I liked the he who remains death the laughing as he goes the see you soon with a wink, the break in the fun demeanor when talking about the war, left us wondering what he was really capable of when he wanted to be serious. he didn’t have to be a badass he was selling a new kind of fear. Marvel just fucked it up. If Kang killed Scott this video would not have been made

Yeah sure it’s a new kind of fear, but Marvel did not sell it well at all like you said. I didn’t think He Who Remains’s acting was good enough to sell it either. Plus they were introducing the next Big Bad in a mini television series and ultimately had one poor creative choice after another. Also, this video probably would’ve been made regardless of Scott’s fate. There were a lot of other problems with Kang. But Scott lived in the movie so that doesn’t really matter 🤷‍♂️

Man I still remember seeing Thanos for the first time and then seeing Thor, who was one of my favorites and in the movie before he just became stronger, on the floor almost dead and thanos standing over him, then beating up hulk like nothing, and then killing Loki (for real this time lol) and knowing this movie was about to be awesome

What? He was not poorly received when he showed up in Loki as the Man who Remains. The sour taste as you put it really came about with the terrible Ant-Man movie. Back when Loki season 1 aired most of the reviews, comments, and reactions were positive. You don't have to pull a historical revisionism to fit a narrative, there's enough problems with Kang as is.

I actually disagree. I remember complaints about He Who Remains being a random character pulled out of nowhere for the sake of a cheap surprise and the show’s ending being an underwhelming climactic disappointment, partially because it was full of expositional dialogue. It had left a sour taste in mouths, and Ant-Man 3 solidified a lot of audience’s feelings

they could have cast one or two or even a few of the OG 6 as variants and shown him fighting them. Antman 3 could have been a smaller Avenger Infinity War movie to introduce the new Big Bad but they didn't do it.

All this tell and not show and he died three times and an not hyped for kang if he keeps losing there been no mention of his variants in other storylines and they fumbled the bag with Kang

Kang is a silly joke. He got that all I do is brag aura.! Majors is overrated, his performance does not live up to the hype created by the MCU's enthusiastic supporters. Let's say there are 2 bad guys in school, one who clearly demonstrates his capabilities through actions, while the other merely claims superiority by running his mouth again and again and again. Thanos is the guy who demonstrates his capabilities through actions, while Kang is the one, running his mouth. Following Thanos, the MCU introduces a new villain but fails to allow for organic development, they JUST TELL us that the new guy is bigger and better. They instantly put their puppets to work by making them TELL how kang is better and stronger. They also overexposed this new villain and all they did was make him talk and talk. On top of that, they cast a guy who is trying hard but fails to deliver a compelling performance and it shows. I'm sorry, Kang represents the archetype of a braggart-full of words but lacking in action. Kang the character and Jonathan Majors are both safeguarded by the influence of the MCU and its associates.
