So I practiced by myself the first year. I did not make the team. Second year I finally convinced her to let me join a team so I did. But soon after i was taken off. Second year i did not make the team again. I was playing really well in other sports so i stuck with that. It’s not completely her fault. I could have keep going but I quit because Even though i was getting better i still needed to put in so much more time. I could have keep going but I did not. And thats all on me. But I do other sports where on varsity level where our team is ranked #11 out of 500 or so schools. So i just learned to live with it. a lot of this is really true in my last season I wasn't scoring goals I was always nervous and I didn't take any risks at all. When my season ended I reflected back on what I did wrong and what I could do that would've been a much better option I gotta stop passing it every 5 seconds I receive the ball and take a risk I have to be open minded about my surroundings and be in a good position that I can burst some energy out out and score I can tell my next season this spring im going to succeed and be a great team player your channel taught me a lot. As a coach, the greatest sound in the world is "Hey coach, how can I improve my_______." It tells me two things: 1) This player wants it more than I do, and they will achieve it. 2) This player can improve faster because they want to do more. If I want it more than my players, they are a lost cause. Also, in Palmer, AK our outdoor season is SHORT!!!! Kids gotta be willing to do the work anywhere and everywhere. As a former player, and now a coach, you make great content. All the things that the best coaches in my life as a youth told me. Also, shout out to GK Goluremi and @TylerBack

Goluremi decides, I joined an academy team where they play at high levels & against other pro academy teams, but I’m starting off at the bottom. The other players are just simply better, and I’m not getting game time. Though I will say I’ve gotten so much better playing in this type of environment. I’ve been working on every part of my game, and tons of individual training, my first touch, passing, dribbling, etc.. I’ve recently asked my coach what I can do to get better, he said he’ll give me an answer soon but not at that moment. The goal right now is to make that starting 11, and dominate, but I got a lot of work ahead me. I’ll update this comment

Well as a coach I agree with point two of stunting players growth, but also its key as a player to understand when & where to try something new or when not. Coaches need to encourage taking risks & trying something new, in practice & games. But specifically to my player that sent me your video telling me I was to hard on him for trying something new. When its a Championship game and you try a bicycle kick for the first time when you could have easily headed the ball with no one around you with the keeper out of the goal its disappointing (if you would have missed by playing simple different story, it happens) but to lose such a game by a goal when we should have gone to extra time it was disappointing. Otherwise the only thing I ask as a coach is if you fail at trying something new work with your team to recover the ball!

Huge fan of Goluremi & GkGoluremi. I have been following all the vids, the podcast and am on the LinkedIn group. I also am going to get some new goal keeping gear from the shop as well. I would love to contribute more. Side note as a keeper, I have been playing competitively since 03. I made it as far as thé varsity level. I never played at the collegiate level, but I played with and against guys who did. I learned the game first as a defender, at very young age and in part a defensive midfielder before I got into keeping. These days I am just looking for coaches and trainers to take me past my plateau. I learned a lot of these points the hard way. Mistakes as a keeper are far more punishing, but it’s the best teacher to show how and where you are lacking.

Q+A What is the most important things an aspiring midfielder do? What should I do on the pitch, off the ball, on the ball and what should I train and work on?
@ilknuribryam80353 жыл бұрын
Check your back. Position your body almost turned to the oponents half. Never recieve with your back towards the goal. Look for positions behind or at least between their midfielders when attacking. The most dangerous position you can find yourself as a mid is behind their mid and in front of their defense. Learn to backpass and look for a new position. Work on rotations with your team mates. In defence watch your back for passing channels. Do not let their mids turn with the ball towards your goal. If they revieve with their back, pressure hard. Foul if you have to. It is very easy to get the ball from forwards as a mid. Usually they have to stop and turn and if you run back they will be actually facing you. A little running in defence can make you stand from the other mids thanks to your defensive contribution.
