One of the ways a cold air intake improves vehicle performance is by pulling cool air from outside the engine compartment into the engine. This outside air is cooler than air in the engine compartment. Because cool air is more dense than warm air, it has more oxygen per unit of volume. More oxygen means the engine can make more power.
