Addiction is a disease, and nobody is a bad person for falling prey to it. But for better or worse, the only way to initiate treatment is for the choice to do so to come from within. There is no need for laughing gas almost ever, it only calms a person down so only for people who are so nervous and won't let her use tools. Getting a mouth of implants can take a while and if he wanted it to be 'quick' it would probably be best to do so under anesthesia.
