Lol, I remember watching this live! Since I dont speak Korean, that just made this whole thing seem like even more a mess😂 This was on the radio show Idol Radio back in 2019 when Hip was released. Usually there's a radio DJ that would ask them questions and such, but the show producers heard about how the girls are more comfortable and open when they're by themselves, so they made Solar and Byul the DJs. This was a Live Viewable radio show, meaning it was being aired on a radio station in SK, being streamed live on the VLive app, and there was a live audience (moomoos) in a viewing room that was only separate from the studio by some windows. That's why you can hear the fans screaming whenever the girls do something crazy😅

Really fun reaction! I think you'd enjoy just watching the whole broadcast with subs sometime so you get the full context for the craziness they embarked on. Destiny was a song off the same album as HIP (reality in black) and is a great epic vocal banger. Their live at the 2019 Heartbeat Awards with Hip was great. If you want more Wheein, there's When everyone can't say no to Wheein which just came out and that's a fun four minutes of wheepup.

i see others have explained a bit about the show (...since i'm only a week late...). but yeah, this was aired live. it's far from mamamoo's first time on idol radio, but usually there's a dj (that's always another idol). this time around, they decided to let half of mamamoo be the djs and the other half be the guests... and, chaos ensued. because mamamoo the show usually runs an hour long but their episode went 30 minutes over and the staff didn't want to stop it because they were enjoying things so much. (that's one thing about mamamoo on any show... no matter how jaded you think the staff is going to be from dealing with idols, entertainers and comedians so much, they always burst into laughter around these women who are just so unabashedly their ridiculous selves no matter what) as for hwasa being the most normal... that depends. she can be just as crazy as the other three, but there's always one member that takes the role of 'the normal one' or the chaperone/host while the others get ridiculous. and that one member constantly changes, sometimes in the middle of the show or fansign they're doing. it seems like they just do it naturally and automatically, without even thinking about it. hwasa is often more reserved, though, since her favorite things tend to just be eating and relaxing/napping (a big reason she doesn't get as much airtime in many of their mamamoo tv episodes but rest assured, as soon as she gets hyper, the camerawoman glues herself to hwasa to make the most of it) and with the mc dduk and mc ddak bits... all four are actually pretty good rappers, with solar and wheein just getting into rap battles for fun at various times (one iconic one is in mamamoo tv season one, episode six, 'how to play in the car'. which is also where wheein earned the nickname 'vita' that she mentions here with the 'so refreshing' bit. so a long callback, years in the making). in fact, solar had apparently helped teach byul how to rap, as byul has thanked both solar and hwasa for helping her learn... crazy to think byul didn't know a thing about rap when she first became a trainee, since she trained as a vocalist, and yet is now one of the top rappers in kpop the 'chwisa line' thing... that's one of the nicknames for moonbyul and wheein together. because apparently moonbyul's head shape reminds people of a grain of rice and wheein's character from their mv "um oh ah yeah" is named kuku, which happens to also be the name of a rice cooker brand. so, grain of rice + rice cooker = cooking line solar and hwasa's nickname is easier to explain, it's a combo of leader + maknae, so 'lemak' and yeah, the part where they were all crying was when they were trying to explain how much they meant to each other. none of the girls is good at expressing that and they all feel bad for taking the presence of the other three for granted, so any time they try to talk about it, everyone bursts into tears the dduk/ddak bit at the end is solar's personal brand of leadership, where she has zero qualms about making a fool of herself if that's what it takes to brighten up the mood of the other three double also, the whole show is on vlive, with subtitles, if you want to check it out here: www.vlive.tv/video/160811/playlist/161897

@@RAZ_Reacts hey, i was late in watching/commenting, myself. no big and yeah, 'chwisa' is apparently short for the korean term that translates into 'cooking line'. apparently i skipped that part like a goof also, yes, moonbyul auditioned as a vocalist and got her spot as a trainee as such. but lost her vocal confidence because she wasn't as good as the other three and kept trying to compare herself to them. i mean, she's an excellent vocalist and has a beautiful, unique voice, but she did keep trying to compare herself to three exceptional, top-tier vocalists (though they tried to keep her from comparing with them and just wanted her to sing alongside them). the fact that the agency originally told byul 'you have to learn to rap or you won't debut' didn't help her confidence in her vocals, either. but we did eventually get an amazing rapper out of that bit of shittiness..

@@kalaksed Haha okay, & ohhh okay LOL dw I could kinda infer it so 😅 Yeah I totally understand why her confidence seemed to take a hit when her 3 group mates are all such incredible vocalists, & yeah that’s literally so shitty from the agency, other comments have said some horrible things about the agency too they deserve so much better 🤦🏾‍♂️, but yeah LOL she proved all the haters wrong look at her now she’s a rapping 👑😍
