Yep... had this happen to me with a coworker. It is very draining and infuriating! Anything I did, she just HAD to do it too: hair, clothing, makeup, personality, mannerisms, speech, habits, etc. When I first met her, she stared me down... I will never forget it, it was super weird. At first, she looked and acted a certain way, but I noticed gradually, over a few days, she started dressing and acting more and more like me. She had this strange habit of staring intently at me, almost like she was studying me. It was all so creepy, that I ended up distancing myself from her, after only knowing her for 2-3 weeks. When I did this, she started stalking me around the office, and saying awful things about me behind my back. This all prompted me to start keeping a detailed log on her behaviors, and eventually go to management. You’re not even thinking about these people, but they try to turn everything you do into a game of “who did it better.” They are highly envious of others, and will stop at nothing to get what they want out of them. They are truly demonic and evil. It’s best to get as far away from these people, as possible, when encountering a person like this. They are incredibly toxic.

This is so true! My Narc friend was fake happy when I got engaged. Anytime someone would ask me about my wedding plans or tell me my ring was beautiful she would glare at me with envious and jealous eyes. Looking into her eyes you can tell something is off almost like the devil.

Yes my one I just got rid off....she got a nose ring when I had one...same hair colour....and when she got a campervan and a dog the same I was like damn girl....oh and when I went vegan surprise surprise she know wanted to become vegan....but she only last a month and went back to meat....but what got me was the nose ring....because it was my thing and then she turns up with it and that pissed me off....Havent worn one since I only wear a stud now........ That’s was my thing.....she knew too cause I couldn’t stop steering at her nose with it in so......but after 22 years of friendship and her trying to destroy my soul.....and her crazy family too.I finally good rid of her took 16 hrs of her basically abusing me via text message and a lot of grey rocking on my part....I GOT RID OF HER.........FREEDOM............

The same thing happened to me in regards to a narc buying what i have, i bought a pair of shoes and I never shop but When I do I buy mid priced items, so brands that aren’t very well known or extremely expensive but it’s still over $300 and has more of a cult following if that makes sense, independent designers, so the narc saw me with the shoes and actually made fun of how they looked because they were pretty distinctive looking, weeks later the narc bought the exact pair I had ON TOP of another color way. A brand they never probably even heard of. It was so disgusting to me especially because that was someone I considered my friend, other things happened and they showed they really hated me years later and we cut ties. But when I think of all the passive aggressive, mean things they did I feel bad I let them treat me bad. When I started wearing eyelashes the narc mocked me saying I was trying too hard and gave me funny looks all night but again later started wearing false lashes as well. It still hurts because I used to be myself but hid in the shadows and this person would copy me and be very extrovert and always mingling with different people with pieces of my personality and style they stole from me

This is so true! I've noticed even age doesn't matter..a senior citizen narc will try to imitate copy steal identity of a 20 or 30 something person and they don't even realize how utterly ridiculous they appear and because they are old grannies people feel bad to confront it or them..they just chalk it up to old age.. but only narcs do this and age doesn't matter

She literally started acting just like me and even tries to dress like me, When I got engaged she became even more Jealous and Envious. She did not like it when people would tell me my rings was pretty or congratulate me on my engagement so she started wearing random rings on her ring finger even though she is not engaged in hopes of stealing my shine. She is nothing but a nutcase!

Just came across your channel yesterday. Good content Kevin! You are not lying about these mimicking narcissists. This has also been happening to me with my former ex-narcs and coworker narcs. In fact, one is on my job, and I have to avoid her so she doesn't see what I look like. She copies me and tries to outshine me. It's very obvious and it annoys the heck out of me. What she doesn't know is that I'm not ever competing with her. I just could do without a clone.

