This generation doesn't have a clue to God let alone Jesus Christ. Young children today are not made to go to church, they are given choices. Back in the 50's, 60's, 70's & some 80's you had no choice. God thank you, bless you for your Grace and Mercy.

One night I watched the movie Ester. The next day I read the proverb about it being God’s glory to conceal a matter and a king’s glory to search out a matter. Ester had quoted that verse to her husband the king. I turned to the book of Ester where she approached him without having been summoned but he held out his scepter allowing her to come forward. When she spoke she was submissive in speaking, If it pleases the king, If I have found favor in the sight of the king, If it pleases the king to grant my petition an fulfill my request… The Lord God told me He is royalty, The Most High God, and I should enter His presence as such!

That is a good story to explain our relationship with God. I will think on it more, I have read the book of Esther and watched videos.

I don't feel like I understand fear yet. I followed what you are saying. But only a selected few out of total mankind came in direct contact with God... and could barely handle being in God's presence. Isaiah had to be purified. I need more

Indeed there is difference between "fearing God" which is obedience and reverence towards Him and on the other hand being afraid of Him because you have sinned and you're trying to hide it from Him. As it is written, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18 NASB “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7 NKJV

When you're raised in a shallow church, and you don't preach the truth of God's Word unapologetically to the congregation especially to the youth; you're bound to lose your faith in God because you lose that healthy reverence and awe of who God is.
