Lordship salvation teaches that a true profession of faith will be backed up by evidence of faith. If a person is truly following the Lord, then he or she will obey the Lord’s instructions. A person who is living in willful, unrepentant sin has obviously not chosen to follow Christ, because Christ calls us out of sin and into righteousness. Indeed, the Bible clearly teaches that faith in Christ will result in a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:22-23; James 2:14-26). Lordship salvation is not a salvation-by-works doctrine. Advocates of lordship salvation are careful to say that salvation is by grace alone, that believers are saved before their faith ever produces any good works, and that Christians can and do sin. However, true salvation will inevitably lead to a changed life. The saved will be dedicated to their Savior. A true Christian will not feel comfortable living in unconfessed, unforsaken sin. Here are nine teachings that set lordship salvation apart from easy-believism: 1) Repentance is not a simple synonym for faith. Scripture teaches that sinners must exercise faith in conjunction with repentance (Acts 2:38; 17:30; 20:21; 2 Peter 3:9). Repentance is a change of mind from embrace of sin and rejection of Christ to a rejection of sin and an embrace of Christ (Acts 3:19; Luke 24:47), and even this is a gift of God (2 Timothy 2:25). Genuine repentance, which comes when a person submits to the lordship of Christ, cannot help but result in a change of behavior (Luke 3:8; Acts 26:18-20). 2) A Christian is a new creation and cannot just “stop believing” and lose salvation. Faith itself is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:1-5, 8), and real faith endures forever (Philippians 1:6). Salvation is all God’s work, not man’s. Those who believe in Christ as Lord are saved apart from any effort of their own (Titus 3:5). 3) The object of faith is Christ Himself, not a promise, a prayer, or a creed (John 3:16). Faith must involve a personal commitment to Christ (2 Corinthians 5:15). It is more than being convinced of the truth of the gospel; it is a forsaking of this world and a following of the Master. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). 4) True faith always produces a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17). The inner person is transformed by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20), and the Christian has new nature (Romans 6:6). Those with genuine faith-those who are submitted to the lordship of Christ-follow Jesus (John 10:27), love their brothers (1 John 3:14), obey God’s commandments (1 John 2:3; John 15:14), do the will of God (Matthew 12:50), abide in God’s Word (John 8:31), keep God’s Word (John 17:6), do good works (Ephesians 2:10), and continue in the faith (Colossians 1:21-23; Hebrews 3:14). Salvation is not adding Jesus to the pantheon of one’s idols; it is a wholesale destruction of the idols with Jesus reigning supreme. 5) God’s “divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life” (2 Peter 1:3; cf. Romans 8:32). Salvation, then, is not just a ticket to heaven. It is the means by which we are sanctified (practically) in this life and by which we grow in grace. 6) Scripture teaches that Jesus is Lord of all. Christ demands unconditional surrender to His will (Romans 6:17-18; 10:9-10). Those who live in rebellion to God’s will do not have eternal life, for “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” (James 4:6). 7) Those who truly believe in Christ will love Him (1 Peter 1:8-9; Romans 8:28-30; 1 Corinthians 16:22). And those we love we long to please (John 14:15, 23). 8) Scripture teaches that behavior is an important test of faith. Obedience is evidence that one’s faith is genuine (1 John 2:3). If a person remains unwilling to obey Christ, he provides evidence that his “faith” is in name only (1 John 2:4). A person may claim Jesus as Savior and pretend to obey for a while, but, if there is no heart change, his true nature will eventually manifest itself. This was the case for Judas Iscariot. 9) Genuine believers may stumble and fall, but they will persevere in the faith (1 Corinthians 1:8). This was the case for Simon Peter. A “believer” who completely turns away from the Lord plainly shows that he was never born again to begin with (1 John 2:19). A person who has been delivered from sin by faith in Christ should not desire to remain in a life of sin (Romans 6:2). Of course, spiritual growth can occur quickly or slowly, depending on the person and his circumstances. And the changes may not be evident to everyone at first. Ultimately, God knows who are His sheep, and He will mature each of us according to His perfect time table.

The Lordship salvationists try to produce within themselves a righteousness that will be acceptable to God without the spirit of God in them. It is the way that seemeth right to men, but in the end it is death. They are modern day Pharisees. They do not believe in the Blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin. All they do is spew hate because no one is living up to their own self righteousness.

It is not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord .. if I try to do good works of myself then it's of myself but if I do it in the name of the Lord then I'm leaning on the spirit of God for direction and for understanding .. see how he started his message off .. never praying or allowing the spirit of God to have his way in the meeting .. U gotta watch out for pastor's who want to be the voice .. instead of God .. but with these pastors " hey those people that sit under U .. there not your people that's God's people not yours" your only a tenant who supposed to be looking after the vineyard for him " Because your dependence should be on the spirit of God for guidance " he's your helper he's your teacher .. but there's nothing wrong with listening to people .. but U don't follow anyone like " I follow Paul I follow Apollo .. we follow Christ .. if a pastor does not allow the spirit of God to be in his meeting with prayer then it's all of himself in his teaching .. most of us don't believe how's he's saying what he thinks he knows .. most of us are not like what he said .. Being a good Samaritan is not just a one off thing that we do .. it's a constant thing that we do ? Whenever ? Abiding in the vine is not just a confession .. it's a walk " a constant walk ..it's free for us to do or choose .. if we want to be close to God it's a free choice to do so ? Prayer is not just a one off thing that we do .. prayer is a constant thing that we do it's free for us to do " and free to do so ? Did you hear about the prophet in Africa telling his followers to eat grass .. so those people go and eat grass .. do not let people do the thinking for U .. U can have independent thinking 🔈

