I once heard from a (Japanese) genshin content creator, when he was asked what is his expectation points for Kokomi, he reply if Raiden was 100, Kokomi would be 98. The reason is because she is Hydro, and a Hydro character will be good without a doubt. I can see his prediction gradually come true now.

@@genshinsage yeah it's rare but what makes hydro so important is that the element is needed on meta comps namely vape, freeze and taser as the enabler of the team. So I think every hydro character released in the future will be sought after.

kokomi's jellyfish really is her bread and butter. that fast hydro application and long duration opens up a lot of possibilities. the problem with her release is that the community always looks at new characters as a standalone and forgets the team building aspect of the game. personally i like running her in a taser comp and now im experimenting with freeze. her and rosaria are a great combo because of their freeze field with rosaria's burst and kokomi's jellyfish. i judge hydro characters not by their ability to do damage but how well they apply hydro. that's why during her beta i was sad to hear that she applies hydro every 2 ticks but relieved when they decided to fix it.

@Ales Avis Yeah, sadly the community really doesn't hype up a character unless they're a mega carry DPS like Ganyu, Xiao, or Hu Tao. Even Raiden was downplayed on release until people realized her actual potential; same with Albedo, Kazuha and now Kokomi. All four are great sub-DPSes and highlight the strengths of their teams!

@@T3d2 don't worry there has been a rumor that their might be a yoimiya and kokomi rerun in 2.6-2.7 and if it's true you will be able to get yoimiya she is a character you should definitely have if you don't have hutao [I don't have hutao ] but yoimiya works as a hutao substitute imo even tho she does not have as much damage as hutao she can fit the Pyro dps role just as perfect as hutao.😇

Despite me having both a C4 Mona and a C0 Kokomi, I seem to have a higher preference to use Kokomi over Mona in both the Morganya and Electro charge teams mainly because her playstyle suits me the most. I don't think I have ever once regretted my decision to roll for her despite fully knowing all of her caveats to the point I ended up bringing her everywhere. I am glad that Kokomi and as well as Qiqi in this update have been both growing in value lately for the community and seeing the unwarranted hate towards characters start to subside and some even a change of heart feels unreal. (Leak/spoilers ahead) I am now setting my sights and my primos towards Shenhe and she is now looking to be getting the same Kokomi treatment before her release. I will try my best to not let all the negative critiques affect my decision to roll but, of course, I need to know what her strengths and weakness are just to make sure I know what to expect. I've decided to use Shenhe and Kokomi both on the same team for an unconventional superconduct team which I have been simulating these past few weeks with Ganyu as cryo support just to play around with the OHC bubble - which surprisingly I am enjoying right now.

Ngl mona doesn't really do much outside of freeze, Kokomi has way better attack speed to drive beidou (which is way more than what omen gives!!) for EC taser teams too and functions as a healer for the team I personally really love kokomi in my sukokomon team, very strong team As for Shenhe, I think she's good, but very specific? Still tcing melt and other reactions to see how good it'll be, but a of the moment, the current theory is that she's there to act as a mona replacement to turn freeze into mono cryo, for situations where you can't freeze anything

@@Hezkun I think Shenhe is specifically made for permafreeze teams not melt/superconduct teams because of her Icy quill effect. Her team composition doesn't have to be mono cryo she just needs another Cryo dps with her and an anemo support + hydro applier. Tho this does not reach the maximum icy quill potential 3 characters are still taking advantage of it so it is still a nice buff to the team while also making freeze reactions

I LOVE my Kokomi!! She's so versatile as a character and I find her really fun to play, especially with the ocean hued clam set. My favorite team is Raiden, Xiangling, Sucrose, and Kokomi. The damage is insane and seeing all the elements swirl is *chef's kiss*. I don't think she's going to be benched anytime soon. I'm even considering triple crowning her!

The criticism of Shenhe isn't necessarily because she's bad but because she's underwhelming. For a buffer/ debuffer based unit a lot of her power is locked behind consts which isn't a good thing not to mention the mediocre buff/ debuff numbers themselves.

