Very inspiring video, as an older dad with an only child (daughter), I think you made the right decision and I would be super proud of my daughter if she does the same. However, I hope after you complete your BS in physics, you still apply to work for NASA or SpaceX. Sometimes us nerds need smart people who can talk better than us and can sell ideas we cant. Regardless what you decide, good luck with your future!

I’m a freshman physics and astronomy major and I’ve also been struggling in physics. I love astronomy and I hope I will continue to love coding and research, So I can imagine how hard it was to change career paths and decide not to go to grad school! I’m so glad you didn’t get caught up in the research and academia part of astronomy to have the title of working at nasa and found an astronomy-like field that makes you happy!
