As a HSP male there are two phrases that basically summarize my approach to life and interactions. "Know thyself"and "live authentically" talking about occupations and feeling alone your story is similar to my story. I joined the Airforce at 21. Deployed to afghanistan witnessed and experienced things there that shook me to my core. When i came back. No one (not even fellow airman) understood mr or even bothered to ask me about my experience. I was making money but decided this was not it. I got out of the military pursued my MOS in the civilian sector and went to college....got my degree in history with an econ minor. Wasnt happy in my work. Pandemic hit. I was laid off from a 5 year job. Decided to become a middle school social studies teacher. Recently found where im moat happy. Being a male teacher in a core subject has its own challenges (lots of stereotypes) but i find myself in a position to make a HUGE impact. If i had lived authentically from the jump i would have gotten here sooner. Dont be afraid to embrace who you are. The world will tell you its stupid, its dumb its impossible, your weird and who you are in unacceptable. That all BS be who you ARE everything else will fall into place. *namaste*

Brah!!!! Your story sounds like mine. Just joined the navy after 911. Ended up off the coast of Iraq. But man. Wanted to be a teacher. Never got the chance. Got a girl knocked up and decided I had no time for college. Like an idiot. Hate my job still. But I'm the manager so it's OK. Would rather love being a teacher. And man. Know thyself. Wow. Glad to know I ain't alone. Peave and love.

Thank you for living your truth and for advocating for sensitive men. Being a highly sensitive woman is one thing but I can't imagine what it's like for you all being that society frowns upon sensitivity, especially in men. Bless you!

Thank you for being you Vonetta, and for your kind reflection. This is such a beautifully amazing time to be alive and thrive in the world, as the opportunities are limitless (which includes said opportunities for the highly sensitive men who are willing and ready to step deeper into their life's calling) 🙏🏿💜

Its been a tough road. But you roll with the punches learn and always come back more in tune. When a friend, co worker or loved one goes through difficult things you are able to show up more than most other men. It makes a hige impact. Im proud of who i am. Screw everyone that targets and ridicules good people like me

I feel this, as an ENFJ I have a thick skin, but I still feel intensively. In some situations I was like why am I tearing up or crying, I'm a man, I shouldn't cry here

I’m Enfp and mostly get along with infps. You’re not alone but in terms of the mbti, being a xnfx type is very rare because most of the world is sensing + thinking or a combination of sensing and feelin

Hi Brandon! I guess I just want to say I'm really happy I came across this and that you opened up to talk about this. I am a fellow alien and connecting with people has always been a difficult challenge as far as someone who could actually understand me and not just me them. But I could tell immediately as you began to speak that we're of the same tribe. Bless you man and I hope your channel grows!

I always felt like I was outside in the cold lookng into a warm restaurant seeing happy people enjoying their meals. It's tougher for a male when you are an HSP. Males are not supposed to show certain emotions or our tender side. Because of that we can't really tell others how we feel which makes us lonely. I am an HSP but not sure whether he cause is nature or nurture. I don't necessarily blame my parents for my being certain way but I do believe that they don't and never understood me.

Thank you for sharing A I. Know that your sensitivity is an absolute gift and when fully embraced (outside of whatever societal stereotypes that may be present), you will create an impact within others, just from you 'being' around them. You got this, keep stepping into your greatness and allowing your full light to shine forth 🙏🏿

it's very normal to be highly sensitive as a man that's one of the biggest problems, people beat themselves up for being highly sensitive because it's not considered normal, whereas we literally evolved these tendencies to increase reproductive success as men, for example male Gorillas are one of our closest relatives and have some of the highest levels of jealous known in the animal kingdom, yet people often say to be an 'alpha' male means to not be jealous and sensitive... but in the rest of the animal kingdom it is quite literally the opposite, but you often find these things, it's similar to this idea that the men provide for the women, when in reality the only things we provide is protection from attack and sperm... not even food... we are hunter gatherers, the women gather the food while the men hone their combat skills while hunting, 9/10 hunts fail and the vast majority of calories comes from the food women have gathered, like nuts underground and seeds and plants, it was far more useful for men to become closer to eachother rather their mates and learn to work together as a team to hunt so that they could fight off other tribes and such, it's the reason 99% of murders and violent crimes are commited by men, in some sense it does annoy me because some of this new age feminism, although unintentionally, has really made it hard for men, alot of lies have been spread about mens anger aggression sensitivty jealously, what they call toxic masculinity, all these emotions have been shunned without understanding that that has been men since the dawn of time, it's in our DNA, we cannot change that, and suppressing emotions is not the right way, it's why alot of dude spend the majority of their life in the gym

I feel like we are similar. A big part of feeling like an alien can be the result of unconscious unhelaed childhood trauma (you seem to have a first awareness but i feel like you would profit greatly from therapies such as brainspotting and somatic experiencing)