This is so funny because I've seen this with my narcissistic family member or should I say relatives. I remember with my little sister who's her toxic borderline personality we were hanging out with are cousins ones a low-level narcissist the other one is a high-level narcissist and they would all compete with each other and I would just be sitting there like wtf. It was somebody I know this because my sister would try too hard whenever they just come around and I just started coming out of town she was already around them years before I even met them I don't know these girls like that. So when I came along I have my own little personality I never felt like I had to force anything like they did I was just who I was the way I carry myself the way I talk. This is what my sister used to do say like me and her have a conversation about a social topic for something I will say my take on it I'll make jokes or say certain catchphrases you know to get my point across. So when we would get around the girls my little sister would try to make sure she say it first and I always thought that was strange. When the topic would arise she would hurry up and try to say it before I was able to say it to them. She always tried to mimic my view points even when she didn't agree but would act like she agreed and like she came up with the concept when around other people. Want me to get around the girls she would try to finish my sentences and it annoys me a lot like I can barely get a word out. It's like she didn't really have a strong sense of self and her own custom personality so she tried to... like you said ..mimic what I came up with and then act like it's her. Another thing she did which made me upset and I was just like this girl really is crazy. Okay so before our brother was murdered me and him had our lil issues beforehand so I took it really bad ok. Anyways my brother had borrowed my duffle bag and he was using it up until the day he died. So after the funeral and everything I was getting ready to leave town to live elsewhere because I couldn't be around the narcissistic abuse and toxicity any longer. So I decided to go through the duffle bag to see what was going through his mind in his last days and to also use that duffle bag to leave. I was going to put some things in the closet that belong to him and then keep some things as memories I guess. Go in the pocket of the bag I find some sketches that he had that basically suggested that he was planning on getting some tattoos one was an anchor the other one Marvin the Martian. Cartoon character named after him. So knowing my sister I made a terrible mistake and I told her about it and I distinctly remember sitting in the room telling her exactly what I did and I said yeah I'm going to get the tattoo of Marvin the Martian as a dedication to him to finish off what he wanted to do in life. I was going to have a cartoon character holding a Belizean flag because he really loved his culture. Looking back her eyes were turning as if she was she would have had that idea I guess. Later on I said it again on another occasion with her and my other sister as my witness. Do you know this girl ends up getting the tattoo that I told her I was going to get! Then she tells me the same exact story that I told her about finding the sketches in the duffle bag up and down that it was her. I knew it was a blatant lie because why would you go through my duffle bag that he borrowed? It was my bag to sort through. So she hurry up and got the tattoo and I just remember being really perplexed about it. Sorry for the long post but that was just sick to me like you really ain't gotta a mind of your own. That's what narcissist do and toxic people do that as well. It would be down to my favorite music hobbies certain viewpoints on things my colloquialisms and she would tell me me and you have the same mind I'm like no to fuck we don't otherwise we'd actually get along better. My cousins and older sister based on the same thing to me too as well then try to flip it and make it seem like it was them. They try to prove their deep by saying their deep because they as how I carry myself without all the superficial fluff that comforts and validates. Sorry for the long post I just had to share it with someone. One valuable thing I learned from this situation is never tell anybody especially narcissist what your plans dreams goals aspirations and anything creative don't tell them shit. Be very covert and aloof with them. That way they can't steal you from YOU.

Belizean Bad&Bruja I am so sorry you are dealing with this, what a difficult, stressful thing to go through. You are so right! You have to keep mum around these types of people. Do not talk to them, or tell them anything. They are evil parasites, and will watch everything you do, so they can copy it, and pretend that this was their idea all along. They don’t know who they are, and will steal the positive traits/qualities from the people they wish they could be. I dealt with this with a coworker who got clingy, tried to mimic everything I did, and steal ideas from me. I cut her off after only a few days of knowing her. This drove her completely insane, not knowing what was going on with me. She resorted to following me around the office. She would also try to get information on me from other staff... It was absolutely horrible! I had to get management involved. Cut them off, go no contact, and stay no contact!

I embrace my smear campaigns now.

Belizean Bad&Bruja You are absolutely right about that. These people were clearly sent from the devil himself to mess with good, kind people, and to try to destroy us. They are sick and demonic, and will eventually be seen for what they truly are, even if it takes years. If they are obsessively smearing us to others, and we're not responding to it, they will make themselves look like the basket case in the end (especially if we were the ones who discarded them first). They will not shut up talking about us, and people start to realize that these folks aren't wrapped too tight, and what they are saying doesn't align with reality. I can talk all day about this!

I knew a guy who is a narcissist but he didn't really mimic me. He was very good at impersonating famous people and with art he could only copy and do nothing original. With singing he would copy and not sing in his own voice. Overall he was someone with no creative talent.

I noticed that my brother would pick up on his narc traits and actually would double reverse it where he would watch me diligently and if I showed interest in swimming he would join swimming 2 weeks before I would commit to it and then say I was the one copying him. He did this with all sorts of things. He would claim things I showed interest in and personally would enjoyed even if he didn’t really like it. and this would also make it seem like I was the one who didn’t have an identity, and my identity was everything he liked.

Because he doesn’t have an identity, and to protect the false self identifies with an apex predator, he would become a monster by learning to adapt and apply all the different types of aggressive traits of predators in the wild. I noticed that he would quietly tribute these ideas like aggressive mimicry for example by having zebra socks or something that alluded to the style of predation he would use. He would pretend to be a weak prey animal to befriend his victims and he would dress in zebra prints as like a secondary power feeling for getting away with preying on you and justified it by saying he gave you the hint, but you were too stupid to figure it out. The problem is most humans in nature don’t think humans are predators. Only the narc convinces himself to think in a predator prey mindset. I notice the narc likes to give a single tell sign as your way out. If you’re smart enough to read the signs and escape the trap then you can bet that he will come for you even harder because now you’re a real threat. That’s why most people say it’s best to avoid them and run away, but if you do run into them, do not try to win and take the easy loss and then run away and don’t fight back or make it known to them that you noticed their tell signs which caused you to run away, but if you do notice them, slowly back away so they don’t know you know what they are because that’s a challenge to them to set a tougher trap for you in the future. Most people don’t see the signs because they don’t think to look for them. They use these signs as a justification for their predatory behavior to say that like hey I gave you a way out but you were too stupid and took the bait on the hook. They think, That’s your problem when in reality it’s taboo behavior for humans to behave like animals do. Acting like animals in a predator prey mindset is a social construct made up by power, money, sex addicts to justify their perversions. Narcissists are not humans, they are freinkenstein monsters.
