As a 17 year old girl in highschool, I learn so much fatherly advice from these videos. My mother is liberal and against all my religious ideologies of pro family and pro marriage. She is Catholic yet just because she grew up in a horrible household she reflects that trauma onto me and my future marriage. She assumes my husband will leave me, that I will suffer if I have too much children, and I can just tell she hates when I bring up my conservative ideologies . I want a big family and a good husband, because I never had a family (I’m the only child and have no father figure and my family from my moms side is non existent) It still leaves scars in me. It just sucks that my mom claims to be religious yet ignores everything that constructs the church because she had horrible experiences with men. Feminism and promiscuity ruined my mom and left her without a man and fending on her own. I suffered so much trauma as a kid because I had to grow up in the babysitter with my mom working 9 hour shifts. I hate feminism, I hate what it did to my mom and how it ruined me. All I could ever dream of is a father, a GOOD father. But now some fathers SA their OWN girls. It’s hell . Thank goodness I’m not God because I would’ve destroyed everything and everyone with my anger. Please pray for me whoever is reading this , so I can be a good wife and a good woman in the near future.

@alfamejeu237 This touched me so much, i had an amazing father but God took him back when I was 20 and I went through 10 years of trying to deal with his death where I went really hard into feminism. Luckily my father taught me many things about what a good man is, both by example and teaching. So when I met a good man at 27 in the midst of all the debautchery of los angeles I managed to stick with him and now I'm 40, we have 3 wonderful kids and live a very conservative life. Praise God. My dad taught me 3 main things.... 1. Ethics are the most important thing to look for in a man, will he stick to his base ethics when put under pressure. or me I saw this when my husband refused to go to his best friends Brit Milah ( when Jews circumsize 8 day old babies) His friend disowned him and a large group of his friends shunned him. but from his own experience he believed it was genital mutilation and refused to support it. 2. How does he treat "the help" waiters, plumbers, janitors, people who work hard for a living. Is he polite and kind or dismissive. On our first date my husband asked the waiter his name and referred to him by it the whole night, then over tipped because he liked the guy. He continues to do this every time to this day 13 years later. 3. How does he treat his mother? My father always told me, how he treats his mother is how he will treat you. Now some people have horrible mothers, and I never took this as a "he should treat her well even if she's a witch" but more of a, given the situation, is he acting christ like, trying to forgive, trying to help, having good boundaries, always at least acting with a loving intention or understanding intention. My husband's mother is a very complex but wonderful lady, my husband has had tough conversations with her, and has spent the last 13 years repairing their relationship which was tarnished by feminism, I always always admired that he was fighting for her happiness and their relationship even when she wasn't. ....lastly that man adopted his friends 17 year old snaggle tooth, incontenenet chihuahua that was half dead and deaf, because his friend wasn't taking care of her. I thought it was the most ugly, annoying dog in the world... But if you heard him talk about her, she was the same adorable spunky tea cup chihuahua he knew in college and could do nothing wrong... i knew then, this guy sticks to his women and loves their soul. I hope that was helpful to hear my experience. Good luck. Find a good man, eat red meat and veggies, work out, have lots of kids, and never go on social media again.

I've worked for a limousine company here in Western Maryland for four years now and working wedding are the absolute worse. I joked that we need to keep a spread sheet and look the couples up in the court system in six months to a year to see if they're still married. The majority of the wedding are no longer held in churches and its basically rent a person to officiate or even worse, they will issue someone a license to perform a wedding, so you can have whoever you want do it. Don't even get me started on the amount of drinking. Wedding parties are smashed before the wedding and it's even worse when you pick them up. When a wedding is at a church, so many look like they have no idea how to act in a church. One wedding at a Catholic Church, two women who were attending should have been given blankets to cover up with, since their outfits should not have been allowed in even the most liberal of churches. Enough of my ranting over what I've seen. Great video Father and I hope you and your family have a great New Year.

I can't imagine not being married. My parents have a wonderful marriage. They had so much fun (still do) when I was a child. Made me want to get married ever since I was about 3. If I could have married sooner than 24, I would have. Hubs didn't come into my life until I was 23. We did move fast toward marriage, so that is a plus despite getting married later than I desired.

Even Orthodox Churches aren't immune, unfortunately. In my church, the priest is constantly denying couples their request to play the "Bridal Chorus" by Richard Wagner during the wedding. This request almost always comes from heterodox brides. Little do they know that Richard Wagner did not even believe in God and promoted German mythology. They don't see the marriage act as a holy sacrament, unfortunately, but rather as some obligation that needs to be done before the big party afterwards.

@@Thor-o1v Odin's name may have influence but does the Nordic pagan faith have any influence at all, I am not talking about Hitler or any other explicitly nazi philosophy. But in actual modern day. Because Christ and his legacy is more relevant than any pagan gods in Europe. Look at the slavs. Go to Russia or Ukraine, or any slavic country, no one can name a single slavic pagan god yet they know the name Иисус Христос Jesus Christ. They certainly didn't know who Odin was until modern culture came about, still none of them care about Odin. They care about Christ.

Finding someone who is equally yoked is really difficult. I live in England and finding someone willing to sacrifice the world for building her family instead is hard. I've been single for nearly 9 years. Secular life it was already hard finding someone who had good values, and when I went to God, it's even harder. The women in my age range don't go to Church, they don't seek men who seek The Lord. Women between 18 to 30 don't come to Bible believing Churches like mine. That's my experience. Maybe, our preachers and elders should look themselves in the mirror. If you want God's kingdom to continue then maybe the Churches shouldn't have abandoned the family for the world.

