I find myself back to this video, year after year. In college, I studied the Latter-day Saints while researching religions of the world. I had the great opportunity to learn from students of Prof. Stendahl and revere his rules for religious understanding, and I'm grateful for the missionaries, members, and now family for the journey that led me to now; five years later, a member of the church with a beautiful wife, who served a mission, and a wonderful daughter born into this faith and culture. I'm glad I can watch this message, reflect on the past few years, and feel the joy of finding faith.

I am a baptized Catholic, and love and honor my faith. One of my very good and beloved friends is LDS and a temple worker. I do appreciate the Mormon ritual of baptizing the dead, and since my mother had never been baptized in life I asked my friend to have her baptized at the temple. My father was baptized at the same temple after he passed in 1985 by his sister (my aunt) who was a Mormon. Now I am considering having my parents sealed in the temple too.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I was Catholic for 17 years of my life, then I met a wonderful family from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and I started going to Church with them. I felt my heart touched deeply a few times, just like sacred moments. Then, after about one year of praying, searching and seriously pondering about it, I decided to be baptized. I had to change a few things, bad habits, in my life in order to be baptized, it wasn't an easy decision when I think of my behavior as a teenager. However, when I think about my faith, I don't feel that I had to change much, as I would continue praying to our Heavenly Father and having faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. After one year I could say that I fell in love with the Church. I loved the opportunity I had to serve and to talk about the gospel in our Sunday classes. I felt so close to God and thankful that I decided to serve a mission. As a result of all that, I served a 2 year mission and then I got married in the Temple. I love going to the Temple, it helps us remember the commitment we have with God, and it makes me feel that we must always look for excellence in everything we do in life. I was the only one baptized in my family, but my Catholic parents respect it so much, and they also have asked me to baptize my grandparents and great grandparents in the Temple. Our faith is a lot more similar than we usually think, we all love our Savior and our Father in heaven. It's great to see people like you, who can naturally see how similarly good we are, instead of the opposite. You have a good heart. Greetings from Brazil.

Being in the temple is the sweetest heavenly experience. It is a place where inspired thoughts flow freely. It is a place where one can put aside the cares of the world and draw close to God, our Heavenly Father. Most of all, it is a place where one sees clearly that the Lord Jesus Christ is the center of everything - our Brother and our Savior. I love to go to the temple!

I dont know why so many people hate on Mormons. I myself dont care for any religion but Mormons are harmless people who have their point of view and should be left to do so. I have had numerous conversations with them, you know the ones riding their bikes. I've been LDS my entire life. I served a mission in Madagascar. IT was the most destitue, poor place I have ever seen. But the people there were happy. They loved their families, they loved their friends, and they tried to lead good lives. Some of them had the chance to go to the Temple in South Africa after selling everything they had. IT changed their lives and made their families closer. The temple is a good place and the Church does great work helping people see good in the world.

I do agree that the Bible says that people get baptized on behalf of the dead, and I think it is right that people do this, but I believe that God does not live in a house made with hands, that our bodies are the temple of the Lord since believers are part of the body of Jesus Christ.

I really liked what the professor from Harvard said about all of the information that is found in the Bible about the temple. When I go to the temple I like to think about the people in ancient times that participated in this sacred practice. It is amazing that we as children of God have been using temples for hundreds, even thousands of years. It is a testament to me that God is the same today as He was yesterday, and He will be the same forever and ever.