@@rustystevenslee8690, Salvation is a free gift, not based on anything that you do. You're playing semantics in your statement. This pastor is not saying it's his words, so you accuse him of. I'm quite sure he spent a good amount of time in prayer and studying before he taught this message. No Christian is perfectly obedient, but you say that you must walk in a continual walking in the Spirit. Its subtle, but you are adding 'works' by what you are doing, to salvation. Have you not listened intently to this message? Are you still trusting in what YOU are doing to attain salvation? You accused him of not praying before his sermon, but you don't know if he did before he started talking.

Theyownyou my stepdad is too and so was his father. Freemasons are controlled by the illuminati. Unfortunately they don't know what they are getting into until they get up to the 33rd degree. Maybe not even then. They don't worship God, Jesus Christ. The Kabbalah is placed on the alter along with the Bible. And they must speak a blood oath (we are instructed strongly not to ever swear an oath) and the pentagram is prevalent along with the goat head (baphomet). Research it. I pray that they are forgiven and shown the truth. They aren't allowed to say "in Jesus Christ's name I pray" ever at the meetings. It puts all religions equal. I watched a few testimonies of former 33rd degree masons. Check it out if your curious. God bless.

I believe in some form of globalist control group like the Illuminati, but the idea that all masons, even those who are only 33rd degree (which isn't hard to obtain anymore) are in on this monolithic conspiracy, but are all completely silent is a little hard to believe. There is no denying that their practices are in the occult, as I've read their literature (Albert pike), but I generally do not lump them in as all being "in on it". My wife's grandfather was a mason and you couldn't have met a kinder man. I think that all globalist may be masons, but not all masons are globalist. My friend who is a mason is a small government libertarian who hates globalism and hes 33rd degree master mason. So, it's not enough for me anymore to find out someone is a mason. The organization itself isn't even what it use to be 50 yrs + ago.

Theyownyou oh yeah no I don't believe that they are all in on it either. My stepdad is a very kind and loving man who is saved as well. There is a lot of propaganda out there and to sift through and find accurate truth is tricky. I think many saints see Freemason and assume lost, which is unlikely that all are in on the big secret and worshiping Satan. I do believe that there are dark principalities in places of power, even in the pulpits professing to worship God but leading sheep astray, so on and so forth.

robbo tha born again christian yobbo- "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth" (1 John 1:6). The Scriptures also say, "He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesses and forsakes them [repentance] shall have mercy" The apostle Paul would have told you that you were not saved at 10 if you did not confess Jesus Christ as your Lord, meaning you formed an attachment to His person and began to serve Him in obedience turning from all your sin. You probably never heard the true gospel and so you were told you were saved by a friend or pastor or somebody in your church but frankly you sound like you were a false convert that scripture describes in many places as those who were enlightened and had a false faith without repentance. Being baptized by water and joining the church is no proof of salvation and neither is saying a prayer to ask Jesus into your heart. Hear me now: without repentance there is no salvation or forgiveness of sins. Faith and repentance go together and can never be separated. As one brother in Christ has said: "Professors may go a great way, and after all draw back; and this drawing back from God is drawing on to perdition: the further we depart from God the nearer we approach to ruin. Those who have been kept faithful in great trials for the time past have reason to hope that the same grace will be sufficient to help them still to live by faith, till they receive the end of their faith and patience, even the salvation of their souls. If we live by faith, and die in faith, our souls will be safe for ever. "NOTE: A true child of God has an ongoing and earnest desire to please God because he loves the Lord Jesus Christ and a demonstration of this love is obedience to His commands. Jesus said: "If you love me keep my commandments." He also said "Why call me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say?" Luke 6:46 Jesus had many followers, who pretended to honor Him as you apparently did but who never had any evidence they were truly born again. You many or may not be saved now but from your own testimony you were never saved all those years you were practicing sin and showed hatred from the Lord Jesus Christ. You brought shame upon the name of Christ by your behavior even as I did in my false profession. You see I also thought I was saved at 14 because I asked Jesus to save me but I later realized I wasn't because I never had any fear of God. The fear of the Lord is to depart from evil. Check my channel out because I have many good videos that will help bring you to a better understanding of what it means to be a Christian.

Can you prove anything you say with scripture? 1 John is speaking to those who were rejecting Christ walking in darkness they were not receiving the light who is Jesus.. It goes on to say that those who believed they were without sin, like the pharisee's were deceiving themselves and the truth was not in them.. They were told if they confess that they were sinners through faith in Christ they would receive forgiveness of sins being cleansed from all unrighteousness as every believer receives Christs imputed righteousness through faith in the gospel.. 1 Cor 6:11, Rom 4:22-24, 1 John 1:7-10 KJV You're deceived as you're teaching that service is required for salvation that if one is not serving then one is not saved and one must keep serving to stay saved.. This is rejected salvation as a free gift is it not?

