@@garret1658 oh no. Markets and systems working. Heaven forbid someone pay taxes on gained wealth. "China doesn't have stock market so you can't invest". Yeah they don't allow private capital ventures to fluctuate business value with speculation. Funny how Instead they simply function on making goods and services and not on people hoarding wealth so they can skim off the top of others hard labor. Instead they leverage the power of the collective bargaining and democracy to make systems that protect ALL people instead of just the lucky ones who invested "smart". Don't forget for every dollar an investor makes from stock market someone else losses. Literally taking from each other so you have more and they have less. Nothing of value was created.

Chinese housing market doesn't affect the US housing market. We'd be more affected if China said they weren't selling goods to the US anymore or if there was a new large tariff on goods shipped from China. Think of how much of our stuff is made in China. If that stopped, all our stuff we buy would have to be made somewhere else at a higher cost of labor = higher prices (not counting inflation).

It's a valid concern even if you've got a degree in economics. That being said, will the government allow the stock market to crash? The answer has been no for the past 10 years at this point. If things are going to crash, it's going to be in real terms, with hyperinflation, not nominally because the Fed has decided to step in whenever they please. So basically in China the only way to invest is through real estate. It makes up 30% of China’s GDP. CCP has a hold in everything. They can control whether what should be invested in or not. Due to China’s huge population real estate is pretty big. The CCP doesn’t put too much restrictions into it. But recently a HUGE company who is in the real estate market when into basically bankruptcy. Laying off their workers and many lost money in investment. Michael sold everything be he doesn’t lose money when other huge companies have the possibility of going under.

China has one of the highest homeownership in the world, especially in younger ages. Nobody directly owns land anywhere, states control it through force/violence and legislate a paper right to land, those rights only exist in relation to the state and its ability to project sufficient force to uphold the law. China has a more restricted housing market that allows for a higher portion of the population to stop being renters (although it's still a market, unfortunately), who effectively pay the mortgages, and profits of unproductive owners. Risk becomes irrelevant as private ownership concentrates to the point of controlling the supply and having access to virtually infinite credit.
@Boundyy

It's not private ownership if it's owned by the state. When do they ever stop being renters? When they begin paying rent to the state instead of a landlord? The mental gymnastics you're doing in this comment is hilarious.
@youtuber7186
@youtuber7186 2 жыл бұрын
@@Boundyy Their homes are owned by themselves as under Chinese law, that doesn't make it private property (private and personal property are two different things). It would be private property if it were rented out to people instead, accumulating capital for the owners of the building complexes. 70% of Chinese millennials are homeowners, the highest out of anywhere in the world. What I'm trying to explain for those that haven't read a lot about politics and economics and their relation to history is that private property itself exists only in relation to a state. To carry out what is legislated and to control the geography/territories over which the legislation supposedly covers requires force.
@youtuber7186

@@Boundyy They personally own it as under Chinese law. Private property is something used to expropriate profit for a capitalist, not something used to fulfill a need to a person. 70% of Chinese millennials are homeowners, much higher than anywhere else.
