Now. As for why Mimic would mimic Afton all of the sudden, my guess is that since he saw the MCI and saw how the Storyteller's stories are literally just the past of Fazbear Entertainment as a whole. It could observe all of the stories, especially the ones with Afton and mimic it. It also seems very likely as well that the circuit boards that were scanned in Help Wanted's VR game came from Mimic, as Tape Girl says once they scanned it all, the code seemed to take hold by itself. And Hand Unit says they were able to recreate routines and personalities. So it seems like Mimic was put into this game to help replicate. So Mimic would see all of the scenarios from the VR game and all of the stories from the Storyteller with Afton, and would want to mimic it, as that's what it's programmed to do. So in conclusion, Mimic seems to just be an Al that mimics things that it sees and not actually Afton, and it's also Glitchtrap/Burntrap. So Afton isn't Glitchtrap/Burntrap. The Mimic Al is, and it's just mimicking him.

If you think about it, there was no unanimous opinion that Glitchtrap is Afton's soul, which moved into computers, or that Burntrap is his survivor: there was no one. The version that Glitch is an AI double of Afton took place. (with Burn, however, it was not clear) And Mimic confirmed. If you forget about the nonsense that he is supposedly the new villain of Fnaf, then everything falls into place: the ending of Fnaf 6 is not devalued, and Afton continues to be the main villain. (just not real anymore)

@@artbyphobia, I'm not at all opposed to the fact that Mimic is a logical explanation for Afton's return as an AI doppelgänger. But as a new villain, he is extremely poor, especially in comparison with those who could have come after William. (Ennard and Fredbear, for example). Besides, all the memes about Afton surviving and about peepaw Willy can be justified by the fact that Mimic (aka Afton 2.0) has been fooling fans all these years. Not Mimic himself, mind you, but as a robotic double of Afton.

There is a lot of connections in game and the books. Especially TigerRock being the biggest hint especially how both Burntrap and the mimic move in a very similar way with one hand curled while the other hand is reaching out. From what I know there were heated debates back then with people arguing if Burntrap was the Mimic (mostly on the fnaf reddit) Then the mimic epilogues progresses and slowly that 50/50 procentage of believers and non believers started to shift more towards favoring the believers (like 85/15) But then the epilogues ended with the Mimic being powered off and the Fandom basically exploded (the procentage changing to something like 60/40) My point is basically that there have always been deniers (also sorry for forcing you to read my semi rant :D )

On your point about THE MIMIC and Mimic1 being the same, but seemingly operating independently of each other, take it from an IT guy. Say you have three computers. You load each of them up with Windows 11. Let them sit and run and you'll likely see negligible to no difference between them. But, if you give these computers to different people, they will end up looking very different yet still be running the same OS. If the cable that ran under the Pizzaplex was to restore power to and update THE MIMIC with the version of Mimic1 that was previously immersed in the Pizzaplex systems, it's going to reflect those changes.

I've been theorizing that Mimic and Glitchtrap have the same software, if we consider that Mimic is just an endoskeleton gen 1.1 (some people have been pointing that is not an endo gen 1 and neither gen 2) with Mimic1 software, meaning with default profile, then Glitchtrap could be Mimic1 with William's data/profile. As for Burntrap, i don't have an answer since it could what's left of William in an endo or someone/something else.

I believe that Burntrap's identity may be that he is Luca from the Tales From The Pizza Plex story "Pressure", in which a teenager enters a fnaf 3 role-playing game wearing a Springbonnie outfit modified to look like Springtrap, but in the end it turns out that the suit was a real springlock, and Luca accidentally activates the springlocks and dies inside the suit. Now, taking into account that Burntrap is not Afton, much less Mimic since this one NEVER came out of the hole in which he was locked under concrete in the ruined pizzaplex (since we are told that this one was behind this wall in the pizzaplex area after the events of FNaF 6, and well, we only broke this wall in ruins), and therefore it is impossible for it to be burntrap since it was in a capsule of the pizzaplex, and even more so with Scott Cawthon's latest statements in which he said that it was not planned to be a final boss or anything like that, that he is simply going to stay still in the dark in various corners as a simple easter egg, we can deduce that it may be. try Luca. You could say that Fazbear Entertainment saw a corpse in a springlock suit and decided to hide it and keep the evidence to themselves as always. That's my theory.