Amen Bro robbo. Many of us have been prodigals. But Jesus never left us or forsakes us. When we become a child of God by faith alone. we are sealed unto the day of redemption by the spirit of God that dwells in us. Ephesians 1:13. I love to hear stories like yours because I to was a prodigal. But Jesus always brings us back into the fold. I love the story He told of when He had a 100 sheep. But when He counted them, He only had 99. He left the 99 to go our to find that lost sheep and was not satisfied until He found it and carried it back into the fold. You can not call Him Lord until you have trusted Him to save you. Lord Lord, what about all of my good works. And Jesus said, depart from me, I never knew you. Not I did know you and now I don't, I never knew you. All of those that have trusted Jesus as the only way to be saved, without works, will be saved. If repenting of sin would save you, then Jesus died in vain. If turning from your sin to God would save you, then Jesus died in vain. If baptism would save you, then Jesus died in vain. If committing you life to God would save you, then Jesus died In vain. If surrendering your life to Jesus would save you, then Jesus died in vain. What ever you are trusting in that is not Jesus free gift of salvation, is not goings to save you. We can only be saved by what He did for us on the cross. Not by our works, what we do or do not do. If you have trusted Jesus as the only way of salvation without any thing from you, then you have eternal life and can never be lost. If you are trusting in your works to save you, you have not trusted Jesus to save you. No one can be good enough to go to heaven. But when we trust Jesus alone to save us by grace, He gives us eternal life through the spirt that says I will never leave you or forsake you no matter what. Ephesians 1:13 But you have to trust Him as the only way to be saved, by His finished work on the cross. Jesus came to save sinners, which we all are. First John 1:8 says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive our selves and the truth is not in us.

We should be obedient..to Hos commands..by getting baptized... joining a local body of believers... regularly partaking of the Lord's table...looking for ways to serve Him... Romans 12:1 states ... to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice.... this means.. what ever we can do for Christ ... do so... you can join the church choir.. play in the church band... teach Sunday school classes.. serve during VBS... witness to those you meet... hand out tracks... continue.. to read and study His Word..... grow in Christ....love the Lord your God...with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength... when one loves God.. things His work will come to us.. we will know what it is....

@Diego Cerda A King James only church .. IMO would be preferable... but If you can find a GOOD church with a preacher that preaches from the word of God... and encourages reading the word of God.. that would be a start... ... many protestant....churches.. today... do Not practice.. the Lord's table on a regular basis... I feel it is important Not to neglect the partaking of communion with fellow believers....so ... also.. you might ask about how often This is done... If you find a bible believing.... preaching church.. more than likely.. if you ask to join..... the pastor and others may wish to talk to you....about how you came to believe in the Lord.. thru a friend?....or by reading God's word.?..they ask because they care.. they want to help you in your walk with the Lord...//. in my situation... I felt the need for God in my life.. and so ...one Sunday.morning.. I made the decision to go to church with my wife and 3 children... perhaps it was God calling me... the church I went to was a Baptist church.. and they read from the KJV and the NKJV.. though some members there used NASB. but the point is.. THEY READ FROM THEIR BIBLES.. and encouraged us ....when Not in church to do the same... the Next thing a Good church will want you to do.... once you have told them about your belief in Jesus...they ... will want you to get baptized by submersion.. .. by being dunk underwater...this is a symbol .. that we have believed.. and lastly.. they will accept you into the membership of the church... when I went to church the first time.. I expressed that I wanted to be saved.. and that I believed in Jesus...to the pastor.. .. within two weeks.. I was baptized and added to the church as a member.. the church I am attending now is preaching from the NASB... the church I attended for over 20 years closed due to Covid.. in 2019...I read from the NASB when I am in church now..so I can follow along with what the pastor is preaching.. but when I am at home I mainly read from the KJV.. If you find a church preaching the word.. though that is a start...of they preach from the KJV,.. that is very good... but try to find a church that preaches from God's word.. I prefer the KJV.. I have done a lot of studying over my 30 years.. of teaching.. it in Sunday School and studying at home... but I would Not refuse to go to church until I found a KJV only church...while you are looking .. if you wish ... you can visit different churches.. and find one that YOU know you will want to attend steadily... then ask to join ...God Bless...

Bible Verses that Lordship Salvation people cannot STAND: "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 "I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly." Galatians 2:21 "For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh..." Romans 8:3 "So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy." Romans 9:16 "But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace." Romans 11:6 "You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace." Galatians 5:4 "....because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction...." Romans 3:20-30 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS." Romans 4:1-7 "....nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified." Galatians 2:16 "....who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity..." 2 Timothy 1:9 "....But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit..." There are different works. Paul is addressing those confused by the WORKS OF THE MOSAIC LAW so he makes it clear that the works of the law or man's own attempt at working his way to salvation is futile. The works of GOD are performed through the spirit of God by them that have received the spirit through having sincere faith in the person and word of the messiah. To understand this now pull up the scriptures explaining the faithful doing the works of God in the new testament.

