Such an important topic! Not being in Australia I can't comment on the whisky clubs you've mentioned but I am part of two whisky groups in Turkey. One of them which I'm an admin of, do monthly tastings, invite whisky reps and have discounts in certain bars. The other one is just for sample sharing and tends to feature old and rare whiskies alongside a lot of IB's and unicorns. I'm also a member of SMWS UK but like you've said as it's an international community, you can take advantage of their member bars all across the globe. Great information, and I highly recommend anyone who's interested in sampling more whiskies to join a club, it broadens your whisky horizons immensely, alongside making some great friends. Cheers! 🥃