Given that The Mimic has a left hand with claws, then a right hand with just 4 fingers, and with Burntrap having a perfect 5 fingers with claws on his left hand, with 2 bone fingers on the right hand to make a total of 5, even with Burntraps teeth and The Mimic's teeth, there's no doubt there's a connection. My guess is that even though William is irrelevant to Fnaf's current story, I think he's still somewhat around. Given that his head and some of his parts still remain, who's to say that when he's on his robotic body, he's resurrected. It does explain the purple eyes. That also begs the question, if The Mimic is the new William, wouldn't The Mimic also Mimic Williams iconic color? Other than Burntrap, we haven't seen The Mimic have any features of Afton, other than the "wearing a suit and killing" characteristic. Also, I love your profile picture, its really cool. :D

Mimic's right hand/arm is clearly replaced, his right arm has a clear cut in the middle of it. You can also even see a 5 fingered right hand clawmark both in the vent of the storage room where Mimic is sealed up in Ruin and vent in Burntraps room.

I agree with pretty much everything. While I go back and forth between Afton being combined with Mimic1 to make Glitchtrap, the most recent lore shows otherwise. My take is that Glitchtrap works in tandem with The Mimic Endoskeleton, and that while they share knowledge and similar goals, the achieve them and act differently. I believe that Helpi is Glitchtrap in a less assuming form, hence the Yellow eyes with Purple Veins. This explains why Mimic argues with Helpi even though they should be the same, Helpi is Glitchtrap which is a corrupted Mimic1, and The Mimic has a common goal. Think about it, Glitchtrap likely wants to replace Vanessa, and Cassie is a prime candidate, and better yet she can help free the physical Mimic.

It's debated when he was first built, however the community have whittled it down to either the late 70s or early 80s. Regardless, we know that Mimic was built in early - late March of a year without legs, then, in December of the same year, what is referred to as "Team A" give him legs.

Pizza Party is supposed to be there. Gltichtrap can't make new things, but rather copy, or, MIMIC things that exist. Glitchtrap took the Spring Bonnie model that was already there.

There is one simple reason why both mimic and Burntrap cant be seperate characters in the underground Tear of the limbs and heads Thats it, the mimic would destroy Afton, in any of his forms because the mimic sees both humans and endoskeletons as endoskeletons. Tangle is unafected because it doesn't have limbs, and it has a bunch of heads it can use if one does get ripped off.

I use "Mimic1" for the first model made by edwin, the ai in the pizzaplex would be "The Storyteller", I identify the endoskeleton in the epilogues as "The Shapeshifter" or "Mimic2" and the model we see in Ruin as Grimic. The first I wanna talk about is the narrative, because I feel that I should explain my personnal problems with this theory before putting any argument: the biggest issue that I have is William, and what he becomes in this case scenario. If you ask a fnaf fan for an iconic line, they're likely to say "I always come back", and there's a reason for it. More than just a line, this is what defines William Afton, what makes him stand out of the rest: the promise that you have not seen the end of him, despite your greatest belief. And the mimic=burntrap goes completely against this idea, admitting than Springtrap stayed dead, wich is the last straw when Afton says this iconic line in fnaf §, the game that is presumed to be his last death. Not to mention that Glitchtrap also use it twice in fnaf vr. Also, I don't why Scott would change the narrative all the sudden, don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a new villain and I find the mimic perfect on its own, but I also expect william to come back. And if his final death happens, I expect it to be emphasised on, like his death in Fazbear's Fright. Its also worth noting that this theory implies a HUGE retcon, and Scott said explicitly that he didn't retcon at will, because of his repect for the community. And this is basicelly my biggest issue with the theory, of course I have more, but we'll get into those as the debat go on.