Praise God somebody gets it. Those that are trusting in their works are not saved. We are counted righteous before God by faith alone. Romans 4:1-2 If Abraham was justified by faith alone. If He was justified by works, He would have something to glory in. Matthew 7:15-23 tells us how to tell false teachers. They all add works to grace. Galatians 1:8-9 Paul said let them be accursed. We are saved by grace, and do good works because we are saved. Not to save us. That was done at the cross. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. Amen! Also, 1 John 2:1-2. He (Jesus) is our propitiation (atoning sacrifice) for our sins. He (Jesus) paid in full our sins; past, present and future sins. Then he freely offers any of us his righteousness for our wretchedness. But the pridefulness of man just can't accept this free gift. He so desperately wants to boast in what he does. Instead of what Christ has done. This shows just how wretched we are as people. I've talked to folks for hours upon hours, and it amazes me how they won't humble themselves to see that nothing good dwells in them... Nothing. And ALL the glory goes to God, who is rich in mercy. Great teaching from Yankee as usual. I hope many more will begin to listen to his messages. Not many are teaching truth anymore. Lordship salvation is carnal teaching which keeps man in his flesh. For the Christian, he is building on the foundation of Christ with "wood, hay, and stubble". For the lost man, he is taught to trust in his own works to be "truly saved", so he never learns the truth of the gospel because that is NOT the Word of God and "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17). The lost man will likely remain lost because he thinks he is saved, but in reality he has "a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof".

@@jeffcarlson3269 John 6:29 states, Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” the main theme of the Sermon on the Mount is not only for believers, but it’s so we don’t be like the pharisees, trusting in our own righteousness. for example, in the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5:20 states, “For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. so we see that we can’t depend on our own righteousness, but only Jesus! those talked about in Matthew 7:21-22 were depending solely on their own works, for example, if we look at the passage you talked about, it’s says continuously, “HAVE WE, IN THY NAME” so we see these people did everything they did to earn their way into heaven, when Scripture teaches to believe solely in Jesus! once we start adding things to salvation, we get closer to other man centered religions. those people Jesus talks about, He never knew them not one single second of their lives, because they didn’t think Jesus sacrifice was enough. am i saying we shouldn’t repent of our sins? no, we should. am i saying we shouldn’t do good works? no i’m not saying that. however, to be saved, we have to deny all hope in ourselves, and know it’s not good enough whatever we do, we have to trust only in Jesus! hopefully i made myself clear!

LORDSHIP SALVATION DEBUNKED. The account of the demon possessed man in Mark 5:18-20 who was healed and SAVED by Jesus debunks Lordship Salvation's false teaching that one cannot be saved unless one makes Jesus as "Lord". Mark 5:18-20 - 18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil PRAYED HIM THAT HE MIGHT BE WITH HIM. 19 HOWBEIT JESUS SUFFERED HIM NOT, but saith unto him, GO HOME to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. 20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. The man who was demon possessed and healed by Jesus obviously wanted to follow Jesus as Lord as the context of verse 18 clearly indicates, BUT Jesus told him "NO", but that he should go home and tell his family and friends how God has been gracious to him. This same account is recorded in Luke 8:38-39: 38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed BESOUGHT HIM THAT HE MIGHT BE WITH HIM, BUT JESUS SENT HIM AWAY, saying, 39 RETURN TO THINE OWN HOUSE, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. From these 2 accounts, it is obvious that this healed man who is no doubt SAVED WANTED TO FOLLOW JESUS AND BE HIS DISCIPLE AND MAKE HIM LORD, BUT Jesus said "NO", thus debunking Lordship Salvation.

@@ilikemusicalot8397 I am saying that Jesus said to the man that following Him is not imperative for salvation. Keeping His commands, reading Scripture, praying, etc, are all FELLOWSHIP issues, not salvation requirements. There are many devout Roman Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Calvinists, Arminians, etc, who all keep His commands, read the Bible, pray, etc, but are not saved. They all have one thing in common, that is, they all deny once saved always saved/eternal security and will either front load or back load the gospel with works. (The front loading of works "to get saved" and the back loading of works "to stay saved"). They deny unconditional eternal security by an unfailing Savior ( John 10:28-29, Romans 8:38-39) and teach CONDITIONAL eternal security that is dependent upon the believer's work performance in this life.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Thomas who was determined to live a good and righteous life. He believed that by his own efforts, he could attain a sense of fulfillment and make a positive impact on the world around him. Thomas diligently followed moral codes, performed acts of kindness, and pursued various religious practices. However, as time went on, Thomas began to realize the limitations of his own strength. He found himself repeatedly falling short of his own expectations, and his efforts to be good seemed to only lead to frustration and disappointment. Thomas felt overwhelmed by his own failures and the weight of his shortcomings. The more he tried to be good, the more aware he became of his inherent weaknesses and inability to live up to his own standards. One day, in the depths of his despair, Thomas encountered a group of people who radiated a joy and peace that he had never witnessed before. Curiosity compelled him to approach them, and he discovered that they were followers of Jesus. They spoke of a different way of living, a life transformed by faith in Jesus rather than relying on their own goodness. Intrigued by their testimonies, Thomas embarked on a journey to learn more about this faith in Jesus. He studied the Scriptures, seeking to understand the message of hope and redemption that they contained. As he immersed himself in the teachings of Jesus, he realized that his pursuit of goodness was futile without a foundation of faith in Him. Thomas began to grasp the profound truth that Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save it. He understood that true righteousness and transformation came not from his own efforts, but through faith in Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit within him. He learned that Jesus' death on the cross paid the price for his failures and shortcomings, and through faith in Him, he could find forgiveness and a new way of life. With a renewed perspective, Thomas surrendered his striving for goodness and embraced a life of faith in Jesus. He experienced a profound shift within his heart as he learned to rely on the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The burden of trying to be good on his own was lifted, and he discovered a newfound freedom and peace in knowing that Jesus' grace covered his shortcomings. As Thomas continued to walk in faith, he found that the fruit of the Spirit began to grow within him. Love, joy, peace, patience, and the other qualities that he had once strived for began to manifest naturally as a result of his intimate connection with Jesus. It wasn't about his efforts anymore; it was about the transformative power of faith in Christ working through him. Thomas' story became a testament to the amazing grace and love of Jesus. His journey from striving to be good to finding a new way of living through faith in Jesus became an inspiration to those around him. Through his transformed life, others witnessed the power of Christ's redemption and were drawn to experience it for themselves. And so, Thomas's story serves as a reminder that true righteousness and transformation are not achieved through our own goodness, but through faith in Jesus. It is in Him that we find forgiveness, freedom, and the ability to bear the fruit of the Spirit.

