Since you arrived Mar del Plata, I'm yet to see any black man, either on the streets or in the shops. Is there any black settlement around, and is it the language barrier that keeps them away? As you work hard to complete the studio apartment, remember Xmas decor which has already started in Europe and America, which would complement your apartment and make it and the surroundings cozy and inviting while you celebrate the arrival of the newborn baby. Would you name the baby Emmanuel or Mary?

The two or three fools who said that Argentina is racist did so for political reasons and monetary interests, never based on reality. Because these people really come from countries that have massacred the African population, and they really know what racism is and their ancestors have lived through this atrocity. Here in Argentina we don't have racial tension, we don't know what that is, nor race wars, nor religious wars, even in Argentina the largest Jewish and Muslim communities in Latin America coexist. In Argentina you don't have to fill out forms to report what ethnicity you are. This country has an enormous awareness of human rights and minorities. Argentina is the least racist country in the world, we are a totally plural society, based on immigration, and we love to be visited, perhaps because of our location on the map. It's very simple, just seeing you walk down the street, and how friendly and totally civilized the people are. THANKS WARMA !

I like this Argentinian city. It's uncrowded, clean, spacious wide sidewalks and no traffic jams. One can breathe and relax. Argentina has Europe vibes, looks much more uncongested and cleaner than Brazil

Marwa needs to understand that Healthcare is not free. There is heavy taxes in Argentina for the citizens

Marwa, you need to apply for a bank debit care so that you can draw your money straight out of your bank. You also need a credit card that allows you to charge for items without taxing you in foreign countries. Try Chase or Citi Cards. With your travels you should have had that kind of bank card by this.Why do you depend on ATM, you are loosing money the way you access your account. Go into your bank and take care of that right away.

When we talk about racism it only hits you once you experience it..and it's not a good thing when another human being humiliates you just because of your skin color. I didn't know about it and didn't care about it until I experienced it first hand..Not all white people are racist and not all black people are your brothers..so we keep moving by being you and doing the right thing..don't judge anyone because of their skin color but their character as a human being.

I too was the product of a home birth because back in the day when I was born that was the custom back then. The midwife would come to the house and assist with the delivery unlike nowadays where births take place in hospitals. I am in my setentas so most people in my age group and from my country would have a similar experience.

One can compare part of the history of Africa with that of America. The Indians were largely cut off from developments in the rest of the world by the ocean and Africa had the same barrier through the Sahara. India, China, the Middle East and Europe had had the opportunity to exchange each other's discoveries for much longer (tens of thousands of years). At a certain point this led to an acceleration. In addition, Africa has little profit in terms of civilization from neighboring Islamic states above the Sahara and this is still the case today. Neither politically nor socially or in terms of merchandise, other than a gigantic long-term cruel trade in slaves that still continues in various forms in those states. In the future Africa will continu to develop in a higher speed cause of all exchanges with the whole world, that s what I think... But don't try to be Europa or America but be selective in what you want to develope and what not.

Marwa, I really appreciate the work you are doing! I don't really agree with you when you say that racism doesn't exist or it's in our own minds. I was born and raised in France, and since 2013, I have traveled to 100 countries. I will say that the more you experience a country, the more you understand the system and how some people can be discriminated. Sometimes you have to go deeper to really understand what is happening in the country you are traveling through. Nos atrae lo distinto, no por mal,sino por curiosidad, por sana curiosidad. We really do not need huge homes, or insude kitchens and plumbing ...just because we can.
