I love how Kirby can show that not everything is black and white and that in many cases it's more shades of grey, thanks for putting Hyness and the three mage sisters are characters that deserve a little more recognition from the public. overall this video is one of the best analyses of Kirby I've seen in a long time, excellent work Buddy :D

I could see a theoretical Taranza epilogue going one of two ways 1:its a story of Taranza finally accepting Sectonias death and instead of trying to resurrect her he opts to avenge her by beating up Dark Meta Knight since last I checked it was his fault the mirror corrupted her 2:its a story of one last all or nothing attempt to resurrect Sectonia with Taranza either summoning a Nova to try and bring her back or venturing into the mirror dimension to try and find anyway of resurrecting her with him likely having to fight Morpho Knight at the end also i wonder if Haltmans and Stardreams seeming obsession with prosperity was at one point just Haltman thinking if he had just more money or resources he could bring Susie back
@angrysunflower22217 күн бұрын
I've had this idea for months about a hypothetical "Taranza Epilogue" where he ventures into his psyche and fights a brain disease in the shape of Sectonia born from grief.
@Dergburger17 күн бұрын
Second idea is so good holy crap. Of course, that would also be incredibly sad. Like, my boi would have to watch her die a second time. That would be so mean. That's what you mean by making him have to fight Morpho knight right? Y'know, since the butterfly tends to introduce itself by killing someone important.
@spartan737517 күн бұрын
@@Dergburger yeah though what i could see happening is Taranza refusing to let Morpho Knight get away after he beats him trying to separate Sectonias soul from him or die trying like how Kirby seperating Effilin from Fecto Effilis except Taranza would probaly do it with webs or using shadow kirby as a tool to get it done

It's more likely that Taranza will travel into the Dimensional Mirror to save Sectonia himself. We know for a fact that a part of Sectonia is still in the mirror, confirmed by multiple art pieces, but mainly by the Star Allies Triple Deluxe art which literally shows her in there. This would also be a great way to integrate Amazing Mirror into a more modern title, instead of a full remake for the game. Plus, I'm gonna be honest, we really don't need any more tragedy right now. Planet Robobot Deluxe will inevitably happen, and Susie will most likely get a prologue about her getting trapped in Another Dimension. Haltmann as a character has enough tragedy going on to fill for both Sectonia and himself, so giving Taranaza a happy ending just feels more fitting.

Not a lot of people realize how well written the Kirby franchise is as a whole. Hell, I didn't even realize how well written the Kirby franchise as a whole. I knew it was dark, sure, but I didn't think it would ever be a masterpiece in storytelling. I was already a major fan of Kirby, but now realizing the deeper themes it has really makes me love it even more.

As Chad Kroger once said in his hit song "Hero": "Someone once told me, 'Love would all save us!' But how can that be? Look what Love gave us... A World full of killing, and blood-spilling, that World never came!" There are some that believe that Hearts that seek out others are what's needed to end conflict. But love ends in grief, grief begets misery, and misery begets malice. Love isn't merely the solution, it is also the root cause of the problem. The brightest light casts the darkest shadow. So there will always be conflict in this world.

Taranza, is one of my favorite characters in the Kirby saga (I could say that he is the best but I don't know if there is a better character), because Triple Deluxe was my first Kirby game, and I hope to have a port with new content about him for the Switch 2.

May I be honest the two most Kirby characters I feel like I have the most empathy for is Susan and taranza thay both lost their own way Susan lost her dad to a ai that can gant wishes but instead open a dimensional portal Susan was lost in that place for wow ever mine years or days Susan manage to get back to her dad but her dad didn't even remember having a daughter and only want the machine to work Susan was givin a job as the assistant to the hautman Enterprise. Taranza was the same but with the dark mirror instead.

Love in Kirby himself is the purest form of love. A love for his world, a love for his life. Love in Taranza is a begging for the love he never had. A lust to be more than a friend. Love in Haltmann is broken familial love. A love he lost to something he obsessed over. Love in the Three Mage-Sisters is unwavering cult-like loyalty. To a master who lost his heart. But in every time of darkness, light can be found. Taranza was eventually able to move on from his unquenchable thirst for his queen's love. Susie was strong enough to admit her mistakes and give a reason to her actions. The Three Mage-Sisters were shown the light, and we're eventually able to find happiness.