The thing is that people who aren't interested in the meta take advice on a characters strength as a personal attack, if it turns out their character is not as good as others. Kokomi is still a very underwhelming character in terms of meta, but who cares. The waifu>meta crew is always like "we only care about fun" and stuff, but when the slightest hint of a meta application of their "underestimated" character gets discovered, they are always the first ones to say "Aha! told you so, hater!" Like i thought you didn't care about meta...

I would also add that her taser team (Kokomi + Beidou + Fischl/Raiden + Venti/Kazuha/Sucrose) is actually extremely strong and very easy to play in contrast with Sukokomon. It's definitely meta, easy and comfortable to play since Koko is extremely tanky, and with the new set it's probably one of if not outright THE best variation of the taser teams at the moment.

I started playing genshin impact a few days before they put Kokomi on and my reason for desperately getting her was how disappointed I was with Xingqiu. Since I got her, Kokomi has been the character that I use the most, I use her on almost any team. But I have to admit that those weeks with people hating Kokomi and attacking some people who liked to play with her almost made me quit the game.

What I don't like about Xinqiu is how dependent he is on Sacrificial Sword. Without the sword, it's hard to get Energy Particles for him without a good battery. Sure, he's an insane support but the fact that he's quite dependent on a hard to get weapon makes it a bit frustrating for me. Kokomi OTH, can just equip TToDS or Prototype Amber (Craftable 4*) while being a good Hydro applicator. She's also not limited to one Artifact. You can use a 4-Pc Milileth or 4-pc Ocean Clam and she's still good with her role while also dealing so much damage on field.

I was waiting for her since her "Mimi" leak and have her and her weapon. My advice to players is to just pull for characters you love and enjoy them. Invest a lot on them, play as them, and treasure them. I have her triple crowned and she's the only character I crowned, she's a very fun character and I'm glad people are starting to appreciate her ^^

Kokomi surprised us all, even me, who initially sacrificed Ayaka, Yoimiya and Raiden for her. I actually gave Kokomi her third crown today!! I use her in abyss with 4-piece clam set and R5 moonglow. My comp for her is Eula, Raiden Shogun, herself, and Diona. The rotation is fairly simple, with burst order being Eula-Kokomi-Diona-Shogun to maximize the Shogun’s chakra charge and in turn recharge everyone else’s burst :))

Really don't get what kokomi does for the team besides being there for fun, this isn't a reaction team and has the healer role already filled. At least replace diona with a more offensive cryo subdps if you wanna play kokomi

I am really proud that I was able to pull kokomi in the last 20 minutes of her banner last year, and I don't regret it, not even the slightest. I first had her as my healer, and then moved her to be my dps which was super fun to do, but then her clam set came out and I decided to use that on her in the end, she still does an amazing amount of damage and I am hoping to atleast pull another one for c1 so she be even better! I love Kokomi her hydro application is amazing and I haven’t used healing food since I’ve got her. I run her on a team with Klee and since Klee is squishy Kokomi always fixes the problem. She’s also there to take out enemies Klee can’t damage. Kokomi isn’t necessarily “meta” but her uses come from making it easier to focus on other things like damage.

She made all the difference in my team! Prior to getting her, I have Yanfei, Noelle, Sucrose and Raiden, and I was struggling really bad, especially with tanky mobs. When I got her and substituted her for Noelle, suddenly I'm clearing domains in 33 seconds. Her elemental enabling is superb. My team is Yanfei, Kokomi, Sucrose, and Raiden, which I think is a variant of Sukokomon, but with Yanfei as dps and Raiden as burst support.

I'm also planning to team Shenhe up with Kokomi and Ayaka, plus Kazuha. If I'm not mistaken, Shenhe is a very good cryo support for Ayaka. Not to mention, Shenhe has a description in her kit that debuffs enemies' both cryo and physical resistance. With that being said, Ocean Hued Clam Kokomi will also benefit from Shenhe's physical resistance debuff to enemies because bubble damage relies on physical damage (you can run Kokomi with an increased bubble damage without using superconduct reaction). I believe this will also be a god-tier team being able to perma-freeze enemies and easy delete them. Not to mention you'll be immortal with Kokomi's godly heals.

