Point the arrow left then right, the mirrored image will have also pointed left then right. Then point it up then down. It's mirrored image will have also pointed up and then down. Point the arrow towards then away from the mirror. Lo and behold, Its mirrored image will also have pointed towards then away from the mirror. No flip there either.

Another video explained this much better by describing the image in a mirror as displaying the image from behind. The description of flipping is not valid at all.
