IF you don't live in a area with ponds and lakes you don't realize the damage created by goose poop it is amazing just how much one goose creates in a day, it builds up on sidewalks and pollutes ponds, lakes and golf courses causeing excessive weed and algae growth. Not to mention the aggressiveness towards humans, it's time to control the population.

@@BIG_C_2137technically this is still nature… a crap ton of humans have driven animals from their natural habitats but we don’t call for their extermination or consider it unnatural bc it’s our own species being multiplied (no I’m not saying we should be exterminated but that we’re not exactly role models)

The fact that people thought that geese were being caught and eaten in Ohio was so ridiculous. If the people of that town really thought the story was true, then they should be asking for these geese to be relocated to that town. Of course they are not going to bring it up at this point -- because the disinformation has already done the job they wanted it to do

Wow! We have Canadian geese that stop over on their migration twice a year, coming and going, northern middle Tennessee....rural. Their numbers have decreased significantly in the past 10 years since we've been here. They are magnificent creatures....I always pray for them going overhead....they are on a mission, and work together beautifully, taking turns to be the lead goose in the formation and honking each other along. I have been thinking that many get taken out in their travels with all the crazy weather events around the planet..... Sure hate to learn that they are being euthanized in large numbers.....

With all the starving people in our country can't we find away to feed the homeless with the overpopulation of geese. I would never be able to harm any animal myself, but I understand about over population and being hungry. I once lived on Buckeye Lake in Ohio and during the summer hundreds of geese made it impossible to walk on the beach and swim in the water. 😢

These are migratory birds people. If you relocate or eliminate them but still have attractive resources for them, guess what... more show up next week. Numbers can be influenced by hunting seasons and bag limits. But if you live in a migratory flyway and have resources, they depend on you gonna have to learn to co-exist with nature.

I wish our city in Colorado would get rid of the Canadian Geese here. In the winter they come into towns and leave their feces all over the sidewalks and in our parks. It's disgusting. I'm afraid of an e coli outbreak here. Many years ago some animal lovers thought it was a good idea to raise baby geese here and they assumed they would fly south for the winter and then come back in the summer but oh no they didn't go south because they were unnaturally raised here. They can scratch thru the snow here enough to get food.
