I think It's because of the halo effect, that we as human beings are generally drawn to beautiful/good-looking things. But despite pretty privilege being a real thing , I do think that personality and talent always shines through, for example when you meet your friends at first you judge them by their looks, but later on you stop noticing that and start connecting with them solely based on personality. I think looks can get you an easy start or a good first impression, but what you have on the inside will help you in the long run, beauty fades for a reason.
