Agreed. Sith making their crystals instead of taking those from Jedi weapons. Seems impersonal and I just can't imagine a Sith like Palpatine having done the same thing just to make his two lightsabers. What Jedi would have had a significant enough role in Palpatine's childhood as a Sith apprentice that would impact his story in any meaningful way as to use that Jedi's crystal in his Sith lightsaber? I can't imagine any. Palpatine is too important of a character and has way too much respect for himself to imagine he'd ever rely on anything a Jedi was ever associated with. Much prefer Sith carving out their own power with their own hands, not just dominating the crystal of a Jedi. Sith dominate Jedi (in most cases), not rocks and minerals.

@@13superjedi Sith are all about dominating and controlling the force, so making their own to me seems more Sith than taking Jedi crystals. Creating a crystal is the true meaning of dominance and control over the force to me. Something very Sith. Also explains Sidious hate at Vader for swapping out his synthetic crystal for a natural red one. Seeing Anakin still in Vader and his Jedi ways.

Neither side is particularly good at holding on to their lightsabers. Kenobi loses his in the shaft on Naboo. Maul's saber is cut in half. Anakin's is cut in half fighting Dooku. Palpatine's saber goes out the window as does Windu. Luke's saber goes in the Bespin shaft. etc.

The most amazing part of that is that Obi-Wan's hut was still there after 4 years. On Tatooine Jawas strip your speeder if you leave it outside too long, yet years later the hut isn't ransacked and/or has someone else living in it.

if i remember correctly younglings/padowans always had someone watch them when making their lightsaber so the deadly mistaes was not done, but the person overseeing them did not make a move when it came to the less dangerous mistakes that would not kill or badly hurt the person making it or others in the area. i think we see this in one of the episodes of the clone wars where asoka is in charge of a group of younglings that is woring on assembling their own lightsabers

Do a video on all force abilities from legends and cannon and the different variations of them such as force slow has another variation called force plague. When going over force lightning specifically can you go over the different colors and what they mean and do and can you go over the different uses for it such as lightning grenade, force storm, lightning shield. In Revenge of the Sith, after Anakin turns to the dark side, sidious tells him to go to the mustafar system and wipe out the separatists and trade federation which means it’s a different solar system in the same galaxy they just happen to set up shop on one of its planets or one of the planet’s moons…they never said mustafar was a specific planet or moon they just mustafar system

Luke did not synthetize crystal for his lightsaber ... No, deep inside his hut, old Ben had hidden one ... or two ... Palpatine immediately recognized it when he touched Luke's lightsaber. This is why he gave it back to Luke. That is why he urged Luke to strike him down. It was the old crystal he once gave to his apprentice. One that now returned to him, so the circle could complete. It was the crystal of Darth Maul.
