I never liked being around crowds to begin with. Ever since I can remember, I was always most content quietly sitting somewhere in the corner, doing my own thing, minding my own business, much to my parents' displeasure. They fumed with anger and aggression because of it. According to them, such behavior is not "normal". They never provided any objective reasoning behind it, just screamed at me like animals.
@theshipper579712 сағат бұрын
Which is already a red flag. If you can't explain what 'normal' is meant to be and provide tips on how to become 'normal', then HOW can you expect others to do the same? Expecting them to automatically get it is slacking, and an issue that many need to wake up from. Being 'normal' is overrated and it's best to let people do their own thing because if they're forced into doing stuff they don't want? That's asking for a lot of issues later down the line. To me, if I ever had a kid and they didn't wanna hang out with crowds? That's fine, I would just wanna make sure they were alright, nothing was bothering them, and make sure they were safe. Because in the end? If they can find a way to survive in the world and be content with their own life? Then that should be the major end goal for a parent.

Never liked crowds or large gatherings but went along in my youth because i thought that’s how you got along. Embracing my introversion now and just refusing to enter those situations. It sucks a bit because I used to enjoy the cinema and concerts, but 99/100 other people ruin it for me for the reasons you mentioned here. Happy to be a boring introvert these days, I don’t care anymore.

I decided I wanted to go to the cinema recently. Then I realised the last time I was in a cinema was 7 years ago and it was spoilt by people talking on phones,who I nearly got into fights with when I told them to be quiet and they got aggressive. So swiftly decided to abandon that plan and just save the aggro and cash and wait until I could stream it online.
@michelangelo_693310 сағат бұрын
@ Yep. Last film I went to see was Dune 2 and a drug dealer had based himself there for the night, was on the phone during first half of the movie, had ppl coming in & out to meet him & buy their shit etc. He left about halfway through. Unreal. It’s either a dealer or people talking, making noise with snacks, getting up every 5 mins to go out for snacks or to take a piss 😂 I’m done.
@kingrubbatiti128510 сағат бұрын
@@michelangelo_6933 I've heard it all now - a dealer at the cinema! I was planning to go and see the new Nosferatu film but then I thought I'm bound to have someone yacking away next to me,which will in turn boil my pss. I still like going to concerts,but that nearly got ruined when I was at an Iron Maiden show and someone was in front of me filming the whole thing with their phone on a selfie stick! Then they had the nerve to get angry with me because I was headbanging and jumping up and down...at a metal concert!😂 I hate people.

I don’t trust my own people, let alone strangers. You experienced what we call ”pattern recognition”. You can’t keep cats and dogs in the same enclosure. Same goes with people. Until we all get back to our own native places, this will get worse and worse. Mixed societies are a nightmare and à recipe for disaster. I so’wish I was wrong, but I’m not, unfortunately. We are not wise nor benevolent enough for such things to be viable.

To avoid crowds: - I only go to restaurants on week days, if they serve barbecue on weekends I´m the first to step into the restaurant. I´m the first to leave as well. - I never ever go to the gym at peak time. Only on afternoons before 3 P.M. - I shop online (shoes, sneakers, trousers, shirts). - At supermarkets, I use self-checkout, few people use them here, they like cashiers. I go on week days as well.

I don't mind crowds per se, because I live in a civilized part of the world. I'm not writing this to be cheeky, just providing another perspective from another city: I'm in a small Black Sea city called Batumi, Georgia. People are everywhere. Georgians, Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians living in peace. I've never seen an incident of any kind. I have seen some anti-Russian grafitti, but that's about it. Russians basically have invested a lot here in the past few decades and this place benefits hugely from Russian tourism. According to Numbeo, Batumi is perceived as safer than Tokyo. I would be inclined to agree, based on my experiences in Tokyo. Anyway, the UK needs at least 40 years to fully recover if it ever does, so it's probably better to live in the countryside -- or come to Georgia and pay 1% income tax on most kinds of online income. It's not that I enjoy crowds, but shady people are generally not a concern here. I do however always keep my keys+wallet in a zipped pocket, same as everywhere else. I'm a Norwegian citizen living over here and I don't bother visiting my home country anymore, because the family gatherings are completely predictable and have no tangible value. If someone wants to call me, send me a message, or send me an e-mail, they can feel free to do so at any time. But of course, very few do. I wouldn't mind living in a place with fewer people than here, however I don't drive, and I would lose my access to occasional food delivery and large supermarkets.
