When i was little My mother had told me tht she had her little finger missing but the movies that i had watched i used to always tell her tht she did not loose the finger...then later on when i researched about it i was correct it was just disfigured... But all this does not matter...she was a great actress and the graceful way in which she hid her finger from the camera is commendable shows how great an actress she was...❤

The great actress Meena Kumari died shortly after Pakeezah release.. India would produce many actors/actresses but there would never be another Meena Kumari. Below is reply to my KZbin Post by an honorable man, Sylvestor John Fernandez, from "INDUSTRY BOLLYWOOD" who is Local-- "The late Actress Meena Kumari when she was admitted to the St Elizabeth hospital @ Teen Bhati Nepeansea road one of the sisters ( Nun) who was a relative of a friend of mine inform that no Director or Any Actor ever visited her when she was lying on the Hospital bed..she was diagnosed with acute Kidney problems due to excess alcohol drinking..it was swollen...she had problems so severe that she couldn't get out of her bed without the sisters help...sometimes there was no money to pay for her medicine..all Actors like Dharamendra used her .even Director Kamal Amarohi during the making of the Film Pakeeza didn't pay her at all..the movie was sheld for years ..till late when she lost weight she looked younger..the shoot started once again as only 30 % was to be shot..they completed the movie ..at first when it was realised there was not much rush of filmgoers to watch it ..the Theatres were thinking of scrapping the show with 3 weeks due to huge losses at the theatre but the sudden untimely death of Meena Kumari in that period the curious Film public rush to watch it. There the show started picking up immediately..& it turned out to become a huge blockbuster. Meena Kumari was buried at the Juhu Kabaristhan the next day..these actor most of them are so selfish that money is God for them..they will demand a huge amount of their movie becomes a huge hit..they won't help anyone..all bloody Hippocrates..I used to work at Shree Sounds studios behind Chitra Cinema..Dadar east."