My only complaint with that theory is.. Why would Steel Wool use the "trap" suffix for Burntrap or Glitchtrap, if afton isn't the one trapped? I choose to believe a different theory for both Burntrap/Glitchtrap and the Mimic. Glitchtrap and Burntrap are still afton. Constantly clinging on to life. The evidence? Well a simple voice line of Scraptrap from Ultimate Custom Night. "What a deceptive calling. I knew it was a lie the moment I heard it, obviously, but it is intriguing nonetheless." Most assume it was the Balloon boy call he was talking about.. BUT that would make most sense with Springtrap. So what calling is he talking about? Then much like the funtimes contained parts from the OG Animatronics *Ones that would later become the Withered ones*, his soul became part of the Fazbear Network. I.e Glitchtrap. While his body was left buried underneath the remains of that fake location, which he planned to gain access to give it a spark of life again. Making use of Vanessa's body to do so, since she was the very beta tester played by the player in Help Wanted 1. Could have been as simple as putting a Vanny Mask on with a Glitchtrap copy on. *Considering he was digital now, he could spread his soul even farther than the funtimes were* Or just a piece of his soul entering it would revive the old soul again. With the princess quest ending though, Burntrap still survived possibly attacked by the blob thus losing one of his arms later picked up and used by the mimic to repair himself. He could still survived, but is deeper down. Now what about the mimic? Simple Color. While Afton is shown with the color purple, and the eyes of Helpi under Mimic's control was Yellow.. Or should I say orange. Now does this mean the Orange Guy is the mimic, no... But he WAS the maker of the mimic. My theory is, the mimic was created by the orange guy. Who was actually a person only mentioned once... In FNAF2 by phone guy. The original owner of Fredbears before Fazbears bought it out. It couldn't be Henry because... He had the control of Fazbears during Pizza sim to make a fake location legally. This original owner was struggling to compete with Fazbears, after they added animatronics. *Before the springlocks* While Fredbears only had cloth suits. So in a rush to compete, the owner worked on making one of his own.. The most advanced robot he could make, a self learning one. But in doing so he neglected his son, who ended up being hit by a car. This death resulted in him breaking his robot down in an angry rampage, but didn't realize it didn't shut down and saw the whole thing on itself. Then he left the parts in the old costume room, which we see in Ruin. Followed by him selling his business to Henry Emily and William Afton, said business being scavenged. Of course Afton found the mimic, saw it's potential and improved his later animatronics with the schematics he found of it. However... Something happens that requires him to add a failsafe to keep them in check. In comes the springlock system. Until his son dies, as well as various employee deaths. All the while the old mimic parts slowly repaired itself over the years in the abandoned basement. The basement being so deep that the fires never even touched.

​@@The_Speak_EZ First of all, things in the books work different from the games, take the Springlock suit's example: They use different types of springlocks and the suits overall function slightly differently and look a little different too, so maybe the games have a difference in The Mimic's story as well. Second of all, I would like to know how this big clunky box-shaped Mimic-endo managed to remove all of it's limbs from it's torso and replace it with an endoskeleton used exclusively by Springbonnie and Fredbear in the late 70's to early 80's that is still attached to William's scorched body. Seriously, how would it even do that? It even changed it's arms to be springlock arms too. The Mimic itself was not and can never be a springlock endo because that just isn't how it works. A springlock suit is a costume with springlocks on the inside that pull the endo into the edge of the inside of the suit, making just enough room for a person to sqeeze inside, The Mimic on the other hand is a bare naked endo with absolutely 0 parts of a springlock-style endo or any actual suit. He can't fully replace his torso, and the springlock-style endo is not his original endo.

Also, in fnaf 3 didn't phoneguy say that the current suits were too unsafe to use and that replacement suits would arrive? It's commonly believed William Afton went to a Freddy's/Fredbears (But probably a Freddy's because the springlock suits were used in in Freddy's and not exclusively Fredbear's) after fnaf 3 and after he became Dark Springtrap because his suit was falling apart. I also don't see why William having functioning organs like in The man in Room 280 must mean he can't be Scraptrap. Take the Withereds for example too, they an look different in fnaf 1 is because Henry repaired their endos and remade their costumes a little bit since the old ones were bloody and had holes and missing pieces. Take the Golden Freddy's for example too, they can look different if one of them is an old suit and another is one of those "replacement" suits, and since there are so many springlock suits at Fredbears and we only see one of them use hydraulics for the jaw instead of a hinge, it's fully possible that Fredbear either had his hydraulics removed and replaced with hinges after the bite of 83.