There was never a man saved who did not contend with sin afterward. 'If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father' John, referring to believers writes, 'If WE confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive US OUR sins' 'WE, US, and OUR are refer to WE, US, and OUR refers to believers. Were you immrdiately perfect after your conversion? If so, you are the only one ever to have been so and you will not even need correction...EVER. Please study this issue further! I beg you! This man is not representing the other side accurately! As a general rule one must go to several original sources from BOTH sides! I am grieved by the heresy that independent fundamentalists have begun to export across the seas! Yours is not the Biblical (nor historical) position! Have heard of the famous preachers and heralds for the Gospel like Charles Spurgeon or Martin Luther or George Whitefield or John Foxe (Foxe’s book of martyrs) or William Carey or Jonathan Edwards? They all preached faith alone through Jesus Christ! They also preached solemn messages to people that they faith without works is dead! They preached that you must be born again! Without holiness no man will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14)! Jesus is the Author of eternal salvation to those that obey (Hebrews 5:9)! Salvation is by faith alone, but the evidence is the fruit of the Spirit, holiness, etc. Please consider what you have been taught and search the scriptures. Trust Christ alone, but not so that you can do your own thing and live like the devil. I am not accusing you people of licentiousness, but your doctrine allows for it. The Bible doesn’t. Please read Ezekiel 11 and 36; Jeremiah 31; Hebrews 8; Matthew 7 and 25; John 15; Romans 6-8; I Corinthians 15:1,2; Ephesians 2:8-10; James; and I John. I hope and pray that you will repent of your ways and trust Christ (if you have not actually been born again). Whether or not you folks are really saved, I pray that you come to see the error of this video. I shall be praying for your ministry to become solid in sound doctrine. I plead with you again to read more than the texts that I provided. Read all of the epistles and the gospels and the whole New Testament, I urge you to study this. This is about eternity. One should stop to realize what that means! Oh, please! Do not assume that you have been led correctly! Be Bereans! What if this video is right! Then after much study you will be equipped to help others being led astray. But what if you are the ones being led astray! To not study this would be folly! People study controversial topics like eschatology or translations or baptism - and these should be studied! But so much more should the gospel be carefully searched in the scripture! I will be praying that God would open your eyes. I hope that I have been courteous enough, your church may be true but unstable. Again, I will be praying. God will save His elect. Amen.

If we live like the world the unbelievers won't understand why they need a savior, our Savior Jesus Christ. If we are sheep dressing up like wolves to blend in then our witness is of none effect. @@garyleemusic Your emphasis and outcome is correct, however it must be pointed out that repentance in the biblical sense is not a change in behaviour, but a change of mind. So when the apostles commanded people to repent, they were essentially telling them to trust in Christ rather than themselves. And this repentance itself comes by grace, for faith is a gift of God. Thus we are told elsewhere that God has to "grant" people repentance. Note then accordingly that we are not told to renew our minds, but to "be renewed": we are passive in the scheme of things, for we are the Woman, not the Husband: it is the Husband's 'seed' which seeks out the Woman's egg, and not vice versa. And thus we are also told not that we know God, but "rather, are known of Him", for we are also told that it was Adam who knew Eve and not vice versa. So it is all of grace, and all of the power of God, lest any man should boast.

@@lawrence1318 the meaning of the word "repentance" depends on the context. It can mean change of mind and also to stop sinning depending on how it's used. II Timothy 2. If you read the whole chapter, it's clear this is NOT about how to have eternal life. It's about Christian living and correcting those who are teaching wrong things about Christ. Eph 2:8-9: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." - the gift of God is salvation,. Faith is not the gift. Faith is same as belief - simply being convinced that Jesus is the Christ, the one who promises eternal life to all who believe in Him for it.

@@garyleemusic Being convinced about Christ, is a gift, for the convincing comes from the Holy Spirit. Thus: "faith consists of the evidence of things unseen". The only evidence of unseen things, is the indwelling Holy Spirit. There is no other evidence. As for repentance, it always means "change of mind". That is its definition. So your doctrine is humanism, dressed up as Christianity. The 'salvation' of which you speak, is a natural salvation, not a supernatural salvation.

