@@LucyWest370Not even, although the Queen and the current House of Windsor may be important diplomatic and ceremonial figureheads, they do siphon funds from the public an estimated 86 million pounds to live a lavish lifestyle right from Parliament, as a result of King George III agreeing that he couldn’t govern in person anymore and was not entitled to the Crown Estate, therefore forming the system on which the Royal Family gets their money, the Sovereign Fund. They are also entirely tax-exempt and obviously do not need passport when they are ruling monarchs. Trust me, it adds up over the centuries and it’s time the people need to accept that any remnants of the British Royal Crown need to be phased out, without a constitutional monarchy especially after recent events.

Benedict Anderson's book Imagined Communities has an afterword in which he talks about the various translated versions of his book, and spends a lot of time talking about the Thai version, where the ban of saying anything bad about any King of Thailand, PAST OR PRESENT, meant that the Thai translator basically rewrote all of the bits when he was talking about Thailand.
