For Lowry, even though he's aging, I still see him as an upgrade to Dragic as he is much better on D & he is more of an offensive threat. It's a bit late to get Oladipo activated & his game is not team game which don't fit well in Spo's system so hard to tell if he can be contributor in playoffs. Let's see how they play in the first round as they can be playing for positions to avoid the Nets.

When I saw this, I knew the league was in trouble. Coach Spo called Butler out and so did the old man, Haslem. My fear was that it would galvanize this damn team and sure as crap, look at 'em. Butler was tough, but two men called him on his shit. But he seemed to listen. I'm a Dallas Mavericks fan. Never had much love for The Heat. But ever since this moment, I kept looking at 'em and they damn near got Boston last year. Butler called his shot after that Game 7 and he just delievered. But I KNEW THIS incident here would bring them together.

Heat is a high functioning analytics team. I think Herro missing and them trying to implement Oladipo back into the mix with no analytics on how he works with any of the units has kind of messed up their chemistry. I'd go back to the regular high energy rotation that involved Caleb, Strus, Herro etc. Plus the last two teams the heat played didn't have full health = no real analytical unit or scheme to challenge those groups. Which is the best way to blow up a team like the heat who rely heavily on stats. I didn't see the winning against the bucks anyway. Bucks are dangerous and may two peat.

Giannis, Middleton, Jaylen Brown, Tatum, Embiid, Zach Lavine, KD, Steph, Kawhi, CP3, D-Book, Ja, Donovan Mitchell, Luka, KAT are all more valuable players to they’re teams and you could argue theirs more players. Though he had better seasons , jimmy is one of the main reasons why Miami is up there. The scoring alone isn’t the reason why, since some of you have also stated that he needs support in that department. Yet he is a complete player, capable of guarding every opponent in the league, he is valuable on both sides of the court. He is one of the the reasons why players come to this franchise and keep improving, though Spoelstra sure enough has his share as well.