On the surface, William Afton is explicitly mentioned, implying that Tales is canon to any continuity with the Afton story. On the other hand, it is couched as "according to lore and rumor" opening the possibility for it to be whole cloth. The best analogy right now is Kevin Sorbo vs Lucy Lawless in Hercules the Legendary Journey. Hercules was a real character in Greek mythology, but the plot of the show took liberties for dramatic reasons. Xena was created whole cloth for the series. They seem to be setting up for either possibility based on fan reaction. An in-universe version of FazProp in action is the way the movie characters are like the story, but different enough that JJ Abrams could have done it: In a 90s rundown version of the pizzaria (analogous to FNaF 1) Mike Schmidt, his little sister Abby and Vanessa(?!) are accosted by classic Bonnie, Freddie, Chica, Foxy and a yellow Bonnie which may or may not be worn by... Steve Raglan. Seeing as it is Scott in the driver seat, it is probably his Freddyverse interpretation (where the story is like Mario or Zelda, same story told in infinite ways). Nice video, I clearly understand why people now believe that Glitchtrap and Burntrap are one of the same with the Mimic. However, I still choose to believe that Glitchtrap and Burntrap, are William Afton in a way. Glitchtrap says the line “I always come back, let me out” which Mimic can’t know about unless he witnessed Scraptrap kill Michael in Fnaf 6, which we know didn’t happen, and it also sounds like Glitchtrap is willing to break free of the digital world, which is something the Mimic already achieved at this point. We know the princess is most likely Cassidy since that’s what she was originally labeled in the game files, so if Glitchtrap is just the Mimic and Cassidy has the real William in UCN, why is she here? Just to stop a dumb AI? Seems out of character. The Mimic maybe able to change eye-colour but then what gives with all the purple mist and haunting laughters in the Burntrap boss fight? How would the Mimic even know how to mind control Vanessa? Or anyone? Has mind controlling been around the Fnaf universe for some time and Glitchtrap witnessed it? I think the storyteller was more so trying to explain how the Glamrocks got their alternate personalities, mimicking what they see children do during the day. Because remember, mimic1 is just a program, I’m no expert but I’m sure that wouldn’t mean the mimic programs in the Glamrocks would carry all the memories and data of the original Mimic. After all, the Glamrocks didn’t start ripping people apart. Which brings me to my next point, in the epilogues, the only thing we see the Mimic do is rip people apart, while in SB we don’t see him trying to rip apart Gregory or the shattereds. He just high-fives TV screens, when did the Mimic learn to that? Heck we see the Mimic’s point of view and all it wants is to just do what it thinks it needs to do, and there is not mention of Afton at all. It’s not mimicking Afton, and it has no reason to. And it’s an AI that mimics EVERYTHING it sees, so I don’t think it can just pick and choose depending on the situation. My final point being that it ruins Fazbear Frights, UCN, and Vanny’s character. Fazbear Frights introduced agony which was accepted as to how William came back, so to say none of that was legit kicks the books in the balls. Cassidy keeping William alive to torture him in an eternal nightmare was interesting in my opinion, and Old Man Consequences tried to tell her that this was wrong and she should let go yet she doesn’t listen. Wouldn’t that be cool? Help Wanted - Security Breach being the aftermath of Cassidy’s selfish goals? And now she’s trying to right them? And if Glitchtrap is this AI wanting to continue Fazbear’s murderous legacy, and can make itself a Springtrap cosplay on its own, then why or what is Vanny doing here? Did the Mimic just make her exist for the sake of having a killer bunny hoping around? I don’t buy it. And my final point being that there is a staff bot replica of the Afton family in the sewers. The mimic can’t make that he doesn’t know anything about the Afton family. Vanny may have done it but then… why? So yeah, I still think William needs to directly be involved just to finish the last wall on Glitchtrap’s existence. I could be wrong and this means totally nothing, but I don’t see anything wrong with Glitchtrap and Burntrap being William either. Especially when Glitchtrap is now destroyed in Princess Quest and anything left of Afton is gone. Leaving the original Mimic to ripping people apart again. Perhaps it could be both? Glitchtrap is a mimic1 program infected with Afton’s spirit and Burntrap is a Mimic 2.0 Endo with Afton’s remains surgically added onto it.

