Nice to meet you, I’m a Nara citizen. It's a familiar landscape for local people, but thank you for introducing us. 😊 Deer(Shika-san)🦌 are always cute. 🥰 I am also looking forward to seeing the landscape videos of Deer(Shika-san)🦌 and other places in Nara that many people have filmed. (I have collected them in my video list. Please take a look if you like.) 😌 It was a great pity that you were not able to climb Mt. Wakakusa. However, there are two ways to climb to the summit even during the closing period. One is to take a taxi 🚕 from the city and climb to the top of the mountain. This method does not have a taxi 🚕 on the way home, so you need to have the driver wait for you.☝️ The second method is to walk up the mountain path on the north side of Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and you can reach the summit in about 40 minutes on foot, about 2.5 km from the trailhead. It is a gentle road with no stairs that passes through the "Kasugayama Primeval Forest", so you can enjoy the Japanese temperate forest at your leisure.☝️ The scenery seen from the summit of Mt. Wakakusa can be seen as far as Kyoto, and it is beautiful when the sunset changes to the night view. 🌇 Oops, I forgot to mention one thing. There are also deer (Shika-san)🦌 on the top of the mountain, so if you buy “deer crackers 🍘” in town and bring them with you, you will be very welcome. 😂 Thank you very much. Arigatou-gozaimasu.🤗🍀

I'm happy to see you coming back to Japan and having fun. Mochi you ate is green, but it's not due to green tea but a kind of wild grass called "yomogi". Yomogi mochi is one of common types of mochi. I can't wait for your next video.

@@AlinaMcleod さん I’m a Nara citizen. Yes, yomogi mochi is made by adding finely chopped mugwort powder. It has a unique scent. And the taste of matcha is more astringent. But it tastes good, depending on how you use it.🍵🍡😌🍀

Hi Alina, Great experience, great video, cut, audio and selection of music. No need to convince me to visit Nara. Have been there in 2019. It was impressive. In Todai Ji the guide explained the dimensions of the Buddha and the building like this: The width of the path into the temple is as long as the length between the two fish on the top of the roof. As You mentioned in Your lifestreams twice the situation regarding trash cans in public. They have been removed after a terror attack and have not been returned. You can wikipedia it (I do not want to include external links in comments). Hopefully You also have seen the whole in Todaj Ji, where the people go through for good health. Best regards, Ralf

Living here almost 30 years I could say if you ever had a chance to get a car and check the mountains of Nagano you will experience those deers in their wild beautiful home. Not so domesticated like Nara but so purely natural. Close to Nara and Kyoto you can enjoy Kanazawa city, Fantastic old and modern city. Enjoy Your Stay… 😊

Wow when you said there wasn't a lot of foreigners my impression was there just wasn't a lot of people, period. When I was in Nara at roughly the same time of year there was ten times the people and I was told that it was quiet then. So you were able to enjoy it without the crush of humanity. From the start of the video to the end your smile gave evidence to how much much you enjoyed the place. Todai-ji is simply amazing and not to be missed. The park around the temple is very calm and peaceful. The resident deer are very use to people and for the most part its peaceful coexistence. However, there are some aggressive animals who will challenge you if they believe you're holding out food from them. Still, it's a must see location.

Kusamochi is made by mixing glutinous rice with the leaves of a plant called mugwort, and the inside of kusamochi is adzuki beans. Therefore, matcha is not used in kusamochi. By the way, the yellow powder on the outside of the kusamochi is called soybean flour.

Many kinds of Mochi (Rice cake) are served on the dining table at various ceremonial occasions in Japan. By eating this KUSA-Mochi( Early spring Herb: Mugwort), get rid of Evil spirits, Ogres, or Demons accumulated in the body during harsh and dark winter. I think you saw SAKURA-Mochi(Pink color Mochi with a cherry leaf ) somewhere this season as well. We have believed that as a kind of superstition ever since ancient times. 😀😃👹👺👻🙏🌸🌺❤💙💛
