It's interesting how your examples: MJ, Whitney, Bruce were all from a different era. I think this is in part because so many "Soundcloud rappers" or anyone who can put music on stream today would never have even gotten an offer back in the day.

Went to school for music and have worked in the industry for over a decade in LA, Nashville, and Europe. I've already made it, not trying to flex by saying all of that. Success will find you when you aren’t even looking for it. Fu*k the music industry man it’s rigged. Focus on yourself , Empower yourself, remember it takes money to make money , growing in music is an active investment all money pulled out goes back in. If you look as if you need help no one will help you or support you, that’s the bystander effect so learn to sell yourself.

Make music because you love creating work on in consistently withour expecting anything material in return.

Great video! You touched on a lot of things I resonate with, especially refusing to give up rights to a label, and how most artists don’t understand the business aspect of music such as brand building and maximizing customer lifetime value. This is why I’m currently building an AI business right now that I plan to sell within 5 years and net $50M+ while building my KZbin channel, in order to become a fully self-funded musician one day and bypass labels entirely, which I’m documenting on my channel. Interested in learning more about what u have to uncover about the industry 👌

turn to Jesus Christ he loves all of us more than anything and he literally died for us. He took in the punishment for our sins thru on the cross. It wasn’t cuz we deserved it, but cuz he loved us. 1 John 4:10 “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” it was thru his love that he died for us and we can be forgiven