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled amidst fields of golden wheat, there lived a humble servant named Samuel. Samuel was a faithful follower of Jesus and had been entrusted with the task of sowing seeds of the Gospel in the hearts of those he encountered. One bright morning, Samuel set out on his journey with a bag of seeds slung over his shoulder. As he walked along the dusty path, he pondered the words of Jesus from the Gospel of Mark, chapter 4. Jesus had told a parable about a sower who went out to sow seeds, and how the seeds fell on different types of ground. With each step, Samuel realized that the hearts of people he would meet were like the various types of soil described in Jesus' parable. Some hearts were hard, like the path where birds quickly snatched away the seeds. Others were rocky, where the seeds sprouted but withered due to lack of soil. Some hearts were thorny, choked by worries and distractions. And then there were hearts that were like good soil, ready to receive the seeds and produce a bountiful harvest. Samuel understood that as a servant of Jesus, his role was simply to sow the seeds faithfully, without knowing the nature of the soil he encountered. He realized that he couldn't judge the hearts of others or determine the outcome of his efforts. That was the Lord's domain-the Lord of the harvest who could work miracles in any kind of ground. As Samuel walked through the village, he met a wide array of people. There was a wealthy merchant busy with his business affairs-a heart preoccupied by worldly success. Samuel shared the Gospel, knowing that even the thorniest heart could be transformed by the power of God's love. Next, he encountered a group of villagers engrossed in gossip and idle talk-a heart consumed by shallow desires. Samuel spoke of the eternal truths, knowing that even the rockiest heart could be softened and made fertile by the grace of God. Further along, Samuel met a weary farmer, burdened by the toil of his labor-a heart weighed down by worries and anxieties. Samuel shared the comforting words of Jesus, trusting that even the most troubled heart could find solace and rest in the arms of the Savior. Throughout the day, Samuel sowed seeds of hope, love, and redemption, unaware of the hidden potential within each person he encountered. He trusted that the Lord would work within their hearts, causing the seeds to sprout and grow, despite the condition of the ground. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Samuel faithfully continued his task, never discouraged by the external appearances of the hearts he encountered. He knew that his role was to sow the seeds, while the Lord of the harvest held the power to transform lives. One day, as Samuel sat under the shade of a tree, a familiar face approached him-a face that belonged to the once-burdened farmer. The farmer's eyes gleamed with joy, and he shared his newfound faith in Jesus. The seeds that Samuel had sown had taken root in his heart, and a harvest of transformation had sprung forth. Filled with gratitude, Samuel realized the beauty of the Gospel message-that the Lord could work in any heart, regardless of the condition of the soil. He rejoiced, knowing that the faithful sowing of seeds had the power to bring forth a harvest beyond his wildest imagination. From that day forward, Samuel continued to sow seeds, knowing that within each heart lay the potential for a glorious harvest. With every encounter, he saw the faces of those who had been transformed by the power of God's love, and he marveled at the incredible work of the Lord of the harvest. And so, Samuel's faithful service in sowing seeds became a testament to the boundless grace and transformative power of the Gospel.

His definition is flawed at the very beginning. Those he would label LS, do not believe salvation is earned through works. We believe in Jesus' call to repentence. Repentence is not a work. It is an internal recognition of sin, and our fallen state, and a changing of the mind, often accompanied by a Godly sorrow and conviction.. This allows us to receive the Holy Spirit. Receiving the Holy Spirit results in conversion. The fruit of that Spirit are good works. If you dont have fruit, you don't have the Spirit....you arent converted. You dont know Jesus. Acts 2:37, When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. So then, how do you know you’re saved? Because you believed in Christ’s atonement on your behalf or because you have the good works to confirm your salvation? If it is the latter, then where is the grace? How could your salvation be a gift? I agree that salvation should result in improved character and behavior, but I think it’s better to focus on why we’re saved rather than trying to check if we’re saved. If someone gives you a gift, do you have to check how the gift changed you to ensure you received it? Can’t see the logic!

The Bible has much to say about obedience. In fact, obedience is an essential part of the Christian faith. Jesus Himself was “obedient unto death, even death on a cross” (Philippians 2:8). For Christians, the act of taking up our cross and following Christ (Matthew 16:24) means obedience. The Bible says that we show our love for Jesus by obeying Him in all things: “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). A Christian who is not obeying Christ’s commands can rightly be asked, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46).

Imagine the apostles did no works of God.(not the law or own works) You wouldn't even have a book to teach false doctrine about 📖 Do you suppose the spirit of God inspires zero change? Rediculous. The reason believers are not all on the same level is because we all have a different measure of faith yet faith in the living God grows and produces fruit AS IT IS WRITTEN. The Bible directly explains this in clear words so choose the words and teaching of scripture and Christ himself or choose the ideas of this man.

