Great episode. I think the only advantage “new guys” have in our industry is the fact that detailing has become more popular, so there’s more references/videos out there to learn from. So you can start with more knowledge. Besides that, you guys nailed it: we need to be so far ahead, nobody really should be threat, or else we gotta look in the mirror. I gotta start posting videos. Got a lot in my mind I’d love to share like how you guys do here. Keep it up!

So true, you attract the client your bussines comes off as. If you present as a "discount detailer" that wants volume and undercharges for the promised work then you will consistently get clients that only price shop and will lowball to get as much work out of you and will still be unhappy because they had to pay $60 bucks.

There are more vehicles out there than there are detailers, we shouldn’t never see other detailers as a threat. If you do then your head ain’t thinking in the right mindset as a business owner. This ain’t high school. As stated you should be concentrating on metrics, analytics, numbers from last years based on this year etc. Just worry about you and your business. They weren’t a threat when you started why is there a threat now?

They are only a threat while dealing with prices, Also What kind of new Detailer ? The Crocs detailers The one that run a Instagram, you tube & tik tok and have no clients The one who reviews products and have no idea what are they talking about I can keep going, Detailing is an Art that not many can achieve, anyone can wash a car.... Running a Mobile detailing business takes time, is about great costumer service and the best quality results, I do not worry about others detailers in my area I know my work and clients pay my high end prices.
