i already did not buy 2K25. i actually went back to 2K23 after i realized gameplay and performance was worse in 2K24. all i do is play MyWNBA, so i’m good on 2K23. a Roster Update is not that important to me. if i want a player that bad, i can recreate them in Create a Player.

It’s predatory how 2k doesn’t allow you to change your build, while making a new build cost an absurd amount of money/time, on top of the fact that we don’t know what arbitrary attribute threshold you need to hit in the builder in order to have your build actually be good. “Oh sorry, you put your three pointer to an 85, you actually needed an 86 to hit consistently” type sh*t. Imagine a 10 year old who makes a bad build cuz he doesn’t know any better, then spends 100 hours in boring my career grinding it, then goes online and gets bullied by the toxic 2k player base.

I fell into this trap for years. Making your first build in the new 2k just to find out a couple days later that so and so attribute is basically useless, you need this attribute at so and so to hit this threshold, this height is worse than that height, etc… and then you shell out another bag to make another build and start all over because you don’t want to play with an inferior build all year. I waited a whole 2 weeks to make my build this year lol

They’ll say it’s a “skill issue” and whole time you win more than them and shoot a better %. I think one of the biggest problems with 2K is the community. Half of the people in the comments will still go out and buy 2k26 when it gets here including some VC. Hell even streamers like this who say the game is dead will gladly spend $70 plus some for VC on release, play the game for hours for content just so they can get on here and tell us it's getting trash. Optimization is a big problem with this game. I will say that optimization for video games is generally starting to become a problem. Because of the power of new consoles and PC hardware. So developers are applying Band-Aid fixes and hoping the equipment Powers you through. This usually happens out of their control. as they're not given the time or money to do proper optimization or bug fixes. This problem gets worse when you're dealing with companies like take two. who literally would sell their own child for a profit.

Been playing online since 2K10. Server been trash for 15 years. 2K needs to be held accountable. They cater to new people because the old heads already know its trash but its only thing we got. So the new 2K fans think its good. I remember on 360 you could just usb hack to 99 instead of VC and people respected the my player grind. I could upgrade it to 79 and then find an 80 variant of the card and continue it all the way to 99 and if they want they could allow different versions of a player like #8 Kobe and #24 Kobe and let you change between them.
