I can completely relate to your hair experience. My hair also started falling off my freshman year of college. I got shots in my scalp by my dermatologist. They did a biopsy of my scalp and they said the only thing they can think of is that its hereditary. NOONE in my family is bald nor have thin/thinning hair. It’s heartbreaking to see your hair fall out and not even the doctors could tell me why. I felt like a mystery patient. My hair has never been the same and it’s been 10 years. Some of it grew back and some of it didn’t. Stress is definitely a big factor. Y’all are amazing for sharing your story and giving us advice to make sure everyone gives themselves some time towards their mental health. ❤️👏👏👏

GREAT advice, I am a 2nd year Medical student and I stress out all the time, but it is hard in Medical School and you don't have time to even do anything... But I take at least an hour for my workout and 30 minutes checking my emails and watch y'all's videos and then I study till 2am to 3am. Then I get up at 7 do my yoga, drink my protein shake and a protein bar, go run an hour come back to my apartment take a shower and going to class at 10:30am, then 2:15 pm and then my last class it at 5pm. And they are all Honor classes... So I want to say thank y'all for everything y'all say and do, not only for me but for the younger generation.

In cosmetology school we are learning about relaxers which make curly or wavy hair straight they are very harsh on your hair because it takes the curl pattern of your hair and breaks the disulfide bonds and reforms them to a straighter look and without proper techniques and products bad things can happen I think that’s what she is talking about

Jaycee, I’m in nursing school and it gets even more stressful 😭 but I’m pushing through. My hair started falling out too and my face broke out from the stress...when I started working out more it helped me relieve that stress and have that time for myself...jack is right when he says school gets harder and i like how he gave advice about making a schedule for your day...nursing school is very challenging and I didn’t think I could do it but I have a year left and it’s been so tough but its so worth it!

my friend had the same thing. her mom passed away and it made her very upset and stressed out for the future and her hair started falling out and she had bald spots. she didn’t really tell anyone except her friends. she would always wear hats. eventually it all grew back and now her hair is thick and pretty! i still think your hair looks beautiful. stay positive :)