God wants you to do good works from the sincerity of your heart. If you doo good works to show to yourself you are saved, you do them for a selfish purpose and such good works are NOT accepted by God. The blood of Jesus covers ALL possible imaginable sin a man can do in all his lifetime. If the blood of Jesus was not able to do this it means it was not the blood of God but the blood of a devil. Anyone who believes that he is saved because he is not a sinner is a liar because ALL man sin until they die. The sinless perfection requested to fulfil Lordship Salvation is an abominable blasphemy because wants you to believe that at the moment of salvation God transformed also your physical body in a perfect sinless body which is the same one of Christ. @edoardo_roncelli
@edoardo_roncelli 2 жыл бұрын
@@2Chronicles714_ all my points are supported by scripture, which is the TRUE ONLY Bible, the _King James Bible Authorized Version 1611._ The AV 1611 perfectly foresaw the End Time appearance of modern heretic bible perversions as NIV, ASV, ESV, NASB, Hollman, NKJV, etc., which infected the body of Christ on earth with Babylonian/Catholic doctrinal viruses as the Lordship Salvation. The first epistle of John in particular deals with the early manipulation of the doctrine that today is smuggled as "advanced translations of ancient bible manuscripts" (textual criticism). It is sufficient to quote the _Lordship Salvation-buster_ verse, 1 John 1:9 -------> *If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.* Manipulators of the doctrine or people ignorant about the Bible (who are prey of cunning dishonest false prophets and evil teachers) immediately will exhibit the verse as proof of LS. But they are tremendously ignorant (or, dishonest), to hide the fact that when John wrote his epistles, he had ALL the letters of Paul in front of himself, where the doctrine of the reward in heaven based on our service to Jesus Christ was clearly established. Therefore when Jesus forgives our sins when we confess them, is clearly understood by the context of 1 John that it refers to born again Christians whose sinful body has already and _irreversibly_ spiritually detached from the soul, in that guise SEALED for heaven. That doesn't mean a born again Christian has "free licence" to sin. Indeed both Paul & John often warned about this heretical manipulation of the Christian doctrine revealed to Paul by the Lord. The war between a sealed soul supported by the Holy Ghost (HG) and a corrupted body used by the Devil to harass the soul and grieve the HG continues all long the life of a born again Christian, which will continue to sin even if in a lesser way. This is the true meaning of the Paul self-blaming for being "chief among the sinners", despite being the Apostle to the Gentile. If then you couple that confession with another of his, namely that "thorn of the Devil" in his flesh. Here, from the AV 1611: 2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, *lest I should be exalted above measure.* Was that thorn a sickness? Scarcely. We exalt (in Christ) ourselves through physical infirmities when they are not provoked by our stupid behaviour. Therefore that thorn had to be be a powerful temptation. God allows you to fall in temptation when - after being saved - you start to believe that the control you must exercise against the temptation of the flesh (which is supported by the power of the HG which is in you, see 1 Corinthians 6:19-20) is the _same power_ of God to create a new, sinless body. You believe to have an incorruptible body, your belief is false and this is a sin. But when you were saved God _didn't_ regenerate your body, ONLY your soul. And how did He it? NOT protecting the soul from the sorrow of sin in this life (rather, increasing it!), but protecting the soul from the _consequences_ of sin. For this reason Paul was chief among the sinners and the Devil's thorn in his flesh reminded him to not be exalted in to think to be already a sinless god on earth. God allows you to sin to reveal you that you have still a CORRUPTED body and to warn you to not think of yourself _as to be above unsaved sinners._ This is why often saved Christians (and I put myself among them) sometime feels as "abandoned" by God to the punishing evilness of this world when at the same time clearly unsaved wicked blasphemers seems to enjoy the blessings from the Almighty Well, back to 1 John 1:9. In this context the forgiveness of Jesus is NOT related to the salvation of the soul, but to the _reward_ of the born again Christian once in heaven. We, saved Christians, will have our works checked, tried with fire, and we'll be rewarded with crowns to the extent of our service to the Lord Jesus Christ. We born again, Bible believers in the AV 1611 don't do works to be saved or to prove to have been saved, but free of these polluted finalities we know that our Lord accepts our works if and _only if_ they are done in the pure pleasure and love to serve Christ: Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, *created in Christ Jesus unto good works,* which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. After Jesus' resurrection we are saved by grace plus nothing. The discipleship was required when the Messiah was physically on earth and will be again required during the Millennial Kingdom. We don't do "good works" to make know we are saved, but we are saved to serve the Lord. Everyone who claims to have no sin is a liar: 1 John 1:8, 10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. This has been written against the gnostics who were infiltrating the early church with their doctrines based on the denial of the deity of Christ and salvation based on works ("discipleship")

Are you so arrogant to tell me that you love Jesus more than this and those and them?.... Evidently your selfish ego hath declared that you are sufficiently loving Jesus "to be saved" which is simply a *filthy rag:* Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, *and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;* and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. A perfect clinical case of self-righteousness. if you really loved Jesus you would really know him, and know that what He was telling was 1) referred only to the apostles or to the believers of the Apostolic age; 2) a prophecy for the Church age which begun after the Apostolic age. The real Jesus that you don't know, doesn't harass people with unknowable amount of works needed to have the assurance of salvation. But I think 1st John says something along the lines that those who do not obey God do not have the truth in them. And the book of Hebrews is all about the scary punishments that can happen to people who fall away or continue to deliberately sin. And doesn't Jesus Himself say that an axe is laid at the roots of every tree that does not bear fruit?

The fact is nothing can be free and still come with a hidden cost or obligation. They tell people on the front end that all is free and then they add a truck load of things you must do to be saved. So the preacher is right to expose this grand game that is designed to do nothing but add legalism to the free gift of salvation.

