It just proove what I've been saying for the past 3 years - Messi is not the best. He was just in his comfort zone in Barcelona, where everyone was playing around him and he had a bigger word than the coach. Put him into any other team, where the players aren't playing around him and you get a quiet good but not the best player.. He probably thought - '' oh La Liga is a farmer's league when it comes to defenders so I'll try an even worse league''. But yet he was wrong as PSG has Neymar and Mbappé who are the ,,superstars'' there and it's not only about him anymore. This applied for at least the past 3 years where he wasn't the best anymore. Don't get me wrong - Ronaldo isn't the best either. Right now it's between Mbappé, Haaland, Neymar, Lewandowski, KDB and with his current form Salah.

@@Ayush-pd3ep What are your individual stats for when your team is struggeling? Take Ibrahimović as an example. He came to Milan when they were 10th place and after his arrival they finished 2nd and are doing even now solid. This is something. Or take Virgil. After he came to Liverpool they won UCL and EPL and are doing even now pretty solid. These are just a few examples, where stats doesn't matter as long as you make the team somehow play better. Stats are good for fanboys but not relevant as if you can't bring your team to a higher level. (And Messi wasn't as the whole game plan was - pass to Messi and let him have his stats) Even Argentina realised this and the coach and players said that they won't play like this anymore - and suprise, they won Copa América after that) So this is the proof. As I said. Messi isn't a bad player and for sure one of many football legends but neither him or Ronaldo aren't the best for the past 3 years and definitely not this year. And if you think that I am wrong - ask Sir Alex Ferguson who literally kicked out the best player in the world (at that time) - David Beckham. No player is bigger than the team..
