Having been a christian and worship leader for more than 10 years, I never understood what " the valley of the shadow of death" really meant until i fell into deep dark depression last year. I said it and will keep saying it... pastor Louie, your messages were the strings that attached me to Jesus when I was in that deep dark hole. No one has an idea what depression is until they experience it.

@@l.u.5862 hi there sister... please know that i am praying for you. I know exactly what it feels like to be in that place, it still gives me the chills when i remember that period of my life. You might feel like youre literally surrounded by darkness and wondering if God sees you, He Does!! Keep hanging in there, take it minute by minute, look for professional help if you have to, i did and it helped me. Know that many other christians are going through the same thing, you are not alone. Look for testimony from Aaron Kim here on youtube. His testimonies and Louie Giglio's messages kept me going. If you ever want to talk, i am available.

People truly have no idea. Eveybody is telling you to be thankfull, count your blessings and pull yourself up by your bootstraps....get on with it. If only they knew how incredibly hard one fights just to get up out of bed, to face another day when all you want is to lie down and die. Not bc u wànt to die but life is just to painful. U are constantly in a world of pain, quilt and struggle. But they only see the outside, not the fierce fight inside. And it does not take long for your loved ones to get fedup with u and your constant "negativity". You can see their eyes glaze over when u try to reach out, try to explain, try to get help. I have long given up. 2 years ago God brought me out of the darkest dark I have ever been in, praise His Holy name, and I then realized people cant help you only God your Creator. Its going a lot better, every day more and more. You can never expect people to help you, you will never find your way out of the maze. But I am a living testimony that God truly knows, truly loves u, hold u up with His Mighty Right Hand and shows u the Way, the Light. Believe in Him, trust Him and His love and Grace will envelop you, and make u new. it is not easy, it is not quick but it is the only way. Just you and Him, having endless conversations. He does not get tired, frustrated, expect anything of u but to give your everything to Him and He promised to make u whole. God bless

Heartsore because I lost my husband, daughter, husband's carer, grandson and after this my daughter-in-law decided to divorce my son. I love Jesus and God is in control. At 83 years I am waiting for the rapture. God bless you.

I have been struggling with some pretty severe anxiety for the past 4 months. The ONLY reason I have not gotten into a desperate depression is because I am holding on to the hope of my Jesus.

God bless you abundantly Louis Giglio, for being brave enough to bring this message to people who suffer so much, because of the insensitivity and ignorance of people calling themselves children of God, regarding mental health illnesses. It is so true - you don't get healed overnight, or maybe ever, but this does not take away the fact that God is The Healer; and if you don't get healed or at least not completely, and have to do what is necessary to live the best life you can with the resources available, for everyone around you's sake, He is still Immanuel - God with us for eternity.

I've been struggling with anxiety depression . I fall asleep ok but I wake up in the middle of the night usually around 2-3am and I can't go back to sleep. This is going on for the last couple of months. PLEASE PRAY God would give me the sweet sleep the Bible promises to those who are HIS Children. Thank you!