If I could do all these good things I may have become a Lordship salvation believer, but after 45 years of following Jesus, I still mess up. I have learned that I am wretched at my best. I am trusting that Jesus was good for me. If I am wrong, then I have not a prayer. But I understand that God loves me despite myself. And that is why He gave Jesus. If I am unable to live the "good life" and I am unable, I haven't a prayer unless when God looks at me, the blood of Christ covers me. So covered by Jesus's blood God sees Jesus instead of me. And so how righteous I am indeed! If I am wrong, then I haven't a hope or a prayer. But if I am right and am saved by Jesus being the worker and not me, then John MacArthur, Ray Comfort and even John Barnett may be the ones who cannot stand before the living God.

this individual who's preaching conveniently forgot to deal with the sections of scripture that teach that a Believer has become a new creature in Christ. The Bible says we have been born again John chapter 3 and the Epistle of First John are filled with this concept. in John chapter 3 it is said to be done by The Sovereign Holy Spirit and that it is necessary before entering the kingdom of God. In the first Epistle of John, John tells us that the born again person does not live in the same way then a unbeliever. It literally says that the born again person can't go on living in sin because he has been born of God. see John 3:7ff. This of course does not mean sinless perfection. No, but that the born again person will not practice sin like the unbeliever. In short if one is truly saved then they are born again and if born again then there should be a change in their life. This of course does not mean that born again believers can't fall into grievous sin, they can. And by so doing might lose assurance of salvation but not their actual salvation.

David Castro...John 3:1, A ruler of the Jews. John 3:2...he calls Jesus, Rabbi, a jewish term. John 3:3...Jesus speaks of the kingdom of God. The jews had been promised a kingdom, just read the Old Testament. Jesus himself said to the 12 to not go unto the gentile. Jesus himself said he came for the nation of Israel. He was the promised Messiah to the Nation of Israel. If the nation of Israel would have repented then they would have been granted their promised kingdom. All of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are teaching Kingdom theology which makes perfect sence considering that is why Jesus came. He was the promised Messiah. Not once in those four books do you see anything about salvation by grace, by the blood of Christ, by belief in the finished work of the cross. If you will carefully read in those books salvation is by believing in his name, believing he is the promised Messiah. You have to seperate Kingdom Gospel and Grace Gospel. When you speak of being a new creature, a new creation, that is taught by Paul who is the Apostle to the gentiles. Your mixing Kingdom and Grace. You have to read dispensationally when you study the Bible. It still comes down to faith but the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of Grace are different.

1 John.... context matters. It is important to understand that the context of John’s letter is to thwart a heresy that false teachers were trying to get true believers to accept. This heresy is called Gnosticism. This is the sin that John is referring too in his letter. Those believing this heresy. Gnosticism in incompatible with Biblical Christianity because Gnostics do not believe that a person can be born again through Christ. They deny that we are saved because Christ died in our place and took on the punishment for our sins but instead rely on extra Biblical ‘secret knowledge’they say has been imparted to them as if they are special somehow. This was a big heresy in the early church and is being shown as false.

David Castro has unknowingly pinpointed the basic difference between Lordship Salvation and the gospel of salvation. Lordship Salvation teaches a person to change themselves into something new in their flesh. The true gospel teaches that God changes the believer in their spirit, making them "the righteousness of God in Him". God doesn't change the natural mortal person, but the persons spirit as far as salvation is concerned. (1 Corinthians 15:42-52) Once a person has been saved through belief of the clear pure gospel, they then are enabled to live for Him *if they make the decision to present their bodies a living sacrifice* which is not a requirement for salvation.

Eric Risner just read your reply from 9 months ago on a sermon Why Lordship Salvation Is Wrong. Your reply is very confusing to me. I have a question for you. At the end of your reply you stated "You have to read dispensationally when you study the bible". Where do you find in the Bible that this is how you have to study. I do not understand. There are only to ways that the Lord dealt with folks, through the Old Testament and the New Testament. There is neither Jew or Greek according to the scriptures when it comes to salvation. If you would just give me the scriptures on dispensationalism I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Just a thought here; Bobby McGlathery, and David Castro. The main separation point on our current subject is when Christ died for the sins of the whole world. Before that time all were under the law and Christ had to fulfill the law, but after he died we are under His grace and His payment for sin. A new dispensation. No one could keep the whole law but He did, putting all our belief in His work and how He was our second Adam saves us.

Raymond Mitchell repentance does not get you to Heaven! Only faith in Christ does! Repentance happens after you’re saved, but you’re not saved by it. All the verses you mentioned meant that we are sanctified by the Holy Spirit after we’re saved! We’re growing in our relationship with God everyday! Here is my favorite set of verses in the whole Bible! These verses talk about how God gives us mercy and grace whenever we do sin. I’m not promoting sin! No! The Bible tells us not to abuse God’s grace! But whenever we do sin, we know grace is abound. Ephesians 2:4-9 “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” ‭‭ Lordship Salvation is just Catholicism without all the traditions. It teaches your saved by faith and works. The verses I just quoted said we are saved by grace and not by works! Amen! 🙏

@@savedbygracethroughfaith139 The problem is that some easy believerism Christians say that you never ever have to repent. You can keep on doing anything and still go to Heaven. For "small" sins, it sounds very nice, but imagine n pedophile or rapists "believe" and use that argument to keep on molesting children and raping women. Sin is sin and you not repenting of your lies or stealing something small like printer paper at work, is exactly the same as murderers and rapists and pedophiles not repenting of there sins after believing. According to the exstreme believerism argument, Hitler and Stalin could have been Christians. Shocking indeed! And I also reject work based salvation.

Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
