9:37 you gotta keep in mind Misty was a victim of narcissistic parenting as one myself. Her cutie mark represents freedom and peace because now metaphorically she is free like a butterfly from Opal and then you have the changing destiny thing from the show. The show wouldn't say all that since its a much heavier storyline and as is the storyline if you can relate is a heavy hitting story

Now that you brought this point, that makes sense. At first glance I had a hard time figuring that out. I was thinking in terms of talent. But in terms of her destiny, seeing it as how she was meant to stay away from Opaline's wrath is a way to look at it. Especially from a terrible person such as her.
