Here in this video, my father is discussing about his car buying decision making process. He initially started with a budget of 7 lacs and wanted to have a safe car that practically feels spacious like Wagon R. He never liked cars with less height. So, I suggested him Maruti Ignis and Tata Tiago XZ which are fine cars as per the cost.
When we checked Tiago at Dada Motors Ludhiana, he was not very impressed with the shape and fit & finish of Tiago. He was more keen & interested in Tata Nexon & Altroz but both cars were out of our budget. Dada Motors hospitality was so so and nothing to praise about. Then we visited Dada Motors Mahindra to check XUV3OO but their salesman was least interested to sell that car and we came back after pathetic sales experience.
Then, we asked Lovely Autos NEXA to send us Maruti Ignis for a test ride and we were almost sure that we are going to buy a Maruti Ignis Alpha/Delta for peace of mind ownership and space.
But when he drove and checked out Ignis, he wasn't impressed and almost dropped the plan to buy a new car. I kept him convincing for Nexon, Amaze, Tiago and Altroz because I wanted him to buy a safe yet a spacious car that suits his needs. But the other day, I visited Lally Motors, Ludhiana for some checkup work for my T-Roc and there I casually checked prices for Polo Trendline.
But their salesman Taranjeet ji, immediately made a very good month end offer of 30K discount, loyalty bonus and corporate bonus as extra. He promised me some other goodies too. We striked the deal at just Rs 6.50 lacs when their Vice-President Mr.Rohit Sharma intervened to offer a mouth watering deal. I booked the car immediately for my father and next day he came, checked out the car and was really happy to get such a product at such low price. (Imagine, we were paying 7.10 lacs for Delta Ignis).
Now he is really happy to have a Polo despite its shortcomings.

Daddy, why do you keep Altroz in doubt, when Sunder Paaji strongly suggests Polo? You know, Polo is a safe car. You and I are 6 feet in height today, and maybe, according to you, I will cross 6 feet 3 inch soon, but even Paajis are very tall. Yet they suggest Polo. So go for it.

Polo is better. Highline plus manual is great value and performance is simply mind-blowing why I booked one. If you want space go for Honda City rather than Rapid since it's very comfortable and has good enough performance.

Considering how cars are getting overpriced these days, this Polo makes a lot of sense. Everyone says that the Polo, Vento are a decade old but what none says is that these cars are solid built, still look good, if not one of the best, but most importantly they are really well priced as of today. Neither would i have taken Tiago, ignis, i10. This is the best choice Congratulations Sirji. The Polo is the best looking and most well built hatch in its class. Abd this red looks damn hot.

नई कार के लिए बधाई। पोलो और वो भी लाल रंग में , सेफ्टी के साथ एक धांसू कार। इसका लाल रंग किसी भी कार के लाल रंग से 20 नही सीधा 30 लगता है, खास तौर पर 5 10 पुरानी कार होने पर भी। गजब का पेंट क्वालिटी है, किसी भी रंग की कार हो VW की कार का कोई मुकाबला नही है। VW वाले फीचर भले थोड़ा कम दे, मगर जो देते है बेस्ट देते है। और चलाने के बाद समझ आता है कि पेपर पर जो लिखा है वो इसको चलाने के बाद वो कम लगता है, और जो इसको एक बार चला लेगा उसको इसके बाद कोई कार को चलाने में मजा आएगा ही नही। अंकल जी को बहुत बहुत बधाई एक सेफ और बढ़िया कार लेने के लिए। अब भारत के लोग भी कार खरीदने में सेफ्टी को बड़ा पहलू मान रहे है, ये देख सुन कर बहुत अच्छा लग रहा है।

Before 3 month I purchased polo tsi along with cover costs me 1300. They recommend highly to purchase the cover.after month usage the covers thickness is reduced and got teared. I asked them to replace they said that the quality of the car is not nice and told me shop name to purchase the car cover there.they knows the covers quality is cheap. Then why they recommending to us to buy the cover.

I have both POLO and Ignis. Although there is much difference in both the cars. But I feel Ignis is a well rounded product in that category with space, high ground clearance, peppy engine, good mileage and better build quality than Baleno.. Most of the people don't like its exterior or interior because of a different design language but I still feel it is a very good car and highly underrated.

Uncle ji, with due respect, I want to tell something. I was a first time car buyer too but I did not buy a Maruti ka Dabba. Instead I bought Tata Tiago because it is a much better value for money. But VW Polo is really amazing.