This was a great breakdown of the different representations of love in the series. Wish you had touched on the implications of Dark Taranza and Parallel Susie's roles in The Kirby Clash Series though. As it gives even more insight into how if they hadn't met Kirby how they would have turned out in a sense.
@EssayistNate15 күн бұрын
I was considering that at first, but I couldn't really get into the Clash series... That, and I'm not a huge fan of the mobile game-esque elements, like the stamina system and the microtransactions. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it, though!

Lore of Why Love In Kirby Is Darker Than You Think momentum 100
@TheLordofSiIence16 күн бұрын
Awesome video, but I also think it does have genuine potential in the future lore. Sounds unrelated, but considering the four matters of Kirby, Heart Matter is one of the two ones we have basically zero ideas about, other than Dream Matter. My personal idea is that every matter can both be good and bad, Void reinforcing this idea. So the idea that Heart Matter can both be pure, and can corrupt, is pretty grounded. So I think that the point you bring up is super relevant for a certain case. I don't think many would disagree if I said that Kirby is probably made of Pure Heart Matter. Star Allies basically indirectly confirms it with the heart friends. But I think this works narratively speaking, because in these examples, we have a being of Pure Heart Matter, facing off against those who're corrupted by, or because of, love. I just think it feels narratively satisfying. edit: Also, I love that despite the novels not being canon to the main story, you still use them as evidence for characters. That something so many people, in so many game fandoms, like to just outright ignore for no reason, especially in the Kirby fandom. Just because the events of the novels aren't canon, does not mean that what we learn from them isn't. For example, True Arenas in Kirby. People say that these aren't canon, which they aren't. However, the information we learn from them, are completely canon. Like Sectonia's soul, which is a non-canon fight, confirms that Taranaz eventually gave up trying to call out for her. Now just because that's only mentioned in the "non-canon" fight, does not mean that that info also is not canon. Same thing with Star Dream Soul OS. We learn from that fight in the description, that despite Star Dream purging Haltmann's soul, a single piece, 1%, still clings on. And it is quite literally because of that 1%, that we win the fight, since Haltmann manages to confuse Star Dream's programming enough with his wish to see his daughter, that Star Dream isn't able to erase all life in the universe. This applies to the "canon" fight with Star Dream as well, but just because it's not mentioned there and only mentioned elsewhere, does not mean it's not canon. Also, just thinking about how Haltmann's wish to see his daughter again was so pure, that it basically messed up a super computer about to erase all life in the universe, is so metal, and makes me love Haltmann even more.

I personally don't want a Taranza Prologue/Epilogue. We've seen enough of Taranza and Sectonia, I'd rather him let it go and HAL tell other plotlines with this character. Let him be something else than a depressed loner! Maybe take some cues from The Simpsons' Nelson episodes and have the spider find a new love interest like Nelson found some father figures in a few of them!

I want to like Susie. Really, I do. I just wish that she had learned her lesson and stopped trying to roboticize planets. It's like her father died for nothing.
@EssayistNate19 күн бұрын
That's actually a mistranslation! In the Japanse text from Star Allies, she doesn't specifically mention anything about continuing to mechanize planets. Link: www.google.com/amp/s/desultory-novice.tumblr.com/post/691438839665999872/hey-i-saw-your-post-on-susie-and-im-not-sure-if/amp

She did. The pause screen in Star Allies was a translation error. The rough translation of the original Japanese description reads: "I'll show you how to revive that person's company!" With her lustrous hair brushed back, the beautiful secretary Susie from "Planet Robobot" rises up to carry on her father's will! With the power of science, we will provide families with happy lives... With this philosophy, we will get rid of those troublesome people! (Presumably she's talking about the Jamba Cult, since this is from Guest Star.) Basically saying she's using the company and technology for good now and isn't mechanizing planets.
