Many people watching the video did not understand that here Mcbaze had bad micro and got out-micro by a master player, but still crushed him with macro. micro is about spacing, dodging spells, and winning trades. macro is about chosing when to trade, when to recall, when to ward and where to position in lane. Here Mcbaze got in range of a viktor Q for no reason, canceled and auto, leveled his W while it was no use in his lvl 2 trade and got chunked hard. Yet he won of knowing when to recall while viktor trolled his recall and his tp, he played around map and viktor tp being down, trading aggressively for a purpose. And all these macro decisions led to him getting free kills without any need of skill at fighting. He won off ahead decision making against opponents with better fighting skills.
@raphaelnej83872 жыл бұрын
and this is « the secret to escaping low elo » because you will never out micro and irelia yasuo zed riven katarina akali leblanc. Yet you can easily crush them with good decision making, which you can learn much much faster that mechanics, or much much slower, depending on wether you try to improve or not. Some players have 3 million points on their champ and are still silver, micro and skill is not the easy way our of low elo.
@jaeheonlee17642 жыл бұрын
@@raphaelnej8387 idk why that was a bad tp he still gained like 4 minion advantage against oriana. which means he will lv 6 faster. also he gets out microed since he gets poked by like 3 q and w. wukong just had to stop chasing after he could not gap close ori and viktor should just clear wave and recall. Maybe saving tp would've been better since he recalled faster
@raphaelnej83872 жыл бұрын
you want to tp to turn a bad recall into a good recall. this recall was already good, so no need to tp here. A good recall is a recall where the wave is bouncing back toward you, but won’t die to your tower before you can catch wave. That is why it is often recommended to push and back before canon wave. Because if enemy shove this wave, it will take a little longer thanks to your canon and enemy canon will tank your tower for a long time allowing you to catch up.

True, but in this case Ori actually was kind of gankable. Ori prob still lives after burning all sums but if Lulu pathed into Ori's ward once Wu flashes on her from the other side then she doesn't get to bait this hard for Nunu without risking dying.

Any time someone talks about what is good to do with the wave, I feel like I could be being straight up lied to and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It feels so unintuitive. I can understand their justification on a surface level, especially when paired with video results, but I never "get it" on a fundamental level that lets me apply it in game.
@Sim0sama2 жыл бұрын
Basically try to trade always when you can trade back, if you waste your ability to trade than be sure to be away from getting more without being able to respond. Always be sure who will get level two first and respect your enemy if he gets it first. Crush and push the wave when you are “safe” (which means you just warded the jungle and you can ascape from a gank easily) And eventually freeze the wave and slowpush 🤷🏻♀️ What I see in normal draft or low Elo is people just keep pushing the wave and not being ganked once 😅
@ab32402 жыл бұрын
@@Sim0sama If it was this simple, there'd be no need for a video. This is legit just bad advice.
@ab32402 жыл бұрын
It's highly matchup dependent. If you don't understand the matchup you're in, it's very hard to apply spacing and wave management concepts consistently. This is a big part of the reason why people tell you to play 1-2 champs for best climbing results. You have way fewer matchups to learn and way fewer trade patterns/summoner spell combinations to master. It takes longer than 10 minutes to give you a comprehensive overview of how to understand matchups. Also, a lot of this stuff ends up being irrelevant if your baseline mechanics are straight up bad. An important point not mentioned in the video is that this guy didn't really even play that bad, he just played worse than Viktor. Macro can help you salvage a bad lane, but if you consistently end up with bad lanes then you're still going to end up losing a lot. You won't always be able to punish them with macro, especially if yours is also less than perfect too.

