Why Musical Style Matters

Just a bit of fun, but this very short video reinforces why musical style and instrumentation is so crucial in getting the "right" mood or emotion across in film music. By converting the Imperial March to G Major instead of G minor, and changing the instrumentation to a delicate ensemble of flute, French Horn, and Harp, the famous leitmotif is completely altered, and our perception of it - and the character of Darth Vader - is now so different from that which we experience in the films.
