Well explained. I've watched many of your videos and never thought any of them were a con. I've had tinnitus for several years. I imagine it was a product of my 22+ years being an LEO. Audiologist helped me with the hearing loss but the tinnitus remains. I'll run the tinnitus program when it's extra annoying. Usually when I haven't slept well or extra stressed. Merry Christmas to you and yours Cliff!

I have consulted with the Lenire outlet in Arizona. This is a very good explanation, utilizing the TRI scores. When you think about it, Lenire is doing an excellent consumer service in attempting to screen out unfit candidates, considering the cost. I plan on doing it, then perhaps coming to Dr. Olson for other tips, and advice on the Apple earbuds for concert going, sports, social things.

Wow, Cliff. I didn't get tinnitus until just a few years ago. But I definitely DO have it now. I find that using my hearing aids helps a lot when I am actually wearing them. Right now they are charging, so I am aware of my tinnitus. Doesn't seem to affect my sleep, however. 😉 Being retired and having a great husband and great sons and grandkids has pretty much removed almost all stress from my life. So tinnitus is manageable for me. 😁

Your videos and interviews with lenire docs convinced me to try it earlier this year. With travel costs I’m out 5 grand for this snake oil device.

@@Andrew-pp2ql I don't recall any warnings. Basically they just pointed to their studies and FDA approval to sell me on it. I have found something that has helped me massively after I tried Lenire though. Let me know if you want more info.

While i have had tinnitus since 1982, i can’t imagine that i would be a good candidate for Lenire. I have been living with tinnitus for a long time and am dealing with multiple different conditions that i am also currently treating. I do try to have minimal background sound on most of my waking hours so the 24/7 tinnitus is not in the foreground . My tinnitus can be quite bothersome at times but this is true of some of my other health conditions. I also do not believe adding another treatment procedure would help at this time. Hope this is a solution for some patients as tinnitus can be quite destructive to one’s mental health.

I searched for and printed out a THI questionnaire. I now know more about how much hope there is than what I did before. Honesty is appreciated. Oh, I scored 32. Don't know if I'm happy or sad about that.

I hadn't previously heard of this device. I have tinnitus, and although it can and does drive me mad on occasion, I have not let it beat me. For me personally, I have found that doing something I like or having to concentrate hard on something, helps me forget the noise in my ears/head. Wearing hearing aids helps.

how about the people that report worsening after using the Lenire? It costs a lot of money for the mixed results and feedback there is about it. I was planning to get it, but I got dissuaded from the reviews I read from people that used it

Thanks for this Dr. Cliff. I was not able to afford the Lenire ….nice to know its not fool proof…doing well with my hearing aids although they seem to itch on occasion. I clean my ears occasionally with a bit of alcohol on a Q-tip…and no worry I don’t stick it in very far, just around where my hearing aid sits.

It would be very helpful if tinnitus management services were covered by insurance - but they are not, and the cost is prohibitive for many, many people suffering from tinnitus. Comprehensive tinnitus care requires the services of an audiologist and often a behavioral health therapist and takes time - often alot of time - which makes it unaffordable for many.

@@DrCliffAuD I'd probably suggest deleting this video and releasing another one that entitled "Leniere isn't *necessary* for mild tinnitus like my own." It isn't that it couldn't work, it just isn't the right tool for the job and that's fine. But you might be putting off people who might otherwise consider it and benefit from it when releasing a video saying it didn't help you personally without saying why in the first five seconds. Some people, like the one who just commented are only going to read the headline and not bother watching the entire video. Those people put a lot of trust in what you have to say and them getting the wrong end of the stick can hurt your reputation and perhaps lead them to making less than optimal choices for themselves.
