Why Melting Glaciers Are So Scary

Did you know that many people depend on runoff from glaciers for fresh water? But because of climate change, glaciers all around the world are melting. By 2100, half of the world’s glaciers are expected to vanish, and the effects will ripple across the globe. Here's why that's so scary.

Big tech is too focused on leaving the planet and space travel to care.

glaciers have been melting for 10,000 years except for a brief break of a few hundred years during the little ice age which ended around 1850 and since which time glaciers have continued melting as the planet recovered from the coldest period in 10,000years . for instance the once massive glacier in glacier bay Alaska lost about 1/2 its size between when Vancouver first mapped it in 1790 and 80 years later when John muir visited there . do you not know any paleoclimatology or is it a conscious choice to distort facts ?

Instead of complaining about anything we have to work to secure the rest of ice because earth is already too hot

Yes, we have to get ALL the ice on earth and put it in coolers.

"We may be in an ice age by 2021..." NASA in 1970s. Many of these alpine glaciers formed during the Little Ice Age as recorded in European history when entire settlements were wiped out. 20,000 years ago Canada and the northern U.S. was under thousands of feet of ice. Look what`s happening now thanks to these scare tactics. Fuel heating costs have doubled and the elderly on fixed incomes may freeze to death this year. Food costs are expected to rise another 25 to 50 percent by next year. Who do you think will pay for the rising fuel costs for the trucks that deliver this food and other products? Look what`s happening in Germany right now. California can barely keep the lights on because of a push towards extremely unreliable solar power. They recently told everyone to NOT charge their electric cars...the DAY AFTER announcing that internal combustion engines will be banned and citizens there CAN`T USE a gas powered generator! And those who`ve actually looked into this know that the climate data has been altered...it`s FAKE...and honest scientists admit there`s no climate emergency. Which do you prefer....ice cold weather or warm weather...because these fanatics are trying to cause another ice age. This planet has very frequent massive volcanic eruptions that dim the sun considerably. The series of eruptions around and after 536 A.D. dimmed the sun by up to 70% for years. How well do you think solar panels will function when it happens again? How will we produce food and feed livestock? An intelligent species would be planning for real disasters but there`s too much money to be made from this massive grifter`s game. What really angers me is seeing evil people blaming every single weather event on "climate change" while blaming and ridiculing storm victims. Way to go! Great way to make friends!

I think the answer is hella obvious, glaciers are in the ocean and the ocean has salt... if you put salt on snow it will melt, but environmentalists are to petty to realize that

So... I think you are talking about Icebergs. Those are often formed when a glacier falls into the ocean. Otherwise the glaciers are formed on mountains and land.