I happened upon the Rosaria/Kokomi freeze team by accident and now I find it near impossible to use either of them without the other. Rosaria's Q stacked on top of the Jellyfish gives you a long-lasting, repeating freeze area and you can layer a DPS (I use both Childe and Diluc) on top of it and just whale on stationary enemies that don't have any time to hit you between freezes.

@@Smeik2901 that was when healing was unnecessary or not really sought after Taser team kokomi was still really viable but not really meta due to the time it took you to finish (since you cant really reach the big numbers vaporize and melt have) Both xq and barbara are specialists aka they can only do 1 thing extremely well unless you sacrifice something to make them do something else (aka dps barbara doesnt heal as much as barbara) Kokomi is a mix of every role she doesnt Excel in a particular area but she does multiple Jobs at the same time even while off field Sukokomon is very difficult to play i agree i completely agree but that doesnt mean you cant practice it and i mean If you mess up you can always restart Nevertheless she still has flaws i agree with that

Kokomi is genuinely one of my favorite characters and I use her as the “DPS” that her kit was leaning towards. I managed to get super lucky and get her C1 at very early pity and that’s perfect because it allows her to do even just extra damage straight up. I use her with Xingqiu, Kazuha, and Fischl and run 4pc. Ocean-Hued on her. Adding Xingqiu is a must because not only does he provide more energy for Kokomi, but his C2 provides 15% hydro resistance down to enemies. And not only that, but because of the new artifact set, Hydro resonance finally has a worth while use because it increases incoming healing which adds on to the damage the bubble can do. I’ve actually never been able to reach the 30k with kokomi, but I’ve gotten quite close, even with Xingqiu on the team. But yeah, his C2 adds to the 40% resistance debuff from 4pc VV on Kazuha who also provides around 40% hydro damage bonus based on my EM with him. Fischl is there for Electro Charged. I honestly could replace Kazuha with my sucrose but her stuff isn’t fully leveled up yet, but anyways, this team is so so so good and really easy to use. It’s not the fastest, but it clears abyss just as fast as my “strongest” team consisting of Zhongli, Jean, Albedo, and Xiao. If you have the characters in my main Kokomi team, I highly encourage anyone to try it out! Probably the biggest thing you would need to worry about is ER on Kokomi because it works best when she’s able to constantly have her burst up and with her staying on the field a majority of the time. I have her at a respectable 164% ER with Everlasting Moonglow which also provides energy for her during her burst. There’s also another combination very similar to this that I’ve wanted to do, but haven’t simply because I haven’t built up some characters, which includes Beidou. I call it the Sea Dragonfly Team lol which has Kokomi, Fischl, Sucrose, and Beidou, and would again benefit with Kokomi being on the field the most. I’ve kinda tested it out, but it’s just not ready yet and won’t be for a while, but I can imagine it working quite well.

my main team with kokomi rn is shenhe ganyu kokomi and VV venti, i also tried mono hydro team with childe, kokomi, xingqiu and VV venti and its honestly been very fun. hydro particles go brrr. its not the fastest but hydro is such a pretty element to look at that i cant help but having fun with it based on what you said i kinda want to try electro charged too now, i might try with keqing, raiden, kokomi and venti for a start and then ill try to replace keqing with yae miko if her kit allows it (i love beidou but i cant use her bc claymores are awkward to me)

She was my second five-star character and hasn’t left my adventure or spiral abyss teams even with the backlash surrounding her. I started mid to late September (on Baal’s banner). I was unable to get Raiden but I did get Keqing and Kokomi on Kokomi’s banner. I just really wanted five stars since I was new to the game. I got her in 44 wishes after losing my first 50/50 to Keqing. I have never once regretted getting her!