Safety is not everything. Don't blow your budget just because of safety. I have been watching your channel since the beginning. I feel like this safety thing is going out of proportion. People are getting brainwashed with this idea of safety. If you are looking at NCAP stars to judge how a car will save you at the time of accident, then you are mostly wrong. Most likely there is only one thing which makes a big impact on whether you will live or die in an accident, and that is the airbag / seatbelts. Without them you are surely gone. Let's look at the NCAP, they do their testing at a collision speed of 60 kmph. Nearly 150000 people die every year in India in road accidents, and do you really think their speed was 60 kmph? Or the vehicle that collided with them had a speed of 60 kmph? Most certainly not. It's the over speeding which takes lives or collisions with heavy vehicles. 5 star NCAP rating has no chance when a truck runs over you, or you run under them. Most accidents happen this way. In places like Chandigarh, Mohali you can't even reach a speed of 60Kmph in the city if you follow the rules. Your advice to people should be like this, if they mostly run in the city and they are decent drivers. Then it's okay to buy cars with less than 4-5 stars rating. Save the hard earned money and invest somewhere, people should at least get their health insurance before talking about safety in cars. Which most people don't have. Old people should not drive if they are that concerned, their body just can't take a hit as compared to a young person. And if someone goes on highway a lot, by a lot means really a lot like 90 % of the time. They should invest in 3-4-5 stars rating sedan cars, due to their much better handling and high center of gravity. This might at least allow them to dodge an accident without their car giving up on them by sliding and getting toppled. On highway at high speed your chance of ending up in an accident and dying is high, that's way you give extra money to increase your chance of surviving slightly. But it does not guarantee that you will survive a high speed crash. You are just increasing the odds of surviving and that too barely. If people are that worried about the accident/safety. Why not just completely remove the risk and go by bus and train. Probability of surviving or dodging an accident is high when you put more thought into driving and not as much into buying a safe car. Teach people the ways of how to drive in India and avoid accidents. People should always think one step ahead while driving in all cases, meaning how to save themselves from the mistake of someone else. I.E driving in such a way that if something happens at least you bought yourself some time to react (by driving correctly) and potentially saving yourself. Why put all your trust in your car in the first place? Your videos might start give people the poor idea of safety. They will think "Oh, I now have bought a safe car, now it's no problem, nothing will happen to me, I can drive the way I want to" in this confidence they will start driving at high speed and will die and put other people's life in danger. Because they don't know beyond 60kmph anything can happen. Do people really think the car company cares about you? All they have to do is achieve 4-5 stars in NCAP and their sales are done. They want to save as much money as they can and they will do everything to do it. (Ask any businessman) Just put barely enough material so that we get 4-5 stars at 60 kmph collision. With R&D and good engineers it's easy to do. What happens at 70 kmph does not matter to them. I hope this gives you a new perspective to look at things.

You just explained the only problem with this channel beautifully, I still agree to the fact that Tata and VW cars are the safest because of their Build Materials and Quality but brands like Hyundai, Kia, Mahindra, Ford aren't way behind either. I just saw an accident report of a Sonet, Altroz and a third car I dont remember and you would be surprised to know that the Altroz got more damaged and it's passengers got injured too where as the Sonet passengers didn't get injured and the car got minimal damage. Now this is safety the truth, I'm not saying Kias are more safe or that Tatas aren't but I'm sure this accident didn't take place at 60 Km/h in specific environments. VWs are still and will always be very good in terms of their Build Quality adn the Materials used, Fit and Finish and will always ensure the highest amount of Safety but some people cant afford those cars or might want Features more in thoer car instead of Performance. In the end, even a Figo is good with safety, sure it's not good in Performance but if we just talk about Safety Polo isn't far ahead.

As is visited dealership for base variant but they pitch me Ambition variant and offered me good discount of 73000 over it but they said vehicle is billed and has not been registered to anyone. Should I go for this deal??? 2. After book when I told my know and friends they said skoda is expensive to maintain you should not go for this. 3. I have been searching over social media and Google most of the say that after sales service is not good. My location is in New Delhi. My dad will drive the car most of the time. I have suggested them to buy the car. Well I get some satisfaction after seeing you video but please answer will wait for your comment.

Lovely ji go for Altroz if space+safety is priority. Polo if 2 ppl travel often & powerful TSI engine. I hope this helps. Service cost is Rs 9K annually for Polo For Altroz it is around 6-7K

They are kinda same. Lag in 2nd & 3rd gear is evident. Polo scores more because Engine stays like that for 10+ years and better fit & finish overall.

@@SunderdeepSingh I bought skoda rapid rider+ as our first family car on your recommendation. Believe me it is true value for money car.. everything is just perfect.. I agree with you over space availability in hatchs but somewhere it was a suggestion. I would prefer polo if we had sedan at home.. Btw great choice.. 👍
