Matt Corral resembles a combination of Justin Herbert (Delivery) & Alex Smith (Mobility). I believe Corral’s passing trajectory/velocity/accuracy and overall athleticism will immediately translate to the next level. As the video stated - his play style is exactly where the NFL game is headed. Possible steal of the draft and definitely worth a 3rd round gamble by the Panthers. Hope this youngster’s mind stays right and he embraces the fleeting opportunity to be a starting QB for an NFL franchise.

I'm a huge football fan and a student of the game. I enjoy the draft process and love evaluating talent that transition from one level to another. Everything you said about this man I have told to a few friends of mine as well. He is more NFL ready than any other qb in his draft class. I also like his throwing mechanics. Chris Simms believes Matt Corral is the only franchise QB in the draft with the potential to become a super star in the league. That's kind of a big deal because Chris Simms out of all the talking heads has been the most accurate when it comes to QB evaluation. Having that said, no one is 100% accurate especially when it comes to QB evaluation but I have high hopes for this kid, I think he can be special.

I agree he's the best bet to emerge as the top option in a weak QB class... but I think you're underselling how important it is to read defenses and express sound decision making. In recent memory, Dak Prescott is a guy that had flawed mechanics but did very well for himself because of his disciplined decision making and ability to read defenses. Deshaun Watson also struggled early on in his career with poor mechanics. Both the ability to throw and operate the mental aspects of the game are necessary to be a franchise QB.. and it's debateable which of these flaws are harder to fix. I'm still waiting for Sam Darnold and Drew Lock. Still, another great video with a compelling narrative!

I still can't believe Sam Howell fell to the 5th round. Dude has a rocket arm, he's very accurate, has good athleticism and is as tough as they come. He lost a lot of his weapons to the NFL, so he tried to put the team on his back by running for over 800 yards. If Carter, Williams, Dyami Brown and Dazz Newsome stayed 1 more year with Howelll he would have been in the Heisman discussion.

Right now, the nfl is running Rpos. He shown he can play every facet of the game at his position at ole miss if you go watch. 3-step, 5 step, shotgun, I-form, pistol, play action, short, medium and deep, rpo, take off and did everything with accuracy, power (even running), quickness in feet and arm, and with leadership. I don’t think that’s in play this season with Sam Darnold at QB. I don’t expect Matt to be in the lineup full time till next year… he might see some action near the end of the season. But they have the talent outside of qb to make that happen in a weak NFC. I would say next year is the year you could see a jump

(It's not like they could be any worse lol) Having that said... Their schedule is a tough one. It is really a tough call, Darnold's performance and McCafferys health might be the difference between a winning season and a losing season.

As a Panther fan, the "takes too many hits" thing rings all too true when I think back to Cam Newton. Cam is a WAY bigger guy than Matt Corral, and even HE was eventually worn down by all the hits he took from NFL players over the course of his career. His shoulder has never been the same since that night game at Pittsburgh when it was injured for the first time. Matt Corral has already struggled with injuries at Ole Miss, and the guys who will be hitting him in the NFL are even bigger and stronger than anyone he's ever faced. We already know Christian McCaffrey is made of tissue paper, hopefully Matt Corral isn't a similar story...
