Vusi Thembekwayo

Vusi Thembekwayo

Күн бұрын

So let’s begin… Vusi is a disruptor.
At 25 he ran a R400mn division in a R17bn multi-national and today is widely regarded as one of the most disruptive forces in venture capital in Africa. He was amongst the youngest directors of a listed company in South Africa and now serves on several boards.
Currently, he is the CEO of a boutique investment & advisory firm in Africa. Leading by example, his firm forces medium, large and listed businesses into much needed, often painful, always lucrative new directions.
Having graced the covers of Entrepreneur Magazine, with features on Forbes and Inc500, his social media engagement often mirrors that of a Rockstar.
Vusi is a consummate speaking professional! On and off stage. He doesn’t just talk business - he lives it. For real, he walks, talks and breathes it! You see he does more than simply inspire revolution, he’s the guy that initiates it.
He has been the catalyst for change in businesses across the globe through expertise in strategy, leadership and sales.
A staggering 21 global cities have experienced Vusi. Oh and add New York, London, Paris, Lagos, Jersey, Guernsey, Rio de Janeiro, Dar es Salaam, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Colombo, Nairobi, Kampala, San Francisco to the list.
That’s what you get when you talk about things that make perfect sense.

I personally believe business plans are important because it sort of creates a relationship between the entrepreneur and the business itself, if you don't plan, you plan on failing. A business plan is the constitution of a business, just as a country can not run without a constitution so can a business not run without a document. It is fundamental that the business owner has a relationship and a broader understanding of the aspects of the business. Maybe Vusi speaks as he does because of his long term experience but for the beginners and even for those who are not beginning planning is good and having a document which directs the business is absolutely important in ensuring plans are executed. As an entrepreneur one is an architect and the plan is something which the architect plans on executing those very plans.

10000% agree, however, you constantly have to GROW and ADAPT to constant changing markets which could be volatile at times and you have to be prepared for the unexpected and WHEN the unexpected happens, adapt...

Yeah I definitely agree on that one how can you jump into something being tested rather than putting thought into something, you try and jump into a certain market where there are big sharks out there and you'll most likely get destroyed by the competition unless having a business plan to exceed for a more precise knowledge in your business just puts more assurance in the business idea.

Well for me if you need funding from the financial institutions you go by their terms by providing them business plan but what they don't know is that some of these business plans are bought from people and tendered to the financial institutions to fund a business that is not originally captured in the plan.

Plot Twist/Qstn: What if you buy yo car on credit and pay instalments and invest the Cash you have? Vs buying the car on cash coz yu can afford it. I have observed that most millionnaires takes a bank loan for say a 400mill project , the catch could be that his money is tied on another "profitable"project to cover the loan interest than to sacrifice his ongoing project for the current need, your thoughts?
@emmasennie8768
@emmasennie8768 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's TRUE. For instance if you need to buy a car that cost 1000$ n u already have 1000$ in your bank account, you can buy n be done with it. But a business minded person will you his 1000$ to buy a property let's say a real estate property, use it as a mortgage for a loan to buy a car and use the profit from the real estate property to pay for the loan. After he is done paying for the loan, he has a car and his real estate asset..
