So important to take into account the RATE of change in Australia. Natural cycle - a few thousand years to rise 400 feet. So many generations! Climate change so much faster.

That was a philosophical and a literary talk. An anthropological lesson at best. I still can’t find the vital connectivity between observation and the natural world and how we can apply this to climate change. I enjoyed his oration though.

Wow. This speech was absolutely brilliant and captivating! I too believe in the phenomenal, ans undeniable, power of storytelling, yet I do not think I had ever thought about it seriously in this particular way; that stories can also be used to capture our world, in a real sense, and save, preserve and protect the truth of the "Now". Thank you so much for this speech :)

This was amazing. I believe we really have to start looking at the old ways and incorporate them into how we live such that we again become the stewards of the planet. This means we must change. We must change how we do business first and foremost. I think that most of the damage humans have done involve the industrial practices we allow. Instead of working against the environment, we need creative ways to shape the communities around the environment. That is how it was done before we forgot. If we could all just work together, it would be so much nicer for everything on Earth. The Earth is capable of healing itself if we let it instead of developing ways to massacre each other. Does that make me an idealist? If I am, I’m proud to be one. How much more progress could we make if we put all our minds to it instead of developing weapons for war. Why is it needed if we could work as a team? How much less tax would we need to pay then? Hah. Dream on, right? Sad.

If it was a Utopia that we had where all humans believed in climate change and global warming things would have been different. The early warnings from the 70's and 80's that some heeded but the rest blindly flowed on. Plowing deeper into the hole . Even today we have sceptical people that don't believe. They in some ways can't see or hear the tsunami coming as the sit on the beach.. I tried to actually debate one of those but they failed and dropped any focus on the issue to take a pot shot at me .. Sadly most of them will never learn.. but when some of them are in positions of power politically speaking.. we will all lose.
