why modesty?

As a Christian, I honestly love the way Muslims dress. Does anyone know the name of the veils they are wearing? They look so much like what Orthodox nuns would wear! Mashallah! 🩷

Modesty is not just a Muslim thing. In many countries, it is also common to see Christian ladies covering up.

@@Back2traditional And I love that, honestly. But, sadly, I live in America where modesty is practically dead. I always thought I'd have to be a nun to wear something extremely modest. I only go as far as covering my body. Recently, I've started head covering. Thank you for your kindness. 🩷

In the world there are two extremes today, almost naked and covered almost full🤦🏻‍♀️. If a man has a problem with a woman’s hair then he has a problem. I am modest in what I wear, I keep myself for marriage, I believe in that but wearing all black and being almost full covered is not ok. But I am not a muslim and I don’t believe in a religion that says that men will get virgins in paradise, so much obsession with women and sex🤦🏻‍♀️

As a recent convert I'd like to thank you for your video! It helped me understand hijab even on a deeper level! Back then...before finding out about the real face of Islam (and not the one the media is spreading ruthlessly) I felt forever lost and lonely. Ever since embrasing the religion and accepting Allah SWT, he helped me in my fight to overcome my depression. I'm really thankful for this. Wearing the hijab reminds me DAILY of the kindness and love of Allah SWT and I encourage my Muslim sisters to find their inner strength and follow their beliefs, because life is short but Jannah is forever

@@Dhikrona Now even as a Muslim woman who covers, I don’t think that statement is accurate. Women from all walks of life get harassed, covered or not. Sexual harassment is/was such a huge problem in the busy streets of Egypt, even for niqabi women. It’s well known that in South Asian countries, you’ll have a problem with men purposely leering at women even though they are covered… if a man wants to harass you and is bent on it, clothes aren’t going to stop him. You even hear of little pre-pubescent girls being violated/harassed. Your statement is inaccurate and shows a very surface level view of the world and how a lot of men are.

@@amatulfulani6390 Maybe a bit pessimistic of men! . many men are decent and have their own family. The point is: hejab is kind of protection for women. many people respect covering ladies .
