Hot take but I believe if Victor has an all time great career people will start using his height against him in all time talks. It’s common that centers and other tall players are under appreciated. It’s at the point where the only reason people have Kareem as top 3 is because it’s consensus but if you look at a lot of peoples top 15s. They’ll have Kobe over Tim Duncan even though their careers are synonymous because it’s deemed that being talented at a shorter height means more than being talented as a tall player. This reasoning is also used to elevate players like Curry

They play into as part of his regression as he was “never a skilled big” more of a brute force merchant. Even though these people seem to have never watched him before the Lakers. Also KD isn’t classified in the bigs I mentioned before as he’s played SF and some PF for most of his career. Also he’s a tall player but he’s a safe guarded by hoop talk discourse.

Victor however is STILL damn near a dead eye, he’s STILL got incredible defensive timing, he’s STILL got a handle that would only be better at a smaller size, and he’s still got an insanely high IQ for basketball.

He looks really good on the perimeter because he's to fast for other people his height and a huge mismatch for guards as well, the optimal player to guard him is a long good defensive wing which not every team even has, i feel like he'll play on the peremeter or paint depending on the team they go against

I think the thing that really shows how much of a problem victor is gonna be is that the entire league is already trying to come up with a plan on how to stop him. Being 7'4" is definitely an advantage in basketball, but being 7'4" and also being 210 lbs really isn't. *Finesse > brute force* Victor's body and health at that size are what makes his game the way it is. His skills/talent along with his build, reduces the need for insane strength. Though assumably Victor will eventually add some 💪

People don't realize, or simply don't care to know but, the FIBA rules are much more physical nowadays than the NBA. That is not a bad thing, since the NBA evolved into more of skill league which I'm fine with. Its better for the players health (allowing them longer careers and primes) while also giving us a fans a better show.
