Nice clear video, thanks for the information! I'm just starting to work on some small side projects as well and this video definitely helps me set more realistic expectations :D

Hey Chris, hang in there, you got this. I found you through Angela Yu, love your Simpsons in CSS only, you're like a coding God, simply amazing work. I like the fact that you you said you started in 2016 and let people realize that success doesn't happen overnight. I've had my shares of successes in helping others, but ya, doing everything yourself isn't very realistic in many ways. Before starting anything keep in mind scalability as well, research I think a lot of us don't do that as well. I'm actually moving from Digital Marketing (just tired of the industry) to what I was always most passionate about which is full stack development. It hasn't been an easy road, I used to teach basics but now as I'm going back to relearn it has been slower than I had hoped. But I know if I stick with it I should at least be able to find a job in the end (prayers offered here:D Anyways, stick with it, just remember success could be that next project, or maybe a few more failures, but to me we only fail when we give up and stop trying.

For both Scinder and OctopusHR you could have attempted to get a business partner or invester. Growth rates for the site would be looked at, and what it was offering as additional features, but they both sound interesting. Unless you can bridge that gap from hobby project to business, none of these will have any chance of success.