I loved Kokomi from the start so didn’t understand why people didn’t liked her. I got her C2 with her weapon so she heals like 14k makes everyone inmortal and also enables reactions. I use Kokomi in pretty much all of my teams as a healer/sub-DPS. Giving her plenty of energy recharge gives you almost constant up-time on her burst, and I managed to get good HP% rolls for her clam set! And compared to other hydro catalyst users, her attacks just feel more satisfying to use. My current fav teams for her are Thoma/Yanfei/Fischl/Kokomi (Thoma for shield, Yanfei DPS, Fischl for reactions/energy, Kokomi for healing/sub-DPS) and Itto/Albedo/Gorou/Kokomi (Itto DPS, Albedo sub-DPS, Gorou for buffs, Kokomi for crystallize/healing). They're both pretty fun, and with Gorou's buff reducing interruption, she can become a literal tank during her burst, which is pretty great!

Kokomi Tazer is currently my best team for her, right now. I sometimes do a Mono hydro team when I fight hydro-infused enemies, especially the pyro cube that terrorized me and Barbara while trying to farm for Yoi. Mono hydro is pretty good, makes you feel like a hydro archon. 😅 Kokomi-Mona-XQ-Barbara. Though currently flex position in all my teams are taken by Kokomi. Her healing is just such a huge asset in a team. Works well with Yoimiya's skill downtime. Yoi burst switch to Kokomi burst, vape-proc. Then go back to original rotation.

I use Kokomi with Yanfei, Sucrose, and Raiden way before Sukokomon was discovered. I didn't realize it will be considered meta but I remember being thrilled when I cleared a domain in record time using my Yanfei team with Kokomi, and knew I got something special in my hands. Prior to Kokomi, my team was Yanfei, Noelle, Sucrose, and Raiden. The elemental enabling of Kokomi made all the difference.

I didn't pull for Kokomi since I ended up spending 180 rolls for the Raiden shogun, but I never trashed her and would disagree with those who did. Sure she isn't the greatest unit ever, but her element alone makes her good enough. Not to mention her Jellyfish providing amazing off field AoE hydro application. With theory crafters discovering Sukokomon, I'm considering rolling for her if she gets a rerun as the high skill celling of the team comp is really enticing for me, plus Sucrose and Fischel are characters I want to use, but don't really get the chance to in spiral abyss.

I've used Kokomi on every abyss since she came out, since she makes clears very comfortable. Kokomi + Kazuha + Ayaka + Ganyu on one half, and Zhongli + Itto + Bennett + Gorou on the other has become my go-to setup.

I use Kokomi with Fischl, Kazuha and Bennett since the release of Kokomi. This team is stupidly strong (maybe the strongest team imo) but sadly nobody has noticed it. The team is quite easy to play too comparing to the Sukokomon version. Instead of tediously swirling Guoba in Sukokomon version, Kazuha's Pyro infusion within Bennett burst also gets the job done. Kazuha can even triple swirls, buff 3 elements at the same time, also his Pyro plunge attack can Vaporize and Overload. Rotation is quite simple, drop Benny field, drop the pokemons, Kazuha swirls Pyro infusion, Kokomi burst then start auto attacks. Repeat.

Hello Ive read some players in the comment sectionsharing their own experience on having Kokomi. So heres mine... I started playing on Raiden's banner, when I started understanding the pity system it was already on kokomi's banner I got her on 74 pity it was my first time winning 50:50 on a banner, and honestly I regret having her because of a friend recommendation that shes not good and shes a bad character... but I still opted to use her because shes a five star, but running her was such a good thing! Even tho I didnt use her so much during liyue and dainsleif quest but when I got to inazuma? shes super useful and I used most of the time even up to this day. I even ditched building barbara when I started loving kokomi, her design is very aesthetic and such a good sub dps, healer and support. TBH before, I got mad at myself on pulling and winning kokomi and I agree to most of the hate comments towards her, but when I started to understand her kit, playstyle and her uniqness as a character? Im starting to disagree with the hate comments towards her, and would even love to debate with them, just to defend kokomi lol... I mean how much hate do you need to throw towards her when most of the time she carries me all way out to what I have become today?! And for sure those players who started on Ei's banner ang got kokomi will agree with me too. And honestly, I feel like I dont want her rerun because those DPS players wanna be will surely hate her again, and its not good seeing those hate comments 😔😔, but if she will get her rerun on 2.5 or next patches I hope those kokomi havers will get kokomi!! As what as kokomi said... "Take heart, victory will be ours!!" Fly high fellow kokomrades!!
