Why most superheroes in Invincible SUCK.

Amazon's Invincible tells the story of Mark Grayson becoming a superhero, and the pressures that he faces, especially from his father: Omni Man. While the show develops Omni Man to suck, and Mark Grayson to start following in his footsteps, we see a lot of just bad Superheroes in Invincible.

Robot and Monster Girl the same age mentally, please stop slandering the best character in Invincible, his intentions were innocent. The subject of DupliKate is interesting though. Given her abilities, it’s debatable whether she perceives reality the way we do. She lives like a siphonophore and acquires infinitely more experiences from each of her colonial organisms than we do in the same amount of time. Wouldn’t that make her learn and mature differently than we do? Tbh it makes sense she’d end up with the Immortal, I knew why she was with him before she had to explain it.

1; The Amber problem. What everyone's mad at is her whole "Where the fuck were you?" During the whole cyborg attack at the college is illogical with her statement of "I know you're a superhero Mark. I've known form months."......Then why were you yelling at him for abandoning you when you were in danger when he was he was right there getting his teeth knock out trying to protect you from said danger? The answer is simple. Bad writing. Change that line to "I know you're a superhero, Mark. I figured it out on the car ride home." Boom, fixed. Her anger is still a bit illogical but much more understandable. 2; Yeah, Adomeve's dad is a bad parent. Especially after you watch her origin story. He was constantly verbally abusing her because she wasn't 'normal' enough for him? Peice of shit.

I really liked another youtubers idea on how to fix the Amber scene which is by making her Darkwing's daughter - meaning, she knew Mark was a hero and was holding out on the hope that he'd get better at lying about his identity. She left him not because he wasn't helping those in need (he very much is), but because she was afraid of what could happen if Villains knew she was "Invincible's Girlfriend".

I think it is a bit of an abrupt twist but c'mon. You can make it like she made Mark think he left her for dead with the cyborg attack and he STILL wouldn't tell her the truth. It's one thing when you are just trying to know someone and don't explain your business, but he has been dating her for months. He is letting it cost them their relationship and lying the whole time rather than actually telling her. It's about truth and honesty, she never says "I'm more important than saving the world." But it's HIS sacrifice to make in order to do that, she didn't sign up for that. There was a lot of unhealthiness in Debbie and Nolan's relationship too, but at least she knew from the get-go that Omni Man was a super hero.

I could buy Amber being illogically mad if it was framed like that. She could've stay mad and made it clear that at the time Mark fought the cyborg she "knew" he was Invincible but wasn't 100% sure about it. So when he ran off and left her there she thought she completely misread the situation and for a second believed her boyfriend left her there to die. You could even change the framing on her line "You made me feel stupid" so it's not about him lying but about him leaving to change into his costume. It would still be kind of illogical and emotional but it would be slightly warranted in that she feared for her life and felt abandoned. It could've worked... if the writers didn't lose her marbles when writing her for whatever reason.

I think saying mark is treating Amber like a pet is really extreme and Mark is a teenager he thinks that he can have both syoerheroing and a normal life. He also doing this to help and be like his father not fame and pride. Amber could also leave the relationship he isn't forcing her and her knowing about his identity makes things worse. But I'm of the opinion, that Mark's real power is endurance. He hadn't been punching the hardest (until the most recent episode), but because he would never surrender, and enemies needed to face him as they continued hurting him, that caused them to stop in many cases, and that happened with Omni Man, where he left.

I would've preffered for Debbie to have a special episode for her trauma, rather than breaking down in every episode. I get that stuff like these can't really be solved in an episode but most of the time when I wanted to see how the action will went up, she just pops out of nowhere, she felt like a complete filler in episode 4.

She was much more tame in the show rather than in the comics, I would say spoilers but I doubt they will do this in the show... when Mark found Debbie crying, in the comics she was an alcoholic due to her trauma and her and Art where drinking alot together and talking about how betrayed they both where by Nolan, and she blamed Mark for Nolan leaving and doing what he did (nolans rampage), they rly tamed her down for the series

Edit: also they nvr should have revealed she knew he was invincible the way they did, it was a whole arc in the comics and it showed her find out through her friend when she explaining how he disappeared during the reanimen attack at the college, and had them end on good terms with him beating up her future boyfriend after he abuses her because he cared about her so much...

My problem with Invincible heroes doesn't come from characterization (not entirely), it comes from the fact half of them suck on conceptual level. What I mean by that is characters like "Rexplode, Duplicate, Shrinking Rae" etc are laughably bad, like why are their hero names trash and why are they written to be so weak in comparison to others? 😂😂😂

I think that why they suck conceptually is because the heroes aren't supposed to be perfect. Kate and Rex are teens, and where like 13 when they chose their names, so of course they aren't going to be clever. And, they are weaker because they are human. The only real strong human superhero is Eve because she was the pinnacle of scientific invention, and a once in a lifetime one at that. The strongest heroes are all from off world, but they are colder, and the real strength of the humans is their resistance. Rex got SHOT IN THE HEAD, and walked it off. Rae is somehow still alive, even though she broke every bone in her body. But someone like: The Immortal tends to just run waya from his problems.

@@fictionalfanatics Bruh Rex has the ability of contact-explosion, he should be using that power more creativly instead of throwing "firecrackers" at opps, for example he can build-up explosive kinetic energy in his arms and feet to kick and punch with enough force to literally destroy anything he can, or he can also use the said kinetic energy to launch himself into the air if he only knew how. As for the names, I'm pretty sure a 12yo can come up with something more original than a pun-to-name Teen Team have and resiliance means nothing when almost everyone has it in the show, Rex was LUCKY to survive because the snake leader guy was a lousy shot and I'm pretty sure Rae is dead cause of suffocation

It feels like they are purposely making 20 minute fillers on characters that are either having their storylines so overused to the point. It's annoying or characters that are just simply unliked I can't remember about like 3 to 10 minutes scenes in episodes that are solely just Eve's parents arguing or being abusive Then for a good example of overused. It's Debbie. I like her character. I feel bad for what happened but every single episode of season 2 has had like 20 minute filler of her just losing her mind And then you have the weird filler of robot and monster girl..... Yeah I don't even want to go over that subject. The fact robot is really trying to get with someone that appears as a 6 to 9-year-old girl is really messed up
