Thank you so much for reminding us of this painful part of our history, Mr. Narrator. If we don't learn from it today, worse things lie ahead for us tomorrow. It's very rare to see a government that isn't a puppet of the multinationals. Because ideally, not ruling government in its right mind should ever turn its guns on its own citizenery for the sake of foreign overlords, vut sadly we know the scenario at hand to be the opposite.

You should do France Albert Rene a socialist and second president of Seychelles ruling from 1976-2004. He would later return to democracy in 1990s. Or Blaise Compare, Burkinabe president who destroyed Burkina Faso and Jaafar Nimeiry Sudanese dictator.

In the book having for title: THE STATE OF AFRICA by MARTIN MEREDITH, it's said that in the 1970s and 1980s Nigeria was getting 25 billion USD a year just from its oil production and selling. But this money was shared by those army guys and their followers. E.g. SHANI ABACHA, SHEHU SHAGARI, IBRAHIM BABANGIDA, OBASANJO, etc.

1) Can you speak to allegations that Saro Wiwa was behind the executions of conservative Ogoni leaders that were sympathetic to the federal government? 2) In a subsequent follow up, what has Ken Wiwa done to move the agenda of the Ogoni forward? 3) Have Ogoni conditions improved at all since the executions of the Ogoni 9 to-date? 4) Why did Babangida annul the election victory of Abiola? Was Abacha really the power behind the throne that forced Babangida's hand? Did Saro Wiwa's MOSOP activism have any hand to play in the government's paranoid repression? 5) What part do foreign MNC's and Western governments play in the perpetuation of the chaos and corruption in the Nigerian oil sector? 6) Are there any correlations between the Igbo MEND movement and MOSOP? 7) Or the grievances of Northern jihadi islamist groups like Boko Haram to the Nigerian central government? 8) Is the ultimate solution to the Nigerian Question one of a split of the Republic into three Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani regions that give autonomy to ethnic and religious minorities in these respective regions?

@davidmonda2665. Hi there. To find at 60% answers to all these interesting questions of yours, I suggest you find and read the book having for title: THE STATE OF AFRICA (A history of fifty years of independence) by MARTIN MEREDITH. It is a fascinating book that will help you understand contemporary African politics. Everything concerning Nigeria is covered including KEN SARO WIWA's hanging with his MOSOP guys by the junta led by @GeneralShaniAbasha, etc. I'm a DRC 🇨🇩 national who is very interested in knowing African history. All the best! 🙏🇨🇩🤝🇳🇬

Prevented an ethnic group to gain freedom and turned around to fight for your own people's freedom. Double standards. Saro-Wiwa played a part in almost annihilating a whole tribe. But he backed up the wrong tree.

He was never a hero. He wasn’t a revolutionary. He was a selfish despot. He betrayed igbos during the Biafran war, igbos who today we know would have created an advanced civilization there. He expected the Fulani to be better in his mind, but they rekt him and his community while laughing at him, and then hung him for all to see. A perfect ending for a betrayer