Unfortunately, for the reasons stated in the video relating to the desire to compromise and assimilate to secular/passionate culture, this will never happen in protestant churches. They simply don't have the foundational grounding to stick to, it's too dependent on the "preacher" or "elder" as opposed to the Canons of the Church upheld by the ordained priesthood. There are lots of Orthodox churches in England though, it's growing like mad.

Good points here. Since you mentioned age, I just want to point out that part of the anti-family lies poisoning our culture is that a woman's fertility drastically drops at 35. Many Orthodox men want women not a day over 30, claiming it's because of fertility. Meanwhile look at OBGYN offices in any big city and a huge chunk of pregnant women are 40 or older, no IVF needed. The Evil One wants to you narrow down to the fewest possible options so you end up alone.

From my experience young men want to be married and have children when they are 18-24 whereas most young women absolutely don't have any desire entertain the possibility of having a family until after they are 25, and many of them look for older men with more $. This has made it so after men get into their late 20s they are distrustful of women after being used, and the women their age are not willing to submit to the traditional role of wife and won't allow the man to lead, also many women of that age have unrealistic expectations as it relates to finances. This leads a lot of men past 25 to decide to remain single until they amass enough wealth to attract a younger woman commonly a foreigner from a country with a culture of traditional marriage. This is the most likely formula I see for my own future. American women have been destroyed but feminism and our culture has been potentially mortally wounded by the forced push of women into competition with men in the workforce. Our culture teaches young women to have unrealistic expectations, delay having children, to have multiple casual relationships, and to work instead of dedicating their time and focus to their children... My point is it's not men driving the downward trend starting marriages and families

The more overregulated a market is, the fewer the chances of new businesses opening up. Too much govt regulations means there will be fewer new businesses, and the more small businesses will go bust. Marriage follows a similar principle. The marriage market is overregulated (often in all the wrong ways). So now there are fewer marriages. Within the last 100-120 years, everytime the govt has created new legislation regarding marriages, the Marriage rate went down and divorce rates went up. People behave based on incentive structures, marriage is no exception. The disordersd legal system, and disordered social incentives, are now the biggest hindrances to higher marriage rates.

Secular institutions are not the source of weakened marriage, as this video explained if you watched it. The source is the Church, and the weak stances of Christians in recent times. Deeply held social convictions (faith in God and commitment to uphold Christ's commandments) are the basis of culture, not legislation. Culture and governance are both downstream of faith.

My mistake was being born into a dispensationalist church. None of the women in my church wanted to have kids because "The great tribulation was upon us". The pastors never told the girls not to have kids, quite the opposite, but they basically guaranteed that none of us would see our old age or the grave, and so what else would the young people infer? So yes, there were women that considered me for marriage, but only if that marriage did not include children. Sadly it took until I was 33 to join the Orthodox church, and shortly after I joined a flood of single men joined as well (glory be to God!) so now there just aren't enough women to go around (1 single woman to 5 single men in the local parishes). The ratio is so bad, and has been bad for so many years, that the priest has blessed some of the men to go to eastern Europe this summer to find wives with the help of the cradle parishioners, so maybe when I have the money to spare for that trip I may try that.

Can anybody be saint who is divorced and remarried? I have only one answer: The first commandmend: the love of God, is the law, the prophets, and the source of life. No rules are above. Marriage is an act only in this world, so it can be sacrificed for God, but only for His command. Keeping and loosing it, both acts, can be a sacrifice. He is above all worldly rules. I’m curious about the church’s views when it comes to marriage for the sake of marriage. If you don’t have a parter who shares your values and long term goals should you still get married? Two people can be attracted to one another and get along but that only goes so far. Also, should people stay married when it comes to abusive situations, and their children have to witness them fighting (hence not providing a good example of what a marriage should be). I’m blessed to be married to a wonderful man but I can understand why some people have no interest.

Any Christian preacher that tells me to get a government marriage license to be married does not believe in the Holy Word of God. Marriage is a Holy Union; a government marriage license is a property contract designed to remove wealth from men, extort and enslave men.

Frankly, the fault lies with the women. From anecdotal experience, I was with a woman for 6 years, and when I proposed it scared her away. They want to have their cake and eat it too. There are horrible men out there, but they choose to have fun with those men, or even give them children, and then expect the good men to save them when they’re ready to settle down. The atheist male friends I have are more concerned with being good and growing and fostering the soul than the Christian women I know.

The secret to great marriages are godly women. If men choose women who go to clubs, drink alcohol, wear yoga pants, don't want to be homemakers, don't want to have children. don't want to cook or clean their homes, .etc., etc., forget about having a good marriage that does not end up in divorce. I go to the Russian Orthodox Chirch and yeas in the Russian Orthodox Church that is legal ground for divorce in the church. We don’t force people to stay together after infidelity. The marriage is over In the Russian Orthodox Church if two spouses marry in church and have a sacramental wedding, and then the husband cheats on the wife, the wife can go to the church. The marriage is null and void and divorced. She can marry a second husband in church with a sacramental wedding cause it was not her fault. The spouse who was unfaithful can’t marry no more in church though

The Church allows divorce in the way that it “allows” any sin. Divorce happens, just like sin does. Once it has happened, if it is determined that it will benefit their salvation the parties are allowed to remarry, but the second marriage is always a somber event. It’s not a sacrament like the first one is.

@@AmericanaGardens not baring children is not ground for divorce. In which Orthodox Church do you think or say it is? In Russian Orthodox Church its not! The priest explained only in Judaism the accent is on having kids. In our church marriage is to help the spouse becoming holy and the spouse helping us becoming holy, and to go to heaven after death.
