WHY MEDJUGORJE

"Why Medjugorje ?" is an insightful short film by Josip Loncar promotions officer with the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS). It documents his own personal experience when he visited Medugorje for the first time in 1987. This short film very much captures the Spirit of Medugorje from a pilgrim's perspective. I'm overwhelmed by the great true story that's happening in Medjugorje from June 24, 1981 until right now !!!! ......which is so hard to believe but then I strongly believe that our LORD GOD works in mysterious ways in our lives because of HIS WONDERFUL ONE AND ONLY REASON --- GOD LOVES US SO MUCH !!! ....I wish I can go to Medjugorje as soon as I heard about it , which was just this year 2014 !!!

I was drawn to this video by its title, "Why Medjugorje?" I was looking for some rational explanation of why, at this place and in this time, these occurrences are taking place, i.e what is it all about? Your video answered that question, but not in a way that I had expected. I guess, I was expecting an objective response that would sum it all up, a clear cut simplified explanation of what God's purpose through Mary was. Foolish me. Instead I got a subjective response that is as varied as the people who seek out this place of grace. Thank you.

John McCarthy John, your question is a good one. Why would God send the Blessed Mother to this place at this time? Can you imagine if those closest to you were in grave trouble? Is there anything you would not do to help and guide them to safety? Remember at Cana, before his first miracle, Jesus' mother pointed to her son and gently said "Do whatever He tells you." Jesus spoke and gave us examples of humility, reconciliation, forgiveness, prayer and love. He instituted the Eucharist so that we may share in his presence. In 2,000+ years, have we listened? We are not only killing ourselves and each other, but we are also destroying this beautiful planet on which we live. I am not one to be apocalyptic, but how much longer can we go on this way? The apparitions in Medjugorje are the longest in history. We have been given a special grace. This is our Cana. This is our heavenly Mother who is so patient, so loving and who wants the best for us. The question is, will we listen?

About purgatory Jesus told and tells many times through the ages (even!). You need be deaf in order not to hear and find that this is true, because God lets souls from purgatory to come and tell about it to us.

You say the truth, but why we don`t want to prepare the way to Christ? Why are we prepared to commit a sin, but not live in Love which come from God? Mary wants that we live in Love of God, but not live in the prison made by devil (sinful life and after death - in hell). The fruits shows that everything what happens in Medjugorje comes from God and with His knowledge. If you don`t see that in messages Marry reveals everything what is in the Bible I can`t do anything. Just don`t comply with the letter so much as Pharisees did (and maybe some of them does). An Marry doesn`t steal Glory from God. She shows that in many ways and each time when she comes to all people (like in Medjugorje) or to a single person and talks to them.

As a practising Roman Catholic who at the age of 13 first went there in 88 then 89 & 90 I can tell you it is a hoax. On Our first visit my mother claimed Our Lady had spoken to her during an apparition. Her prophecies never came true. My parents, sister and brother went again several years later but I stayed home as being so much older I was now sceptical of these alleged apparitions as none of the prophecies about me or others in our family had come true. The difference in my family beliefs and mine contributed to our family splitting and the confusion in my older brothers mind as to whether the apparitions were real or not led him into depression and tragically he committed suicide due to 'Spiritual reasons'. Our blessed mother would never appear to anyone knowing that the consequences of someone doubting would lead to such a tragic conclusion. There are so many errors coming from the visionaries claimed messages, the church will never ratify Medjugorge. We have Lourdes and Fatima.

A good Muslim or atheist is much nearer from God than bad christian. You can be a Christian, but live like not Christian and good Muslim truly lives like a good Christian.