If you're playing at top lane, it's not at all to be honest. Just perma push it until you have 35 deaths and explode their nexus. Main Sion or something, lose lane, get CS, fuck turrets. That's my take on how to win. Also, if you think like you'll be dying at all times and not getting any turrets since you'll be poor = less items = weaker = easy target, that's understandable but you forget about the 1 main feature in the game: CS and playing golds. One time I Got ganked 5 times and roamed 2 times in just a few minutes, still managed to out level and out gold my enemy by basically demolishing the turret while my enemy killing me. Yes, it's not that easy to do with stuff that is not Sion, but you wanted META picks? Here you go! Go play sion or something with a good jungle main duo and take the enemy nexus while your duo is taking the dragon. If you're still not convinced and say this is useles af, here is the perfect guide: Step 1: Pick Sion, ban Darius or Mordekaiser, get your runes done with Flash/TP or Exhaust/TP(since you'll not need flash that much). Step 2: Level up W and get the 500 gold potion thing. If the enemy jungler starts bot jungle, go get their buff(especially if it's red buff) and die asap after taking it. Teleport to the lane. Step 3: If you didn't do that, use your W to grab 3 melee minions and damage enemy if possible. Then walk up to get the caster minions. Based on your rank and your opponent's mental state + character, they will be hitting you. If they're hitting you, first drink your potion, and then hit them with your auto. Grab the minions and level up Q. You're gonna basically repeat this pattern a LOT. If both of you are around 30% HP, you have your E and teleport, walk up to them after drinking your potion and use W. E(And exhaust if you got it)+Q them and it should be a CC. Walk up to them and damage them with W explosion and autos, and use your passive to kill them. If failed, TP back to lane and grab the entire wave that built up. Crash your own wave and get a plating with demolish. Repeat this until first item. If you did kill them, just crash the wave and get most platings as you can. When the enemy comes, just run away and try to base. Step 4: In mid game, you just have to CS and get towers. Especially when there's a dragon fight or something, demolish every single tower of theirs' with hullbreaker. It's pretty much it. Step 4: In late game, you're around 6k HP probably and are around full build. You can 1v1 ADCs, assasins, mages, supports, some bruisers, and stuff like that. You'll be able to take 1v2 or 1v3s aswell most of the time. If you still can't do it, try the BauSpecial technique. And try ulting the normal turrets aswell. Don't care about dying if you can get a turret. Rune: From Resolve: Grasp Of The Undying, Demolish, Bone Plating, Overgrowth. From Inspiration: Minion Dematerializer, Approach Velocity. Adaptive, Armor/MR, Armor/MR/HP(HP for more W shield and stuff so more fun) How to have fun and the best feeling while playing like this: Take flash, 500 Gold potion, use W, flash into the enemy wave killing first 3 melee minions and damaing last 3 caster minions while hitting the enemy and seeing the potion burn.

@alessiospagnesi86972 жыл бұрын
Tp'ing was bad
@avery13492 жыл бұрын
The mistake is the tp since Orianna succesfully fullcleared the wave and reset the lanestate, and was able to get a recall off. His two options best options were diving with pressure (aggressive play), or cheater recalling without using tp (passive play). The bad thing about the passive play in this scenario is that Orianna getting to match the recall (since she can reset the wave before they collide) is that Orianna will only lose a few cs for a slightly later recall. The actual optimal play for viktor on the cheater recall might have been to push the 3rd wave slower, crashing it as the 4th wave was closer to tower, however this is riskier due to jg timings. If he had successfully caught the wave under tower, Orianna is forced into the bad recall, since Viktor can abuse with tp and force a freeze.
@avery13492 жыл бұрын

In Plat elo all this might be true but in silver all that really matters are mechanics and it's easy to see why. A plat+ player in Silver will just destroy everyone by outplaying them and easily snowball. At the same time the farming skills of regular silver players is so weak that it geniuenly doesn't matter if you get a wave more or less. It all gets coinfliped the next second anyways when the team does some random macro calls that are unpredictable to see because they make no sense and death timers dictate much more how much cs and xp one gets. So it's really just all about being able to mechanically outplay ur opponents while as a player with silver mechanics good macro can't win you much as you can't get anything from it