@@Sing87ehhey what do you think about the fact that HW2 refers to Glitchtrap as an it, but then mentions “his” code? I have a theory that Afton’s agony was infused into the Mimic1 program and caused it to take on the bunny suit fursona, child murderer tendencies, and general Afton mannerisms while still having many mimic qualities. I believe that in completing HW2 and collecting Glitchtrap’s “memories” of the MCI and Charlotte- Afton’s memories, we are destroying them. The files “Voice” a character talking to us through the files tells us that the STAFF bots are working for it and that it is bound to the past. The voice tells us that by gathering it’s memories we can destroy them, and then she can crush his code. I believe that this is the Mimic1 offshoot of Vanny becoming independent from the Afton Mimic1 strain, and telling us to destroy Afton’s memories and then let her remove the personality entirely. This entity then becomes Helptrap- or Helpi- a purple and white(like tiger rock) bear with orange mimic eyes an purple veins of agony. The reason it no longer has the Glitchtrap persona is because the Vanny AI destroyed that persona; now we have infected mimic1. I believe that this Helpi is the equivalent to Tiger Rock, more violent and less intelligent than Glitchtrap was. Tiger Rock also helped the Endo in the basement, which Helpi does to Mimic. I am a strong believer that the books do tell us what happens in the games, as they are set in the same universe, but don’t literally happen in the same universe. As John from Fuhnaff pointed out- the shipment of high tech bots to the Pizzaplex already happened in SB, and it’s wasn’t the same as the Tales version. They got sent a bunch of high-tech robots and a “creepy bot” that is “drawn to sound” which workers “taught”(not programmed) to work under the Daycare from the hacked DLZ Shipping Solutions. Glitchtrap then takes over the Pizzaplex and Vanny(and maybe patient 46/GGY) start hacking teh animatronics. Eventually all the staff is killed in the all staff meeting, by the Mimic under Vanny’s orders, and the robot is moved to the STAFFBOT Silo. We see the Mimic learn and develop, before being led through the Pizzaplex down to the Sinkhole. Vanny uses Glamrock Freddy was used to clear a path deeper into the Pizza Place, where Vanny disposed all of the bodies of the staff and the high-tech boys she trained the mimic to dismantle as practice for the staff. If Vanny isn’t freed then the Mimic is taken apart and rebuilt with Afton’s agony- becoming Burntrap: the heavily modified body of the Mimic with various new parts and Afton’s agony creating a fleshy circulatory system, flesh, bones, and purple veins with stained black eyes; and who could forget Glitchtrap’s famous agony tears an drool leaking from Burntrap’s eyes and mouth. However, because Vanny was freed Gregory, Freddy, and Vanessa all leave together. After they leave Cassie’s Dad arrives and defeats Glitchtrap, turning him into Helptrap before dying and becoming Mask Bot. Vanessa and Gregory return to the Pizzaplex, with Vanessa embracing her Vanny persona. They go down and trap the mimic deep in the sinkhole- believing Glitchtrap to be defeated somehow. Vanessa modified an old 80’s supercomputer- the MXES- with a program to keep the Mimic locked up. This program manifests as the Entity- a rabbit designed by Vanessa as a symbol of overcoming Glitchtrap and using his likeness to “ruin” his plan. However, Helptrap had access to Cassie’s Dad’s memories due to becoming a part of the system, and manages to contact Cassie using samples of Gregory’s voice. And this catches us up to now I think. And i don't think Glitchtrap is from the og mimic. I think he came from model 2 mimics that saw mci. As mimic model 2 was meant to watch performances routines and mimic them just like how all the circuit boards for hw was confirmed to be for recreating performance routines

I believe that the books don’t happen in the same timeline that the games do- BUT- I do believe that roughly the same things happen and they are meant to teach us about the games. There is a shipment sent to Fazbear containing the Mimic and FDS Bots in the games already, and is different from the ones in the books. In the books the Mimic is sent, trained by a staff member, and kills everyone before being trapped in a springlock suit in the skink hole. In the games the Mimic is sent to the Pizzaplex, trained up under the Daycare, hijacked by Vanny to dismantle the FDS bots as practice, then kill all the Staff, is sent down to the Staffbot Silo where it learns and grows and is taught about Afton, and then is sent to the Sinkhole to unify with the Glitchtrap strain of Mimic 1. In the Burntrap ending Vanny heavily modified the Mimic to resemble a springlock suit with other parts, and then is infused with Glitchtrap to “grow” a fleshy circulatory system, skin, bone, and purple veins and black eyes like Tangle. This Burntrap is the combination of the dark stain Afton left on the world using the Mimic as a vessel. But, that’s not the canon ending, Vanny never completes Burntrap and Mimic is just stuck down there. Cassie’s dad removes the Afton persona from Glitchtrap, turning it into Helptrap, before dying and becoming Mask Bot. Vanessa and Gregory trap Mimic and create the Entity to keep it locked up, but Helptrap has access to Cassie’s dad’s memories due to his possession of the VANNI network, allowing it to contact Cassie using Gregory’s voice.

All the proof is bad... This is just denial video with made up explanation. Burntrap isn't mimic. Steelwolf make sb ruin like this so we can confuse ourself asking which one canon ending in series. We know burntrap get taken by blob in series and that why he dont exist anywhere in ruin. Same case for Vanny because she get killed by staffbot. Just because that ending possible they will not show that character in ruin. Mimic room with mxes machine is very deep, deeper than burntrap boss room. That room have mxes that keep the mimic and the concrete the wall. Yeah Gregory have been there but mimic still never leave that place because mxes exist. Gregory also say that thing already exist for long time ago at the elevator ending. Canon ending or not isnt important, the point is burntrap exist at one point You can compare how different is mimic and burntrap, and the obvious part is the teeth. Idk about scraptrap, we dont have any info about how it change from that into burntrap in this game. Springtrap can fix himself in trash become scraptrap before fnaf6, but you cant say the same case for burntrap. Mimic stuck down there with high security so it just cant be burntrap. Also again changing teeth is so stupid that cant be possible to happening.

The Mimic would have been lured to his lair by Gregory and Vanessa, with them creating MXES after as due to the last location the mimic was in the tales epilogue in the safe room of the pizza place. In Epilogue 8, there was this line where it brought up the possibility of the mimic finding a way to self repair. Also redesign exists, candy cadet has a design change in ruin that differs from ffps
